I find your accent quite pleasant Nathan and very easy to understand. Here in Australia, it’s a big place with many accents, lots of multi-culturalism. English is not first language to many families, one person I met it was his 14th language, along with many Aboriginal languages. As you move away from cities people tend to live at a slower pace, including talking, and some people seem to mumble. So it’s a challenge to understand some accents at times. My stepfather from Scotland used to tell people he was speaking the Queen’s English.

For what it's worth here are my thoughts from the uk. 1. The quality, editing and content of your videos is second to none. 2. Your use of language, your accent and the music you choose all adds colour and authenticity to the videos. 3. Your business, do it your way and confusion to the enemy. You may have noticed I'm a big fan, keep up the good.

Bless his heart, I had the worst time trying to explain that to a Japanese friend once. Also had a little trouble explaining it to a friend over in London. Even folks right here in the good old U.S. of A. can't understand it sometimes. Hmmm.

I don’t know why people watch videos on RUclips and complain about what the person is doing on the video if you don’t like it quit watching their channel everybody has their own way of doing things just enjoy the video and if the person in the video wants advice then give it if not don’t criticize them

16:56 I'm in NZ and I can understand you just fine. Some of the colloquialisms may take me a half second or so to process but the accent is no issue. 😁😆
20:33 My bosses love the smell of cedar on their open fire and I go collect couple of 200kg bags of offcuts for them every year. The sawmill is happy to have it taken away for a minimal charge.
It would probably be free if we didn't have to import all our cedar. There is also the minor cost of bagging it rather than just bulk piles.
The mill still chips and burns the vast majority of their offcut and trimmings because there is no real market for it.
Some people just don't get cost analysis.
Also, for those who may think this "waste wood" could be used for energy generation, very little of this timber has any real calorific value that could justify setting up that kind of infrastructure on a local small scale.

I'm a Michigan born Yankee transplanted to NC 13 years ago. I have no problem understanding you. Of course, I spent 25 years OTR driving with a LOT of time in the deep south and southwest. Ignore the comments from those who obviously have no clue, because apparently, there are such things as stupid questions. Keep doin' what you're doin'. 👍🏻

Saw dust.. I have a friend with a live stock auction house in Pennsylvania, he provides a mill with a box truck to collect the saw dust. No expense to the operator, and he picks up the truck. Win win.
Im pretty sure the thing on the sawmill you called a tire is an airbag. The close up of the expression on your face when you read the comment were dude said you're being wasteful by burning all the slabs was the best part in the video! Almost spit water everywhere that I was drinking right when you zoomed in. Great video.

Came here to second Brian Harrington's comment. I'm a 70 y.o. Californian that has always admired the different southern accents. The thicker the drawl, the better. In fact, I'm a little jealous we don't have a more interesting accent out here on the Left Coast. With the possible exception of the Quebecois, any North American should be able to understand you easily.
Ohio here, no issues with the accent. Also, a lot of small mills like yourself save logs that would otherwise be landfill. Any waste you make is still net positive vs the alternative. I do however think you should push more slag in front of where you park your track loader. That drop always makes me think you will end up with a broken nose one day.😂

Your accent is very distinctive, I like to hear you speak and don't change a thing.
I remember right after I got my license my dad would send me to a sawmill down the road from us with $15 and I would load my 72 Chevy long bed up with as much slabs as it handle. I blew a shock during a run so he bought some air shocks so I could carry more. I’d get to the house stop by the wood pile and start cutting firewood right from the truck and stack it. Nowadays firewood has to look pretty. I sure can understand every word that you say, so no need to change. See y’all later.
