Hi friends! Here are my thoughts on the Vogue Pattern Spring 2023 Collection! Have you seen these patterns yet? If not, you can visit the website. Check out the Spring 2023 Vogue Collection Here: somethingdelightful.com/vogue-patterns/new-sewing-patterns/spring/
Interesting..we have pretty much the same taste. Some of the styles have a lot of fabric involved. Like you said the fabric choice is key. Thanks for the informative video. 😊
I actually like some of the spring collections. The first two patterns were definitely Zimmerman inspired, which I'm going to get. I really like the off the shoulder suiting, which is Alexander McQueen vibe . The really long shirt dress is Valentino , Vogue v1944 two pieces set is Jaquemues vibes . 😁 I noticed that since Vogue can not obtain licenses from the higher end designers, like in the past, they have been watching the fashion show from them to get really close. I am here for it. I'm here for it .
Nice review, Tea. All of Bettina’s patterns are sized like this. Her patterns actually have less ease than the other patterns and are pretty true to size. Vogue 1935 had me confused, maybe a solid color😊
I like the Vogue 1934 dress, but I think I have an older pattern with a similar midriff design from Vogue. I love the asymmetrical skirt in Vogue 1941. It would look cute in an Ankara print. You definitely made look at the Vogue 1937 pattern more closely. Both the top and dress will be great in a pretty print as we transition into summer. I might even consider the off-shoulder suit top. I’d hack it into a dress maybe 🤔. Totally not feeling the 1940 top. Looks to maternity to me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😊
I think the asymmetrical skirt is cute. I've seen a few response videos, and ppl don't like it. I like how the sewing community is different and yet the same. So many creative ppl and idea
allo sewists! i am looking at v1935 for a late summer wedding, but woah...it clocks in at 10 yards that must be at least 60" wide? anyone know what's eating THAT much fabric? in canadian dollars, the fabric on spoonflower came in at $340. plus lining etc...so i am a little confused (and worried that the draping across the bodice is not going to be especially d cup friendly.) i am an advanced dressmaker, but i don't really want to invest in 10 meters of muslin even before the actual purchases!
That suit jacket without the shoulders was really daring. I could absolutely see this in a cream or winter white on a celebrity in L.A. On me? Not so much. I don't know where I would even wear that. Some of the tops looked too little girly with all the huge ruffles on one and too much lace on another. The modest cropped top with the voluminous sleeves, I can get behind that one. That was pretty and had a little peep of skin, but still kept it to a tiny sliver so it's more like a secret and not in your face. I'm at the age where crop tops don't feel appropriate, so that one appeals. Still modern, but not extra.

T....love your neutral eye shadows on you. Very pretty!
Thank you! ❤️ I've been trying to dabble in eyeshadow looka lately
Great honest review. Thanks
Thanks for watching!

Thank you! ❤️
Thanks for sharing. I am not too crazy about these patterns. I am also trying to look beyond the patterns.
😆 I know sometimes it is hard. I will most likely redraft the ones I like to fit my own style
Another great vid! Thank you for your content. V1941 and 1933 are definitely a make !
You're welcome!
Ooooh. I love the first dress and the Julio Cesar dress. But then I like asymmetrical skirts. It could be lovely or go horribly wrong.
I think it is lovely too. 😍
Thank you❤. I think you will make a beautiful dress. Thank you for choosing my pattern.

I noticed that they don't have as many designers as they used to. I didn't realize that it was due to licensing. Thanks for sharing
Would like to have seen line drawings, especially dresses.
I tried to add them, and I usually do. But the images got flagged, and I had to remove them

Yes, I think the letter sizing is weird. But she does have some great designs

Wow! 10 yards??? That is a lot of fabric. The skirt has a godet style. That could be why you need so much fabric.

I’m with you, but I think when I was younger I might have liked it.
Not a big fan of the new patterns from any of the spring collections. I'm hoping for some good Butterick patterns soon.
Butterick patterns should have a release soon. Vogue tends to cater to fashion trends. Butterick is more for the everyday rtw looks
Its OK not to like a pattern , I don't like cow neck clothing
Agreed!
