This Big Boy can knock down a tree that lesser machines can only think about! Love the big old dozers. Needed a shot of ether at first crank. Operator is going slow to take care of the old guy, doesn't want a $30,000 repair! LOL.
Still reminds me of the open pit coal mine we had behind the house back in the dsy. After school I would go to the backyard and watch them work. Of course, if anything broke down,my dad would be out there to fix it.
Yes but the Killdozer, ( the movie in 1974, not Marvin Heemeyer) was a D9G, but unknown build date, since Caterpillar Inc produced them in 1961-1974, but the closest model build date that i know is 1965 CAT D9G,
Yes my thoughts, but original killdozer was a D8 even though they called a D9er in the film , I did a little reaserch on the film , love to know where it is nowadays,👍😉
It looks like this operator is afraid of this machine!! He needs to open the throttle up so this machine can perform!! The rain cap is hardly opened which means the the throttle is only partially open!!
Don't think he really needs to run it wide open. Has plenty of power for this job. Probably doesn't want to have to lose his pile of trees he's pushing and waste time plus he's letting the dirt fall out as he's pushing also.
Sorry Guys.. this operator doesnt make this machine produce running it at partial throttle!!! Either he ia afraid of this machine as I said previously or he doesnt know what he's doing!!! Wouldnt make it on one of my jobs !!!
I love the way y'all keep this old iron working!!!!!!
These videos of ancient machines are great to watch. Nice to see them still strong!
Glad you like them!
I wouldn't call a 9G "ancient". I have my eye on a 1937 D8. I guess that could be classified as ancient Lol.
@@kirkpalmer1709 I guess it's just ancient to me then.

what's the story behind all this older gear?
Hell Yeah good old D9
Another day playing with the D9G.
What a beast!
It must be sick or something - a good one pops right off, hits on all cylinders and doesn't smoke near that much.
Esse trator esteira e muito bruto💪🏻💪🏻
Работал на таком в 2001 году в Якутии.
Why do you just run that 9 at low idle when pushing?

Or just a regular D9 with dual air intakes.

Sabian que hay un video donde Osama Bin Laden esta operando un D9 G haciendo una esplanada
by the sound of it, way under powered. hungry for fuel.
