It is absolutely extraordinary that the live performance of this track from her 2020 album is from 7 years ago. Since there are no other current live versions of the songs from FTBC in existence, we need to treasure this video. We probably won't see Fiona live again on video for a very long time....
I saw her during this tour and it was a true blessing. I love Fiona Apple so much and forever, she's legit been my number 1 artist for decades of my life. So I knew that if I didn't see her when she was touring "the idler wheel" there was a chance I'd never get to see her. It was such a magical experience, I'm so grateful I got to see her.

She went on to tell a story about how looking at her favorite cat sticker cheered her up when she was learning how to play as a youngster. She'd traded her whole sticker book to get it, and it delighted her to no end.

always fascinated by artists holding onto songs for a long time, like radiohead not releasing true love waits for 20 years or nude for 10 years
