well reunion is not a remake like FF7R, reunion is only a remaster of the original crisis core FF7
and the whole fate alterning stuff only happens in the new continuity of games including FF7 remake and rebirth

It's got very very bad english voice acting, and yes it was very very weird just like the other spin offs. Many problems, not a particularly 'bad' game I'd say though, just the way they had all the one wing angels still makes me cringe a bit.

Instead of making Sephiroth a better villain, explaining his descent to madness with more than 'he locked himself in a villain library (and probably a crate of red wine) for a week'
(I'm oversimplifying, but really, I can't be the only one who thinks Sephiroth is a shit, boring villain with the character depth of a piece of paper. He works in the original FF7 ... mostly because he's hardly in it.)
Instead, they introduced this insufferable twat Genesis and the other SOLDIERs muddling up everything even more. Delving further into the SOLDIER lore is fine, but not like this. Focus on the characters you have. Also, making the Buster Sword such a unique weapon creates a massive plothole in FF7. How the eff did Aerith not recognise it when she met Cloud?
God, I've forgotten just how BAD Genesis's overdramatic sperging was. Make it stop! That poor voice actor was wasted on this dumbass character.
Zack deserved a much, much better game.
