@@jerryoftheriver cmon man those brand new Ukrainian F-16s and their inexperienced crews are not up to the job of properly covering this incursion (I'm not sure if they've even taken delivery) - every F-16 and its (very likely) 2-seater crew are precious resources which took an enormous amount of investment to acquire and train, not only that, the actual working planes are the no.1 target of the Russian military because they will want to do everything to swiftly crush their F16 flight program- if UA put them in the skies near the border they would be in serious danger (these are not US pilots with years of training like something out of Top Gun I'm sorry to tell you, you shouldn't be expecting any miracles from those F-16s)- I dunno if you know this but the HiMARS and ATACMS is basically one and the same thing (one is the launcher platform, the other is the very large missile) that system is meant for targeting large valuable targets like bases (not moving units spread out in Kursk) - it sounds more like you heard about a bunch of shiny toys and mistakenly thought Lockheed Martin were in the business of manufacturing miracles- if toys like that were as awesome as you imagine then Ukraine would've solved their Chasiv Yar and Donbas problems months ago

There are quite clear indications regarding the offensive in Ukraine, and it involves a combined arms operation by several brigades. This is not a small-scale operation. Secondly, the media's inability to even speculate on strategic and operational military targets within Russia approaches absurdity. Russia was never going to go to the bargaining table. Why should they ?

They will if they think they need time to regather their strength, which is why Ukraine should not negotiate with them.

@@stephenhill545 It is Zelensky who said he would hold another peace conference and invite Russia. It is Ukraine that is dependent on US aid and all that is in the process of drying up.

@@stephenhill545 Either way it's a lose-lose for Ukraine. Let's be realistic Ukraine won't be able to uphold this siege of land in Russia... I still think it's an incredibly dumb move that can actually backfire. They eventually willl lose this land and I doubt Russia is going to stop at the border.
Ukraine just created a second front, that's all it did. This just means Ukraine will have to either retreat at some point, or spread out it's troops more meaning they will lose more ground in the east.
