Nice! Thanks for the video. Swags are part of the Aussie culture (Waltzing Matilda etc) and the easiest way to get out camping and still have a pleasant night sleep.
Thanks for showing the differences. After seeing this I'd probably go with the dual over the bandit as you can open the top more to look up at the stars.
I love my Mountain Hatch swag! So easy and so comfortable, I had over 50 nights in it last summer. They're not currently selling them but plan to resume production.
man swags have come a long way. I still have my original one i got given when i was 16. Basically a canvas envelope with a thin bit of foam in it. No poles, no overhead roof, just basically a big canvas sleeping bag. And im 41 now and i have spent hundreds of nights in it :)
Brilliant, love my 23 Zero Dual....I have the 1100. Great to see one on an American channel! Nicely put together video, really enjoyed it. Good luck with the channel, I know how much work it is. Subscribed #996....only 4 more to go! 🇺🇸🇦🇺✌🏻
You have the old poles for it, they have revised the poles and the new ones are awesome, they are stronger reduce sag and allow the swag to stand stronger without pegging the ends, our camping season is about to start so I will be doing a video on them soon.
Trying to figure out if the Bandit is worth the extra $$$. Maybe more headroom and walls more vertical. You say you may buy the Dual, reasons to choose it over Bandit besides $$? Thanks! awesome review
It looks like the Dual would be easier to get in and out of with room to sit down in the swag and swing your legs in versus either crawling into one of the smaller doors on the Bandit or sitting and tucking your knees under your chin to get through the opening.. Am I missing something? .
@@markmay184 Much better than a tent unless the tent is canvas but then there's also the question of cubic air, so unless the tent has a low height like a swag the swag is still warmer. In summer, swag is cooler if you leave the canvas flap open for airflow (just close it once the sun starts to rise to get the extra sleep in). Cheers from OZ.
Good luck, you’ll have around 30” wide and 40”ish long. The TJs just ain’t big enough. I’ve done a few camping trips with mine. Even as a solo camper. I barely had enough room.
Pretty much, how many tents do you know that can be packed away with the mattress and blanket rolled up into one, and takes 5 minutes to pitch and take down?

I love the 3 pole design. I’ve got the 1550 outbreak, but thinking about a 900 bandit for those light weight solo trips.

Cool to see swags start to show up here. A couple years ago there was hardly anything worthwhile. Had to get my Crashpad shipped over from Australia.
We think it’s great too! How do you like the Crashpad?
Good review. FYI, these things are even better on top of a stretcher / cot.
Would you say the bandit is worth the extra $100? (That's the difference here in Australia)
Keen to know that as well…
I've got an ARB Dual Swag. love it. I'm looking for a single, either the crashpad or the 23Zero will be my choice. Thanks for the video.
Great review thanks, everything i need to know to choose.

Which one do you prefer ?

How long did processing and shipping take
Wonder how it would be in cold weather??
As good as, if not better than a tent

Can the poles just be left in the sleeves when rolling the swag up?
Yes. Leave the middle pole section in the sleeve then fold the two outer sections inward. Then....roll it up.
great review mate. Assuming you're in the US. Where did you buy these out of interest?
Thanks! We sell it here at www.Spiritof1876.com
You think 6'4" guy would fit?
I need to measure my cargo area in my TJ

So, all in all, a swag is just a standard tent with a mattress in it

SBS zippers = Chinese. Great zippers, but not as good as YKK zippers (Japanese).
