I grew up around Boston in that era. My Dad commuted into North Station 6 days a week on Budd cars. My Grandfather was a conductor on one line serving Boston and a cousin was an engineer (engine driver) in Western Massachusetts/Greenfield yard (if I remember correctly). This layout brought me back in time. Thanks.
Magnificent.....and much admired by me in the UK. I have to admit I am a fan of the styling of the Budd railcoaches. A reminder of happier and more carefree times!
nice video. The builder really has gathered what he likes about american railroads, with a warm and positiv feeling like the paintings of the famous illustrator Norman Rockwell. I like that. The nicest layouts are those that are not a copy of the real thing, but more the memories that the builder has. Thanks !
I appreciate your view, but I hope that you will have a chance to see the work of Pelle Soeborg. Pretty close to representing what is actually here with the unavoidable compression. It looks fantastic. Things aren't crowded in.
La mejor maqueta realizada ... no es de extrañar que provenga de EEUU !!!! Que país desarrollado donde los proyectos parecen tener una calidad perdurable. Felicitraciones por compartirnos este material. Oscar desde Buenos Aires, Argentina
Stunning! Where on earth did he find: a Greyhound Bus, a Nash Rambler and an Edsel? Also love the rust on the bridge and the silver paint on the signal controls. Just fantastic!
This is museum quality railroad modelling at its very best. As a Brit who models American Railroads I'm totally impressed by the quality of this model and a tad jealous!!!!
Great video and a beautiful layout. I would love to have a shot that shows the whole layout. After all those nice scenes I'm having real trouble trying to visualize how the whole thing lays out. Which would be nice because it is such a beautiful set-up. And again great video work as always.

We never would have seen Santa Fe so far east, though.
Beautiful layout and detail. Especially appreciate the attention to "scale speed", seen so many layouts where the SD-40s are running at 200 MPH scale.
Gerrit Schoenmaker's attention to detail is brilliant...
So happy to see an American display in the Netherlands done by Gerrit Schoenmaker'. And to be popular. Nicely done Gerrit !

Not sure about the others, but I think the greyhound bus is from a company called Iconic Replicas.
@@BubblyToast…..actually the Greyhound is from Mini Metals
The Edsel is from Oxford models, I have one also and it's a fantastic model.
Wunderschöne Modellbahn-Anlage!

Outstanding layout! Very realistic.

Superbe vidéo ! Tous les détails, la mise en scène, c'est d'un réalisme fou ! Bravo !!!

Where did you get the working crossing from
Lovely layout.😊
🤗👍👌
Hi what the cars running on your layout?
Should also add great video😊😊
Great scenery and signals. But there's too much background talk. The trains could have been better. And that Santa Fe didn't fit in at all
👍👍👍👍👍
Now it needs some cats
👍😊👏
Very nice modeling but too much chatter in the background.
🥰
Anyone interested in a foot locker full of HO scale slot car track. I've got all kinds of pieces.
