Realistically Godot could have just torn up the letter before pearl found it and the plan would have never gone into motion. Or they could have just went “Hey Pearl, we know you got a letter telling you to do a thing. Please don’t.”
The whole point of this case is that Godot did it to gratify his ego, to prove that he could protect Maya where Phoenix couldn't, just like how he feels Phoenix failed to protect Mia. Godot admits at the end of the case that if it was really about protecting Maya, he should have told Phoenix about Morgan's plan.
Well Godot couldn't forgive himself so he tried to make up an excuse to save Maya, Misty Fey went along because it was her daughter but couldn't tell her directly due to the risk of her identity being found and Iris just used this opportunity to secretly see Phoenix again but was too ashamed of herself

Near the end of the case, Godot says that instead of putting Maya's life at risk, he could have just stopped Pearl from carrying out Morgan's plans. But he choose not to do so. He was blinded by hatred for Dalia. He starts to doubt himself, and realised that his intention was never to protect Maya. The only person he wanted to protect was himself, from accepting the fact that the love of his life was gone.
At first, I thought that they couldn't communicate, but actually they kinda could discuss this beforehand and give disposing of body job to Iris. Also, these last lines are hilarious.
@@shoopydoopy6062Then he could get Morgan’s visitation rights revoked. It’s explained in the Japanese version that she’s on death row anyway, so she may not have had another opportunity to meet with Pearl unsupervised. That’s why Pearl says it was her “last request” or something.
I just played this case, and I thought there was an alternative way to stop the murder and even potentially save misty. Have Misty's hand and feet tied up, maybe chained to a wall/pillar or any for similar effect, then channel Dahlia as originally planned, but this way Dahlia cannot try to murder anyone. After Maya gets out alive, Misty can stop channeling , or if needed, let Maya or Pearl cast the channeling severance technique mentioned in the Kurain village case. For safe measure, maybe even stuff Misty's mouth to prevent Dahlia from biting her/Misty's own tongue

Hmm... there's a few things I can't help but dig out, Godot couldn't throw the body because it would hit the rocks, so Iris would've had to throw the body after the pendulum trick, but giving the Master of Kurain such an unceremonious grave would be sacrilege to her... ... ... but what she did instead was even worse. Yeah, why did they need to take the body back to the temple? Not to conceal the actual crime scene, because one look at the obvious cleared snow would tell anyone where to actually look. Still, I wouldn't say it's the dumbest plan in the series. "Okay I've killed the psychologist/engineer trying to identify me! Now to cover my face and put on her jacket so the robot thinks she's still alive!... Wait a second I'm a master of disguise, I can just disguise myself as her! There!" "Mommy! Look at this drawing I did" "Oh uh...! That's great honey!" "Mommy? What's that on the floor?" "Ummm, that's uh... a robot duplicate of myself I'm building... Please run along now, I want to show it to you when it's complete!" "Okay Mommy" "Phew that was close. Can you imagine if it was obvious to even a sheltered naive girl I'd killed her? My plan could've gotten ridiculously complicated! Good thing I had the sense to actually use my special skill!"

there is a big problem with plot when you look at the map there is big are of rocks near river of godot's side of bridge and bridge was unusable that time so throwing a human that for would be impossible even for godot

I feel you, but unfortunately, you need to do the hand motions for spirit channeling, so it wouldn’t work with bound hands.

Usually, it would, but the ground isn’t on Iris’s side, so that’s why Godot tosses the body to her and Iris tosses the body under.
