In the 50s as a young lad my mam used to take me to Denbys? Woollen mill = I can still remember the noise, smells and the large wheeled wicker baskets! Thank you so much for your great work. Lovely to see my old home town - I have lived in NZ for over 60 years now and my children and I love your videos! Keep up the good work! Geoff Pickering.
Yes a very interesting and informative piece of filming good historical history information formats i will look forward too seeing more videos in the future !
Another fascinating video - Thanks Johnathan. I worked at Paragon Mills in Dalton Lane briefly in the early 90's cleaning raw wool (straight off the sheep's back!) Mucky job and hard work but the architecture of the place was something to behold and, oddly enough, I miss those days. I gather it burned down a short while ago which I was very saddened to hear about. Keep them coming Mr Wood 🙂
Interesting thanks sharing 👍

Thanks for this investing video. I have ancestors who worked in these mills. Great to see they are still standing and to hear some of their history.
Glad you enjoyed it cheers
Interesting stuff! Keep them coming please.
Hi Jonathan, great video that brings back memories of my late Grandads best mates (Maurice Rees) woollen Mill called Coney Lane
