Nice return to your 'typical' well thought out, beautiful video and narration. You took the words out of my mouth when you handed Jim his sandwich and Ember said, Where's mine?? I just love these out of the way places you guys find to boondock! I am afraid I am the type that would stray a little farther in the woods and would like to carry my 12 gauge without the stock, just pistol grip so it will not catch on brush and rock, plus I can swing it around faster if needed. Just wondering if you might know (anything) about the rules on a pistol grip in Alaska & Canada? Thanks
Hi John, in Alaska it is perfectly legal. In Canada I don’t think you can have a modified shotgun of any sort though. They are very picky about what weapons they allow across the border. There is a paperwork process that you have to go through just to have a firearm there. If or when we permanently leave Alaska we will do a dealer to dealer transfer to pick up our firearms in the lower 48.
Alexandria VA here. east coast hustle and bustle meets Alaskan chillaxin. i have fallen for this simple meaningful life you are crafting. lovely intro to RVing. done right. also watching Time Travelers Wife - how do you get the internet in such remote locations? been wondering why doe Ember never bark? i would be taking my puppy with me but she is a barkaholic. what's your trick ?
Internet depends. Sometimes we can still get a cell signal to run a hot spot while remote but often times we will just download a few shows while we are in town and watch them before bed if we feel like it. Ember barks to alert us, whether it’s people approaching the van or animals. Other than that she is pretty quiet.
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Yes, sadly it will. Just hang on there, wait for the midterms elections and vote Rep. otherwise this county will be lost forever. But changing the subject. Hello Micaela!
What a nice relaxing video. Even gray rainy days have their beauty :). Nice roast meal :) One question? What did you think of the bottle I sent? I don’t recall seeing it. …i could have missed it. Have a super great week. :) love to you, Jim, and ember. Live confidently and peacefully
We haven’t cracked it yet John. We are waiting till the perfect moment because that is special to us. Have a wonderful week!

Whats the most miles you've seen on a revel?
Some of the original 2018 model year owners have 100k to 150k on their vans so far.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you Yaya

@@WingsandWheelsAlaska always enjoy seeing new destinations with views like no other place, 😊
Everything was stable under Trump. Now this, $5+ for a gallon. Good luck guys !
Getting worse by the day…
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Yes, sadly it will. Just hang on there, wait for the midterms elections and vote Rep. otherwise this county will be lost forever. But changing the subject. I’ve been following you guys since the beginning, your videos are inspiring us to make some huge steps. We just ordered a new camper. It’s an Adria Twin Plus 600. A 6 meter campervan, we’ll have to wait until feb. 2023 to receive it. A brand new one. Check it out…. My wife is retiring next year so we’ll rent out out apartment and go for a n European roadtrip if everything goes as planned. Meanwhile, stay safe and good travels. We’ll keep you informed. :-) cheers from Belgium.
BTW, since you use a blade grinder, thought you might enjoy this video from James Hoffman: ruclips.net/video/3y7d-5KWHCU/видео.html
Thank you John. We will take a look!
Was there any need for the flag on the side of the van ? Because of the stupidity of displaying that because obviously it does not represent democracy and we all know those Unelected who have the most money really run things I think I'm going to have to unsubscribe
Goodbye Craig. I proudly serve my country and will proudly fly our flag.
Imagine that, another RUclips wack job.
