    My Mom passed away in her sleep 5 days ago. In the same situation, I would've wanted my family to do the same. His father was already dead and there was nothing he could do.
    Now, it would've been a completely different situation if his father was on his deathbed and there was a chance he could get there in time and say his final goodbye.

    My dad passed away 5 years ago why I was 9 during his sleep he had a heart attack, my mom couldn’t recover for over 6 months, she now is married again to my stepdad who has been there for all of us and now means the world. R.I.P Jeremy (my dad who died)

    I'm a Royal's fan, I remember wanting to win the World Series SO badly for the first time in my lifetime. We had just been the previous year and came up short. I remember being so sad and upset with them for not telling him and letting him play. When he came back and said he appreciated what they did, I felt stupid.

    My uncle passed away at 1 am and I had a football game that day at 9am my dad and mom didn’t tell me cause they knew I wouldn’t have been able to play his 1 year anniversary was also on my game the next year I knew this I almost scored a touchdown but got tackled at the 1 I cried because I miss him and never got to say goodbye and that would have been like a late goodbye

      I’m so sorry you your loss I lost my aunt 02/12/22 and I was at church then my dad and uncle(my uncle and aunt aren’t married)dropped me,my mom,and my sisters off at a breakfast place then he texted my mom that she died I did not cry cause we were at a restaurant and when I got home I screamed into a pillow the a few days ago I said this candy she would always give us when we saw her.ALSO I WILL NEVER LOVE FOURTH OF JULY NO MORE(we used to go to her house to watch fireworks cause it was down the street

    My mom died that year, too. I remember that. I was very upset about the loss of my mom. One of my friends, also lost his mom at that time, too.

    You should do a video on Joe Dumars playing for the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Finals. His father died right before the game and his family and teammates decided not to tell him. He played a great game and won the Championship.

    Royals fan here, I remember when this happened and I felt sick, I felt so bad for him, he made up for it tho playing a helluva game in game 3, us royals fans went through a lot in our glory days such as Yordano Ventura dying in a car crash and one more player losing his uncle, I can’t remember who but I know one of em did

      MJ cried cause his dad was murdered. He parked in a rest area to catch sleep and 2 guys (liked his car) so they shot em, stole his car, and dumped his body in a carolina swamp.....thats why he cried

      Why? His family was the ones who asked the team not to tell him. The only thing telling him before the start would do is screw up his focus and emotions. Also, it was probably his father's dream that one day his son would not only pitch in MLB but would one day pitch in a World Series game.

      If you watch the video, his family told them not to tell him. It was their idea to keep it from him in the first place because they didn't want it to ruin the game for him and his father wouldn't have wanted it to ruin the game either. They carried out the family's wishes.

      And no one in the stadium new. The family didn't just announced it for everyone to know besides him. It's not like it was public news. After he was pulled from the game the family told him in person. Then it was announced later on. Can't blame the royals for something the family wanted

    This is incorrect, his dad did not pass away while he was pitching, he passed away just before the game started and the team and family decided not to tell him as to not affect his performance in the world series.
