Thanks for stopping by and checking out my review of the 2019 JCW Countryman! Such a fun car! But this MINI isn't the last car I'm reviewing for this year... Any guesses what my last review will be??
best car ever, i own a 2014 countryman JCW all4 and that car drives likes is on rails. Some night i just drive it just for the thrills it feels awesome to drive a mini.
might i say my wife and i were in a head on wreak at 45 miles per hr 2019 mini cooper awd bruises and broken elbow. we walked away I am amazed my wife and i are alive I do give Mini's engineering a lot of credit fireman an police officer were amazed we survived as well we bought another I feel safe to have my wife in a 2019 Mini Countryman
Paul M Reliability is no longer a concern. He had the previous generation. The F-series-based MINIs have all massively improved in reliability, surpassing Honda! The Countryman is the most reliable MINI model, according to CR. 20,000 miles on mine, and zero mechanical issues so far, and zero squeaks or rattles.
I’ve had my CM since 2012 with not one single issue. Would say that routine maintenance is expensive is what you’d expect from BMW. Handling and city maneuverability, efficiency, are the strong points of these cars / SUV’s. And yes, I found myself wanting the 2 door Mini Cooper 3 cylinder.
A really great review -- thank you! I'll look forward to your future review of the just-announced 2020 JCW Countryman with 301 hp/331 lb-ft torque. And yes, "Gary" sounds right for the "fish" symbol.
Spot on review .Agree with the reviewer about the car putting a smile on your face every time you get in! North of 45 K without a power tailgate seems a bit steep to me. How is it in on wet surfaces?
I have to say it’s a great review..I own this exact vehicle and some of the things you mentioned seemed like you are more an owner than a reviewer who drove the car for a few days. The driving experience you described was really very accurate..It is a lovely car to drive but the sounds it creates inside the cabin seem artificial ..more like its coming from the Active Sound System even in eco mode..
... I rather have this than an X1 or X2; same engine but at a 'discount'; however, I'm not in the market for a US$37k+ vehicle. The cool part is, I can get a countryman w/3 pedals. I like it, just not in the market for 1.
are MINIs still at the bottom of reliability surveys? Their really poor resale value is due to the reputation they have for not being made well and a reputation for mechanical breakdowns.
Looks like the 18" winter wheel/tyre set.. Not a fan of the tyres in the snow.. And it drives much better on the 19" but they are uglier.. Win some lose some
@@Gemini530 Can you articulate why you think I"m "a toddler", and what you find "juvenile" -- then give an example of what you find as "adult". Just throwing names around doesn't do much
mbtbd ... Only if you can articulate why you think I have erectile dysfunction. Funny that when the tables are turned, you now react to calling names or offensive assumptions. So juvenile.
@@Gemini530 You said the mini interior was "juveniles" so I thought maybe you are really old. Did not, however say you are have an "erectile dysfunction" -- but given it was on your mind, perhaps you do? So old....and still you can't say what is not "Juvenile".
Yes, my 2011 is a nightmare! I’m on my 4th High-pressure fuel pump and my third turbo, and 2nd trip for thermostat. At 135k that is insane, luckily Mini increased the warranty on both the fuel pump and and turbo but that by itself says a lot. It is absolutely great car to drive but reliability is not good at this price point. The interior on these newer models are beautiful.
@@calivalley9056 I agree, I just traded in my 2012 countryman in October. I had two water pump replacement, first one was at like 25k miles. Had replace all coolant hoses, 2 thermostats, 1 o2 sensor. Once my maintenance package ended I had to trade it. I have a 2018 countryman now. It is a completely countryman is every way!. With all the problems I loved my 2012, but i love love love my 2018!
Fastest JCW ever - so do you even know what you talk about? 98% of drivers would rarely if ever use most of the power -- so the "too slow" is in your digital life of fiction only. Overpriced compared to what?

I hope it’ll be the hybrid
The 2020 model JCW sports 301 horse power! Took it for a test drive and it rocked. Currently drive a Cooper S 2-door.
The countryman is probably the most driver focused cross over. The handling is probably the best part. Good review!
Thanks for the comment!

I like his height. And I love the car -- simply the best crossover you can buy -- just bought one after trading in my Clubman S All4.
Great review. Loved the Mini JCW Countryman. Looks really good on the snow and road!
Wow. That was such a detailed and informative review. Great job, brilliant car.
Really good looking vehicle, my concern is reliability. A friend had nothing but trouble with a 2015 mini. Just lease and enjoy for period of lease.

Absolutely no complaints with snow/wet surfaces. This MINI was running the runflat winter tires

There are some news of a new 300hp countryman. Hope you can get to review it when it is released
As do I!
Nyana11 Still waiting for that one.
Great video/review.
"The hooliganism of the JCW...." I was "Sold" at that line!😁
Good review. 👍
Nice review...please review the 306bhp 2020 model
How does it handle in the snow with all4?

Very good at Speaking. Great verbalization skills. I thought this JC Works would be around $50K US. Only $37K?
You’ve become one of my FAVORITE Car reviewers to watch on RUclips. Sorry, that I was Skeptical at first.
@@gene978 I was too
Where did you film this? The scenery is very nice.
All shot in the bow valley
Do they cars still break down and are reliable?
Hi, thanks for video. I'm watching you from Ukraine, god job.
Thanks for watching!
- Hi - Thank You So Much ...
How does this perform in snow/rain? Thanks. Great review.
Had no issues with traction during my time with the MINI, this had the Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 RFT* 225/50R18 95H runflat winters tires
I dread to think how much this costs! Me want!
What about its average??
nice!!! albertan eh? lol i see the three sisters behind you
Indeed!!

What tyres was on the jcw?
Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 RFT 225/50R18 95H
Wanted to get rid of runflats!!, not sure what to do for spare.

The back seat is very roomy for me, but in your video, it looks very tight, perhaps you are a very tall guy.
642 American for trunk shelf cover uhhhhh nope
La mia bimba la amo
È prodotta ancora

0:28 SECONDS. gosh look at that plastic flexing.
Not interested. The controls looks way too confusing and complicated.
The moment I saw the interior, it’s automatically a “no” for me. It’s a little too juvenile for my taste.
Not sure what that means. No viagra compartment?
mbtbd ....It means this car is for toddlers like you.

The 4 of the All4 stills black as it shoud be fucking RED, what a pity fo this new model ! :-(
One huge problem RELIABILITY Mini needs to fix that huge factor!

Overpriced, built-quality subpar, and way-too slow for a vehicle with a JCW badge- whatever. 👎
