Now could you please show us the real video. The one that shows us which device gets to the content we want faster. Open some apps and see which one loads streaming services faster. That's what we want to see. Thanks
Ive used various devices. Roku, firestick & google Chromecast. I find chromecast and roku sluggish. Currently i use apple tv 4k (2022) Its in a league of its own.
I think there's not much a difference, just think Chromecast hardware better cause on the Onn you have to mess with the settings to add storage and might have to toggle USB debugging to get Mouse toggle working if completely restarting , but decent box for the price .Nice review my friend !!!
I have two android TV devices (outside my TV) the Google Chromecast with Google TV, and a 2019 NVIDIA Shield TV Pro,. for your everyday streaming the chromecast is an excellent value, and people who want Dolby Vision need to go with it over the ONN as the ONN doesn't support DV. I have a Shield because I'm a Plex user, and it's the only device that does lossless audio passthrough for local streaming of movies ripped from disc. So my recommendation for the more advanced setups, get a Shield and Chromecast. The shield doesn't support HDR on RUclips and a few newer formats over the Shield, and the Shield is a good local media management tool, so combine the two and you're good. I also have a Roku Ultra and Apple TV, but I think the Apple TV 4K, and android TV are the overall best, and most stable options that compliment each other. Apple TV is required if you want to take advantage of spatial audio from Apple music and other Apple features.
I'll pick the Onn 4K Google TV Streaming device over the Chromecast with Google TV all day everyday. At $21.52 (tax included), no other device comes close. Once it went on sale online, I snapped up 3 units.
I am paying for 250 down and I am getting about 220 down with my ONN. box. The ONN. box is located in my basement while my router is on my second floor
Does the Onn work well with Google home devices? I generally toggle my Chromecast on and off and control playback for my kid using Google home from the other room.
I have two problems with ONN TV box. Hulu keeps giving error after I binge watch for a while. Also the remote stop being able to control TV on/off and volume.
I had wifi connectivity problems on my ONN Google tv device. I have sent it back for a replacement. The device would repeatedly lose connection intermittently. Has anyone else had this problem with the ONN device?
Technically they still do run Android TV OS. Google TV is just overlayed on top as the user interface. Android TV is the core of the system. Google TV isn't the OS, just an overlay. Similar to how Samsung phones are Android but with One UI as an overlay/interface. A way to check is go to the settings, then "System", then "About", it will say Android TV for the OS.
I prefer Chromecast with Google TV. Personally I also prefer big names brand companies when it comes to certain devices in general. I'm picky when it comes to the remote long as the remote works it I'm ok. Plus I have my chromecast remote, Google TV remote on my phone and PS5 controller which also can be use a to control my Chromecast with Google TV device. Team Google Company.
Well said 👍🤘👌🤙🔥💥 Me too nothing beats a genuine Google Brand device, I have three 4K Chromecast TV on my three TVs in my house for a few years now works flawless still and loving it. Never buy for example Google TV in the another crap device I don't know nothing about or heard of.. Just get the real thing & worry free down the road!!
I mean I guess inquiring minds want to know, however neither of these is adequate for good long-term use in my opinion. This is just the cheap junk this year that people get...... They quickly realize this cheap junk is exactly that, cheap junk that is underpowered for what they really need. Skip both of these and just go for the Nvidia shield or Apple TV. Both of those are good quality streaming devices you will be much happier with long-term instead of these here today replaced tomorrow cheapies. Would you rather pay more than the cost of an Nvidia shield or Apple TV and the next 5 to 10 years by getting multiple cheap junk devices or get one quality device that is slightly more initially but stable and usable for years after? People spend more on these cheap junk devices and they do if they would just get the right quality piece of hardware from the start. I pay attention to what these devices offer just because I like following this stuff as a hobby, but I would never feel good about using a device with 2 gigs of ram in 2023. These devices aren't much different than the so-called Smart TVs where the bare minimum is exactly what you get. It doesn't work well most of the time, it barely is able to handle the minimum basic things...... Try doing too much on it and it's overwhelmed very easily.
If your using Nvidia shield guess what? You're using a device with 2 gigs of ram. Yes you get better cpu and gpu power in the 2 devices you mentioned .....and your paying through the nose for it at 150 bucks. It's overkill for what these Google TV devices are designed to do.

My ONN is pretty responsive...
Good luck finding them in stock....also for the guys worried about the quality , get the warranty for a few bucks and you'll be good for a few years
ONN is not bad for the price. I have one and I find it to be okay for streaming. No Dolby Vision but I don't really care. $19.99 can't beat that.
Yeah I just hooked mine up and it's not bad at all,its my very first streaming device...
I was ready to buy onn because the remote is more appealing. Now that I see the benchmarks are the same, even better.

Did you get a feel for which streamer opened the apps faster?
Onn is pretty fast..
HI please tell me why some ONN have CORTEX-A35 and others ONN have CORTEX-A53 ? I see manny videos and always see that difference

Hi, which version has the newer software? I saw that the Homescreen was slightly different.
Does the Onn work well with Google home devices? I generally toggle my Chromecast on and off and control playback for my kid using Google home from the other room.
It should run the same it runs the same android tv
Please do an ashphalt 8 gaming test on both of 'em
Where is the bookmark button on the New Onn box?
I have two problems with ONN TV box. Hulu keeps giving error after I binge watch for a while. Also the remote stop being able to control TV on/off and volume.
Can you stream the internet with these types of devices?THANKYOU!
Do you have a video on how to install 3rd party apps?
I had wifi connectivity problems on my ONN Google tv device. I have sent it back for a replacement. The device would repeatedly lose connection intermittently. Has anyone else had this problem with the ONN device?
Nope but I just hooked it up a couple of days ago...
The Onn remote doesn't pick up my voice half the time and it won't display my backyard Nest Cam. My Chromecast is the clear winner for me
Nice comparison M. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT
Solute TIM!!
wish the newer Onn didn't come with Google TV OS . They used to run Android TV OS
Android is dead. Google TV is a favorite for advertisers.
@@ca4merica945 True - Google TV is slowly being phased out.

PSA: the onn remote works seamlessly with ccwgtv!!
What do those initials mean??
please compare Onn Tv Stick and CCwGGTV HD, thank you!
How can I remove my account information with out setting the Onn Google tv?
If u remove the device will reset itself u have to have a google log in at all times.
@@thomassetzer Yes, that's the only thing that makes the Firestick a little better if you are a re-seller.

@@SFBenjaminK Definitely!! I have 2 Chromecast with Google TV 4K devices (Bedroom and Living room)
One of the points to consider before buying is what ONN will do with the data you share with them.
ONN 4k
Compare the Chromecast to the Nvidia shield....
Mmmmm...😁😁😁👍👍👍

On box sucks. Waste of 20 bucks. It’s slow Takes a few seconds to execute button commands and crashes on certain streaming apps
Can it emulate shit without issues?
