We had an D8 guy stump for a Washington 118 come loose, roll down the hill, off the cut bank and right on to the yarder. I was cutting there. When they finally got that yarder up and running again, we had a BIG lead! Yikes kind of expensive.
I talk to him every once in a while. He has been spending a lot of time down in Florida with family, and still runs a lawn care business in Eugene area. I don’t think he has worked in the woods for about two years.
yeah it is being welded up today and tomorrow actually. id imagine you know how it go's when it is broke and can't get someone out right away to work on it, try and make it work until it can be fixed properly
Just love the sound of d9g spooling up that turbo an that unique clatterpillar sound!
looks like it's dug in pretty good. What happened to the front of the ROPS and the hood of the "9"?
Had a little problem and rolled over at one point
We used a TD-20 to tail hold and every time the hook went to change roads he couldn’t figure out why it was running.
😂
Umm, I can't figure out either. ???
Yup, look like cat got roll or got thump on head.this old iron still strong here Canada most west coast logging.thanks video😊
Thanks for watching . It was flipped over , thankfully the only casualty was the track frame
Man that G series was a beast !
What are you doing?
dozer is used for holding a line back for logging. Have to bury the blade and ripper so the weight of the line and it’s load doesn’t drag the dozer
@@DanielBoonesloggingvideosso you can t use the dozer for something else
He will push roads with it and use it as a mobile tailhold or guyline stump as well
A d9! That’s a big yellow stump!!! When I worked under a ty90 we always had a d8 with us and I don’t ever remember moving it.

Ugh what a mess
Buy the looks of that dozer , it's had something big laid across the hood / cab several times , don't get your coconut cracked !
Yeah it’s had some bumps and bruises .
Accidentally deleted my comment, do you ever run into Alex Esgate? I suppose he no longer logs?

Ok cool. Thanks for the reply.
@@DanielBoonesloggingvideos I wonder about Alex now and then. I'm glad to hear he's OK.
Fun times!
First of all, Learn how to operate the damn thing!
You better look at that track frame on the right side, typical BS maintenance for a cheapskate logging group!!!

Another logger that eiltl answer "what" when his Grand Kids ask, tell me about logging.
No hearing protection.
Haha
