    Good to see Hartnett back, Nolan might have just given his carrier a big boost, hoping to see more of him in the future, especially in Oppenheimer!

    • @mgariepy42
      @mgariepy42 Год назад +19

      His career (he left the carrier behind in Pearl Harbor😆) has been long-lived and stable, doing what he decided he wanted to do after the “Hollywood treatment,” heartthrob and hunk with paparazzi all over him. He went home to recuperate and then started doing low profile indie and niche films. Except for the now and then studio pix (most of which did not draw audiences, Hollywood Homicide w/Harrison Ford, Black Dahlia w/Scarlett J), he stayed in the indie world. Lucky Number Slevin was a box office hit that’s become a cult fav. He’s done small budget films for foreign directors he likes. He’s done directing and producing. Though he says he burned a lot of bridges by turning down mega roles (Nolan’s Batman, Superman and Spider-Man, not to mention Brokeback Mountain!) and upsetting studios who sought to cash in on his star status, he’s maintained good relationships with directors and other actors. He picks roles that interest him. Penny Dreadful, Black Mirror. Nolan wanted him in Oppenheimer and that’s why we see him in a blockbuster again. This role is not a “comeback!” He never left film making, he left the Hollywood. He’s worth more than $25 million dollars, lives in England (his wife’s English) and US, and has 3 kids, a happy family man. I’ve been a fan of his for 20 years 😊

      @@mgariepy42took acting classes with Tom Todoroff back in 2012 and go upset against that man when he bad-mouthed about Josh Harnett during a class of about 40 attendees and public…. he said that Josh is untalented and just model material. What a jerk that Tom. That really pissed me off.

    He never left acting, he left Hollywood studios! He’s done tons of independent films with directors from all over the world, just like he wanted to do. Now and then he pops up, Penny Dreadful cable series 2014-2016, This year The Fear Index a British tv series, Black Mirror S6, and Oppenheimer. Now that he has kids, he says he’s been taking on small films with shorter shooting schedules so he can be home with them more. Awwwwww.😊

    Fun fact.
    The "missed opportunity early on in his career to work with Chris Nolan" was Batman. Christopher Nolan wanted Josh Hartnett to Be batman in the Dark Knight trilogy. But Josh turned it down

    • @rokaanalzeer7148
      @rokaanalzeer7148 Год назад +11

      Yeah it was due to at the time signing on for a trilogy of comic book films was seen as super risky. And for hartnett he had come off of doing big budget fare like Pearl Harbor where he had a horrible time making it. Nolan said in a recent podcast that hartnett was also more interested in the prestige but it didn’t work out.
