I called the manufacturer about it before I bought it. They make most of the engine stuff for many other companys, including Honda. Go figure. It is said to be a hell of a machine. I just bought mine with double handles with fuel control in the handle. It also comes with a brush blade set up. I paid $179.99 U.S. at Tractor Supply. GTBCU4QL-M model #
crazyjdkid I hear you! I had a honda 4 cycle trimmer a couple years ago (wasn't making videos then) and it was great! I ended up selling it though for something else
Bought this 4 years ago and its been nothing but a pain. Entire cheap plastic choke broke so now the choke is my finger. Then the spool assembly broke. Then the carb setting screw loosened from its fixed position, and finally the pull cord just snapped. There are no parts diagrams anywhere. I am gentle on all my I C engines but this ones been the worst. Staff are great though, you will be calling them unfortunately
You want to run an engine hard right off the bat. The rings will seat into the cylinder better due to the sharper crosshatching on the cylinder wall. As long as everything is machined right and the clearances are right, you won't have any problems. And if they're not right, running it easy to start with isn't going to fix the problem. The only break in is the rings to the cylinder wall and that needs to be done right at the beginning and as hard as you can go at it. You want the higher cylinder pressure to force the rings into the cylinder wall.
My cheap electric trimmer broke down, so want to get a gas one instead. This seems reasonably priced. I wonder though: my old trimmer would switch between horizontal mow and vertical mow, and even had a little wheel on the shield, so you could trim a perfect edge, with a vertically cutting string. Is this at all possible with gas powered trimmers as well? Thanks!
Bram Stolk As for the wheel I've never seen it on gas trimmers but the engine on this machine can be turned 360 degrees. also the shaft is able to be turned to a 90* position
Thank you man. They have one on sale for 99.00 Sept 24,2024. I will buy one. I have one that i have to mix gas and oil in it. I am getting tired of doing that. Time for a chance.
I WANT TO SEE SOME SERIOUS YT VIDEOS OF SOME SERIOUS HAND TOOL REVIEWS!!!! ESP DRILLS! AND THEY HAVE AN AWESOME OFF GRID COFFEE MAKER THAT USED THEIR BATTERIES! JUST POP UR BATT ON THE SIDE AND MAKE COFFEE WHILE OFF GRID OR ON THE JOB SITE ETC... I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEE THEIR COLORS!!!! BLUE IS HANDS DN MY FAV!!! AND THEY PICKED THE PERFECT BLUE!!! I AM PLANNING ON SANDING AND REPAINTING MY TRUCK!? AND THIS IS THE BLUE I WANT TO PAINT MY TRUCK!! BEST LOOKING TOOLS ON THE ENTIRE MARKET!!!! I PLAN ON GETTING THEIR PT ESP LIKE IMPACT DRILL...ETC...WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THEY CARRY SMALL SAWS!? I KNOW THEY HAVE GRINDERS! ETC..... MOWERS....I MEAN THEY HAVE A NICE LINE AND SUPPOSED TO BE CARRIED BY TSC!!! BUT ID LOVEEE TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE IS CARRYING THEIR PRODUCTS! I WANTTT PT REVIEWS!!!
Funny thing is, the Senix Co, actually makes all the Honda stuff. I spoke to people at great length about it! Amazing, I paid $179.99 for mine with a brush blade set up with the string cutter also. I'm in the U.S.
Its a miracle if mine will start. Then if it does start it will die. I have changed the spark plug and adjusted idler screw. Definitely recommend spending a little more for a known brand. I will never buy another senix product.
It doesn't matter how much you spend. When they start and then stop, it is usually the valves are out. They should be betweent 3,000-6,000ths which most manufacturers recommend you check after 10 or so hours. Try checking the valves for all manufacturers. Senix manufactures for many companies including Honda, no Shit, for real.
@@mikemakuch2824 bought a stihl. Starts on first pull every time. If the valves were out it was that out of the box. It was a piece of junk. Should've returned the senix but struggled with it until I couldn't return it. Passed return period. Happy with my stihl.
Dave B I have a Makita trimmer aswell. but mine's 2 cycle. I have not used any of the 4 cycle Makita machines. I am not a big 4cycle fan my self. This trimmer does good. But if you are referring to the EM2650 from makita. I fail to see the similarities.
Looks similar to the Makita 4 stroke 26cc unit sold in the USA, same color too, this is no accident. I own the Domlar version of the trimmer and it's great, it's a 4 cycle.
I've had one for a while now and wouldn't trade it for anything. BTW Senix manufactures many engines and parts, including Honda. You maybe doing something wrong.
A) The pivot feature wasn't shown in use B) the strap wasn't use for testing C) the exact weight wasn't mentioned D) the exact model name wasn't posted E) this machine wasn't compared to their curved edition. I cannot find this exact color on their website. It hard to rate this as a good video. Senix has issues with their web site, there is no 4 stroke chainsaw there. This color scheme that is so attractive no longer seems available. This manufacturer has no stable and consistent color scheme structure. Makita stays with their attractive blue green. This manufacturer, it is a guessing game what they will do next. There is no way to have a consistent color formation of a collection of tools. This manufacturer isn't serious about making commercial tools. Their 4 stroke machines seems like a secondary priority to their battery powered offerings.
12.6 lbs. has a strap harness, look at the beginning of video for model # GTS4QLM2-31cc, Manufactured by Senix corp. which BTW manufactures for many others including Honda, go figure, pivot is at connection point. I had a troy bilt and it was manufactured by MTD we all all know about them.
This is the one I picked up. I didn’t even watch the review before I purchased it. But I looked at reviews online before I made my decision.
this helped me make my choice in 2024 thanks bro dope video.
How do you replace the trimmer line?
Your unit started so nicely. I have a brand new unit and can't get it started at all!
Joey Mathew use the choke
Always check spark plug gap on new items and make sure it's right.
There's a 31cc version of this machine, do you think it'll be a good commercial unit? Are spare parts easily available for it? Is it reliable?
These are not commercial. Mtd should have parts and its seams to be a hit and miss with reliability with these

How much does it weight and how often do you need to add oil, please? Thank you
Do I need to hold down only the top yellow button on the top when i start it or do i have to press the trigger and the top at the same time?
I think that craftsman has this same trimmer under their name. It looks the exact same with the 4ql branding just red.
I've got a Honda GX25 powered Husqvarna trimmer 224L. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Great unit.
crazyjdkid I hear you! I had a honda 4 cycle trimmer a couple years ago (wasn't making videos then) and it was great! I ended up selling it though for something else
Hey how is the machine holding up? Still working?

This will as it has the connection that you can turn it and go.
Split shaft is a nice feature
motoforlyfe Thanks for stopping by buddy!
is it a bump feed Head?
Correct
Great review! Is that machine considered a commercial, or homeowner unit? I'm guessing it's a homeowner unit right?
Chivos adventures This trimmer is considered a homeowner unit. Thanks for the comment!
either or. it comes with a 3 year homeowners warranty

Every gearbox gets hot... Even on stihl....
My echo only gets warm never hot
Price?
129$ at Atwood's
I bought my last one for $179.99 with the brush cutter set up + the string cutter, split shaft with the blade and all. I'm in the U.S.
why would you put a weedeater in a BMW at that point just put a trailer hitch on the back and hook you up a trailer to it
Idk I’ve done it before.
My mom would haul gas and weedeaters in her 06 325i lol
Horizontal not vertical
Yeah mine i use a strap
thats looks like a decent honda trimmer clone

Looks like a knock off Makita 4 stroke trimmer, you get what you pay for,,,,good review though

The Canadian version might be a little different. I'm not saying they are identical, but a lot of similarities
