Dan goes to the first day of the New York City Toy Fair 2023. He looks at a bunch of toys and mascots and stuff. Yes. Kenny got a Tooty Toob. It's magical.
Toy Fair looks like so much fun, hope Dan enjoyed it! Qposket has some of the prettiest figures out there and they make a lot of Disney figurines, Dan should definitely look into them!
I was lucky enough to go to Toy Fair back in like, 2017 I think? It's such a cool but also intimidating place. Love to see the upcoming offerings, looking forward to seeing anything you can share from day 2!
Fun fact the Elope company makes some of the hats you can find in Disney world and universal! There’s dinosaur hats for the ride in dak and jaws shark ones for universal
Qposket is super popular in Japan and they have SO many Disney ones it's ridiculous. It's like Funko Pops is over here but tbh I think Qposket look better. As for Furbies they're really popular still with like a niche crowd that makes Furby creations like Long Furby!
So hype for all the new stuff [especially Basic Fun's reboot of Littlest Pet Shop, the new Disney Doorables, and the new Disney Lorcana, hopefully I'll be able to actually get a pack before they all sell out]! And I love seeing all the costume characters and animatronics, it's like an amusement park! My mom is super excited to see the original Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite back, I am too, since she did introduce me to them [I had a Rainbow Brite boat toy when I was little, and my mom bought me the early 2000s Strawberry Shortcake dolls]. But I enjoyed seeing all the ad icon stuff from Funko [and the Ronald Mcdonald astronaut figure], and I hope Funko makes even MORE Ad Icon Merch. I'm personally hoping they make the entire line of 1970s Jack In The Box restaurant characters [70s Jack, Small Fry, Onion Ring Thing, Hamburgermeister, Uncle Trilby, The Shakes, and the girl from the commercials], the California Raisins [ESPECIALLY A.C], Donny & Dottie Domino [Domino's Pizza], and the 1980s Chuck E Cheese characters [they did the 90s/Avenger version, now I'm waiting for PTT era Chuck]. I have always felt like mascots were always underrated; they can be just as interesting as cartoon characters. Jack from Jack In The Box in particular has such a crazy story, and TBH, I actually prefer the 70s version, I like his design better, plus Paul Winchell voiced him. I highly recommend checking out the three comics with records [How A House Makes Noise, Where Oil Comes From, How Pain Helps Us], and three commercials [Baseball, In The Park, Jack In The Box Animated Commercial 1970s], as they are really charming. You can also definitely tell Paul Winchell did the voices, Onion Ring Thing sounds near identical to Tigger! I also recommend checking out the "Jack In The Box Vintage Audio Spots" video on RUclips, as it has one of the catchiest fast food jingles ever [Take Life a Little Easier], and the compilation video of Donny Domino commercials [he and Dottie have really fun designs and voices, and I'm 99.9% sure that Will Vinton, who also did The Noid, also helped create them]. Honestly, I could go on for hours about mascots and how awesome they are.
My dad used to go to the toy fair every year for many years when I was growing up (you might remember maybe) but it is so fun! I still love seeing what is new. I went with him once it's great. The Las Vegas one is crazy too!
I had to replay the Tooty Toob segment to make sure I wasn’t going crazy thinking that I recognized the man showing it off to you. And I was right, I actually know and have worked with him. You’d probably be tickled by some of the more themed-entertainment adjacent work that his studio has done.
I'm so surprised every time I see the stuff Super 7 has. Like straight up my first thought is always "How the heck do they also have THAT license too?"
How can wolverine have scoliosis with Adamantium bones?! Was he finally rusting?! Was it the old Logan Wolverine ?! Boy I hope people with scoliosis are finally feeling seen from this video. To be compared and referenced to wolverine rather then the usual Quasi hunchback reference. Way to step up the magic and humor !!! If ya mention hunchback you have to at least show off those amazing pipes with a verse of “Out There”!! If anyone loves a crooked sense of humor it’s gotta be someone with scoliosis!
Monopoly guy is not Frequently portrayed with a monocle... there were two off prints in the 90s that accidentally featured the monocle, 2 dollar bills from the 90s monopoly junior game, and in the late 80's mid 90's some versions had an income tax chance card where it depicts a monocle flying off his face. Additionally Genx and Millenials misremember this fact due to this joke from ace ventura 2 ruclips.net/video/Cj1wcs7SZj0/видео.htmlsi=N63MYS2rdHIqxqel
I had a furby when I was younger and he would start chattering without batteries. Thought we were going to leave those in the pits of hell where we had tossed them but ok.
BUGS BUNNY!!! 🐰🥕 Now it's time for Dan to do a costume evolution of that wascally wabbit!
PLEASE!!!
Yassss!!
Yes please!!!
When Dan laughs so hard, he whistles 😂
Really hit me hard when you started comparing prices to loungeflys 😂
Toy Fair looks like so much fun, hope Dan enjoyed it!

I really love this video and the longer format

I can see little girls setting up a crash course for their RC carriage with the disney princess having one hell of a ride. 😂
Now this looks like a fun convention to go to!
I wish there was something similar in FL but im glad youre the guy to show us what a great experience and a good time it was you had.
I can't wait to see the Furby video! :D Hope you had fun at the toy fair Dan~!
It looks very well-crafted, but having donkey Pinocchio in a house would make me relive daily the fears I felt watching the Pleasure Island scenes
Great job and great personality.
Happy holidays from
-The Disneyland Neighbor
The marketing guy from Hershey better hook you guys up!! 😂

Disney Princess carriage. Now I can put my Count Dooku in it like there princess he is.

Agreed, Qposket looks incredible!
Why did I laugh at the fact that the remote controlled carriage has a seatbelt.
We need about 23% more Kenny. 😂
I love what you do

I don’t know why but that bugs bunny makes me smile 😃

Anyone else instantly order a Tooty Toob?

Go on…
16:04, they made Dan into a mascot 😂
Every time Dan mentions Wish my mind goes immediately to the awful junk website instead of the movie
i love this video
Toys Are Awesome At The Toy Fair
Surprised he didn't check out the McFarlane Toys Mirrorverse figures.
From a branding stand point it’s already DISNEY Dan so if Hershey starts playing ball it’ll have to feature Kit Kat Kenny right?
25:37 same
I am hoping that Kenny added the "(no Kenny)" to the title since that makes it even funnier.
I did.
I wonder if they’ll mention the long furby fam stuff in the furby video
I'm so surprised every time I see the stuff Super 7 has. Like straight up my first thought is always "How the heck do they also have THAT license too?"
Hi do you have any footage of the hand2mind booth?
Is Dan doing evolution of Spider-man?
ROBIN HOOD MERCH AT 4:12😻🧡💚🤎
