      you never push. except when going uphill. if you push and we xray it. slag inside.

    I am attending RSI at the moment but having trouble with laying the 3rd bead. Do I need to go a lil slower or stay with the same speed as the 2nd.

      Cool your plate down dunk it in some water. My rule for a 4f six pass is run the root if I do a hot pass dunk it after those two then dunk every two beads but absolutely make sure you cool your t down before you run your cap. And remember your rod angle is constantly changing with over head so make sure you're coming in at the right angle or else you'll get beads that are either under or overfills.

    I never really considered that overhead welding its the ones that are a joint that is directly over your head not in a corner weld like that it’s a lot easier to stack or triple pass ur welds like that I just feel that not really a overhead weld because straight over your head in a joint is way harder looked good tho I just did a 4 g and it was hard

    What's up with the pushing angle? Looks like if you are making videos to teach beginners you would at least show them the proper rod angles,,,

      I noticed the same thing. His hand is stationary so he goes from drag to push over the length of the weld.

    Hi, how many amps sir ?

    • @brian6391
      @brian6391 Год назад

      They're saying 125-130 but that's took high for 7018 overhead that's why his beads come out chunky and inconsistent.
