"Man, that Jeddah race sure was a snoozer. At least IndyCar will have a thrilling battle for the lead!"
IndyCar's battle for the lead:
As a Newgarden fan, I do not apologize. I enjoyed every minute of it.
@@psychlops924same here
I was more interested in seeing the battle for third after seeing how far ahead Newgarden was. Super happy Scott managed to get third after his not so good qualifying.
Newgarden is really doing well of late. Ihope he goes to LeMans with Penske Porsche.
It’s not a 22 second lead in indycar
The first Indycar race I watched live. I got to explain to my parents that no, Sting Ray is not a nickname
Plentiful, colourful cars, many pit stops, fire, that’s how f1 should be.
Thanks will for comedifying this for us. ❤️
Maybe without the literal fire
@@siedra4969I was thinking the same thing😂
I was there at the race and all I could think about was you talking about Sting Ray Rob after he dnfed lol
I was at turn 10 and when I saw it on the screen I made the same joke Will just made lmao
the paralympics joke killed me haha
Shame there was no mention of the commentators on everyones relationship status
i didn’t need to know leigh diffey’s wife’s hall pass
Man that section got side eye from my wife lol
That's what happens when you have a 6 month off season.
I will continue to call Sting Ray Robb's car the Jesus Car or Jesus Mobile as long as that sponsor is on there.
Pray-for-our-engine-mobile
The pray-that-we-finish-the-race-mobile
Indycar ends my seasonal depression
F#@king a Skippy!
Sting ray Robb for president
Rumor is he is asking Jim Bob Cooter to be VP to draw in the football vote
Thank you Will for being the person that indirectly got me into IndyCar!
Can’t believe you didn’t talk about Canapino going off while divebombing Ilott
He sent it in HOT against Ilott. I wonder if Ilott is getting death threats again from the Argentinians fans because they think he ruined Canapino’s race.
@@Flat_6just don't mention the Falklands
@@Jacobmathews. I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it.
Can we just rename this the Sting Ray Rob channel? It’s cleaner
Was at the race and the one last year. This one was a snorefest compared to last yr but you said it. Newgarden isn’t a road course guy. But also very mature drive from herta. Definitely learned a lot in the offseason
Herta stayed out of trouble and didn’t make mistakes. Solid race. Newgarden was surgical this weekend.
I was sitting in turn 1 and got to see Canapino try to assassinate Illot surprised you didn't mention that.
Man you push content out so quickly after events, much loved!! Keep up the great work 🎉
Appreciate it!
0:36 well that turned quite dark quite quick 💀
Will is faster as Alpine with his video's. Keep up the good work mate !
The NFL music is a great touch
I thought it was from something like a Mario game (I couldn't tell you what the NFL or Mario themes sound like). From the 1990s.
Lol that's fair. It's technically the “NFL on FOX” American Football theme. If you were a fan of an NFC team then you heard this pretty often
@@y_fam_goeglyd nerding out a bit, but there's technically 6 different NFL themes and they all depend on which network(FOX, CBS, NBC, ESPN) and day you're watching the game on(Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday) lol
@@y_fam_goeglydthe opening song was the NFL song, you probably had the song from the second half of the video in your head, which is the Corneria theme from Nintendo’s Star Fox and also Smash Bros
Was my first IndyCar race in person and man it was so much fun. It was extremely hot the first two days, but Sunday was BEAUTIFUL! Sat in the Turn 10 grandstands which ended up being one of the best seats there. Super excited for the rest of the season
i cant believe that nfl intro music isnt copyrighted....
At least i can now watch a race without hearing the dutch anthem
I was sitting at the T10 grandstands all weekend and it was great time!
Sting Ray Robb making races interesting again
Thank you AJ Foyt for signing him!
Praise Be!
@@FP1Will Serious question. Why do guys like Devlin Defrancesco, Conor Daily, and Pedersen all lose their spots but he gets signed to a new team? They all seemed to have equally poor performance and results last year. I think Devlin even finished higher in the points too.
@@tweek218 Rumor is he went to church with the people who sponsor him and they wrote him a big check to take to foyt, which also ended up forcing pedersen out. As for DeFrancesco, I was surprised when no one signed him because of the sponsorship he brought but there was just no interest in him
@@tweek218 Serious answer: money. Sting Ray Robb reportedly brought $9 million for his seat. Pedersen even had a multi-year contract, but Sting Ray's cash may have been enough to pay for his seat WHILE buying out the rest of Pedersen's contract.
I just made it home from the drive back from the St Pete GP and all I’ve been thinking about was this video
Hope you enjoyed it!
We need coyne-watch for the indycar comedy review
This but let’s dub it the Coyne-toss 😅
@@dlombana161 Love it since that's what we're getting for his drivers this year.
Its ring ray rob
Glad to see more comedy review content! Sad the battle for 1st this race wasn’t really a thing 😂
Well done mate, another great paced and funny video! You're so fast at uploading!
I was there this year. Me and my friend sat down by turn 7 chicane waiting for the big one, and they kept it so clean. Big sad. I'm just happy it's like $100 all weekend instead of going to monaco to watch the same sort of precession.
Finally i found someone good who make videos about Indycar ❤
Thank you!!
Watching official Indy car race highlights❌ watching will fp1 Indy car comedy review ✅
Wow, this was up quick. Well done
9:26 - I am new here (and to Indycar as well) and these are very fun. count me in.
Covering the qualy and the race is an excellent idea.
Qualifying was for real actual excitment
RPM has declared you an ally in the war against fascism. We trust you will do the right thing when the time comes
Reporting for duty!
As soon as I saw Sting Ray wipe out, I thought.. somewhere FP1 Will has a big smile on his face.
No! I was gutted!
I jokingly asked a friend on Saturday what lap he thought Stingray Robb was gunna crash on for Sunday's race. I said 27 and he said 34. When it actually happened, we laughed and then felt bad about it shortly after. Robb is so terribly cursed, sometimes I feel bad for him.
It might seem crazy what im bout say
Honestly I think it was just a clean race by IndyCar standards. Good mix of strategy, minimal cautions, and great wheel to wheel battles. I hoped for more action at the front, but Newgarden was just locked in for the race today
I think it helped that there was even more off season testing because of the hybrid this year. Even if you run the Daytona 24, there's nothing that gets up prepped for a low downforce no power steering open wheel car like IndyCar runs.
Oh how I've missed Indycar comedy reviews
Colin Braun is a very talented sportscar driver. It's his first IC race w a shit team but he is a good driver. It would have been better if he got this chance several years ago. I am surprised he's not with a GTP team this year...
Let's all pray for Robb ;)
I wish you mentioned the flagman's flair when Newgarden came around the checkered flag.
Aaron Likens is the best flagger in motorsports. Check out Indycar's "Meet the Paddock" interview with him.
@@UNHchabo Aaron is totally committed as it IS his lifelong ambition. Check out David Land's piece about him pre 2023 Indy 500 video! (As an aside), there's a really big mark to achieve when compared to the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway starter (AKA "Flagman") Pat Vidan. Also, with an honorable mention goes to 1980's "CART" Race Signalman Nick Fornoro!
So happy this is returning this year
This was the first Indycar race I've seen in person, and indeed the first motorsport event I've ever gone to. I had a seat right above Grosjean's pit box.
And if THAT was a boring indycar race, I'm going to have to make it to a lot more of them.
Colin Braun should have been in IndyCar a decade ago. He's an IMSA champ and an FIA Gold rated driver. He also owns the fastest lap ever turned on the Daytona oval.
But at 35, this opportunity is coming a bit too late. Its cool he'll have a few goes at Indy races but he's still got a long sports car career ahead of him too
Yes! More comedy reviews! Lets gooo!
I've never heard "Pato O'Ward" pronounced like "Josef Newgarden", but congratulations to the first-time winner!
St. Pete means something completely different in Argentina
Santino visiting childeren hospital is just pure curse
Even stranger is that he actually drove a good race.
@@Flat_6let me one up you, he’s actually married
I think despite some issues later on this weekend showed that there was a serious disconnect between Grosjean and the Andretri car/team because he did objectively great pretty much all weekend but he DEFINITELY did better than with Andretti. Honestly until that clipping and power failure he was just steadily working forward. He's still who I'll be rooting for all season just like last season.
"He's just out of sync, dont worry" That was ice cold lamooo
I was at that race and I felt pain
"have they not already suffered enough" too true
Came here from RPM patreon. Subbed.
Welcome aboard!
Can’t wait for the Thermal Club review
The NFL entry kills me every time 😂
They’re back, let’s goooooo
Like the Splatoon music 😊🎉
Big fan of your videos!
Glad you like them!
Can you do a video on why Callum Illot was dropped by Juncos? I understand there was some unrest but don't get the full story
He accidentally sabotaged Canapino's race twice last year, and Illot got non stop death threats from Argentina that Juncos did nothing about while the rest of the series was outraged. After Laguna Seca, Juncos dropped him after most of silly season was over out of spite.
@@danielhenderson8316 Juncos basically told him to deal with the harassment and shut up about it so he quit. Talk about a toxic work environment
Love the Indy content
I wouldnt expect IndyCar to have "good" race until the hybrid units come in. All the tires were designed around the heavier cars and the lighter cars is leading to minimal tire deg. We all know how low tire deg hurts race action.
Another raceday complete - St Pete GP- Indy comedy review!
I have to recommend more music for Comedy Reviews to stay fresh, like Splattack! from Squid Squad (Splatoon OST).
Dude youre class 😂
Wasn’t like last years first race that’s for sure
No jokes about Andretti telling Penske to sell the series? It's not all unicorns and rainbows on this side of the pond.
Open it up! In spite all of its flaws IndyCar still is the best series out there!
Go on do WEC and formula e too
IMSA too at that rate
Grew up hearing these cars .
I giggled way too much to this.
Love the f1 and indycar reviews. You should toss in formulaE too! Lots of chaos there as well
Maybe one day…
We thank you for your service comrade!!!
Always love your content and can wait for another year of verstappen dominating F1
P.s.
Definitely not from Russia
Much appreciated!
Newgarden did say team Penske worked hard to improve their road and street course package in a pre-race interview. Turns out he was right and Penske isn't fucking around.

You're secretly overjoyed @rocketpowermohawk hasn't discovered this racing yet...
A Frenchman quitting?
Who would've guessed 😂
That nfl music is not helping my withdrawals 😅
RIP Lucky 🥲
didn’t even realise Stingray was in the field this year before seeing him DNF. my 🐐
Ouch

Hi everyone there. Maybe someone know, Where can the Indy races can be watched ?
Check Indycar's "Where to watch" page for where it will be broadcast. At the very least, on their youtube channel they have 30-minute highlight videos for every race, which I think works pretty well to show you everything relevant.
@@UNHchabo tks for the answer. Yeah, thats what I" ve done. The 30 min extended highlights. But its a shame you cant watch it live on a regular base, like F1 on dazn.
Cheers.
What about the broadcasters trolling all of Palou fans by repeating an old Grosjean replay?
I tried to watch Indy based on your recommendation, but I just couldn't get through it. Constant ad breaks, annoying commentators who sound like they're commentating an NFL game (and read even more ads), and honestly not even that much action. And the TV direction was somehow even worse than F1, and replays have nothing indicating that they're replays other than the commentators saying so.
F2 honestly had more wheel to wheel action, and a much more watchable presentation.
Car, yes.
What about Moto GP? It's the most exciting Grand prix series.
Could you say a little more about Scott Dixon next time please
This is how street races are. F1 or Indy Car , there isn't a lot of lead changing.
There's generally a lot more in IndyCar than what we got for this race.
You should do MotoGP. Could be fun.
It was a good race at St. Pete, Grosjean still can’t get out of a collision tho 😂😂
Crowd seemed down significantly from previous years !
It's a toss-up of whether the teams like the format they used for Practice 1, but it was definitely better as a viewing experience. So many Practice 1 sessions last year started with half an hour of teams sitting on pit lane waiting for the rookies to lay down some rubber before they went out. Then you'd have everyone rush out in the last 10 minutes and try to get a clean lap, but the track was so congested that everyone would stack up just before the Alt Start/Finish line, and nobody would *actually* get a clean lap. As a viewer, most Practice 1s last year were boring, this was way better.
Okay FINE … I’ll get into Indy car
I wonder.
IndyCar is running a new chassis this year. The aeroscreen is now integrated to the chassis rather than be bolted on, there have been other weight reductions done through-out the chassis and there is now room for the hybrid engine slatted to be installed mid-season. All well and good.
However, remembering how past chassis updates have went, I seem to recall a problem. Generally, the top-tier teams refresh their chassis' every year or two, resulting in spares. Spares that that can be used as replacements, or spares that can be sold to... not top-tier teams. Meaning after a few years every team has all they need and the cost of buying a used chassis is low.
I'm worried that this race is indicative of most of the races this coming season. Boring, as teams and drivers are careful not to destroy their cars in a wreck. Not to say that we won't see some incidents on track, but overall I fear that the drivers will not be as aggressive as in past seasons.
Chassis is still based on the dw12. Very old chassis
The aeroscreen is still bolted on, but it's also 3D printed Titanium to save weight. Has nothing to do with that.
Alright, FINE! Ill try to watch Indycar, but by the gods I'm not paying for it.
former nascar winner colin braun
NAH the first 45 seconds of the video are mad LMFAO
After watching your Indy videos from last season I gave the race this morning a try. Then missed a ton of action while they showed F***ing commercials! F That! Not watching again… so I’m gonna have to rely on you to cover Indy for me.
Indycar's youtube channel has 30-minute highlight videos, which I think works pretty well to show all the relevant footage.
