    I think it may be a pizelle maker...a kind of fried dough sweet treat dusted with sugar.

    I would guess that the last item is a meat tenderizer made of brass but it's hard to judge size and weight without something to compare it to.

      Size comparison is a bit of a pain at times, but a handle is a handle, and meat tenderizer makes sense to me.

      That's the name! In my country is "beef hammer".

    The last item is a Swedish rosette fried cookie mold. You dip it in the batter and dip it into the oil. And let it cook til crunchy. They come in snowflake shapes that you sprinkle powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar on as it comes out of the oils. This one makes a small cup shapes that you put fruit and a little cream. It’s the perfect little tea offering, or snack. When my girls were little I’d make these and we’d have a tea for lunch.

    Last one could be a leather stamp or perhaps a cookie iron like the ones for pizzelle cookies.

      That seems like a good guess, that it's some kind of tool for pressing a design into something. It seems incomplete somehow. Whatever it is, I think they overpaid! Must have been from Goodwill or Salvation Army. They put stoopid high prices on things. I've see items at those places priced at $5 that came from Dollar Tree.

      That was my initial guess. It's not hollow, though, and the handle isn't offset.

    I knew half of the answer to 4 objects and pretty sure the last one is a "meat hammer" or "beef hammer", as it is called in my country. It's used to beat slices of meat to make it softer in impregnate it with the seasonings. I have an old one made of wood, quite big, and in mom's home there's like 3 or 4. She still use it.

    Omg. Finding an MG 42 like the one at 6:22 in Britain is rare. Especially if it's not decommissioned. It is also illegal if it is a working one 😁.

    I do believe the mystery item is for making a type of fried cookie. It’s dipped in the batter then put into the oil till the cookie releases. The cookie continues to fry and the item goes back to be redipped.

    I knew the machine gun barrel cover (didn't know country of origin though) and the pestle because I have the same one with the original mortar. They were common in old apothecary shops when medicines were compounded and mixed by a pharmacist. I use mine for grinding herbs. I should have known the latch for the Victorian photo album because I used to have a beautiful old velvet album like that one shown. I sold it over 20 years ago on eBay, but I didn't get $100 for it, unfortunately!
    What that last thing is, is overpriced! Dont know it's use but I think it's missing something because the center hole doesn't make sense unless something goes with it.

    Possession of that MG42 in the UK means a minimum of 5 years in prison.

      It looks like its just the barrel. If I recall correctly they had to change it out if the gun overheated. If the gun was complete it would be obvious what it was.

    • @fishbiscuit2000
      @fishbiscuit2000 3 месяца назад +1

      @@ericpode6095 It actually appears to be the barrel, including the barrel shroud and bipod, as well as the belt feed machanism. The barrel is inside the shroud and was changed via a very clever quick change mechanism that involved opening a gate at the rear of the barrel shroud on the right (hidden in this picture) and simply sliding the barrel out and sliding a replacement in. The barrel could be changed in around ten seconds.
      Unfortunately for the owner - this counts as a "relevant component part of a firearm in UK law as it has the barrel as well as the chamber and the feed mechanism and will attract a compulsory 5 year sentence if they don't immediately get in touch with the police to say what they've found.

    • @Flapjackbatter
      @Flapjackbatter 3 месяца назад +2

      Yes. But it looks to me like the barrel is missing. I might be wrong. But I can see the wall through the barrel shroud. So it looks empty in there.
      Altso it looks like it is missing the butstock. Again I'm just guessing. But it seems it would have had to be taller if it had the stock.
      Even so, maybee he/she will have to give up the gun. Depending on local laws.

      Either the image is deliberately misleading, or it is not complete. It is hard to tell, but it looks like it was chopped in at least two pieces, with the piece that we see ending just after the folding leaf sight.
