      When has a Dubas team ever finished at the bottom of the conference? When was the last time the Pens finished bottom of the conference? Besides that, with the Pens rebuilding, finishing that low only helps them, right? Whatever helps you guys cope I guess lol

      @james_nolan Cope. 😅 We don't give two shits who joins Dubas in Pittsburgh. And, they might not finish at the bottom. But they won't be making the playoffs while Dubas is in charge. Sid should get out of there if he ever wants a shot at winning again.

    Loyalty to whom ? What type of Loyalty?
    Two types of loyalty to those who are loyal to you and the all mighty dollar!
    Then there is figurty loyalty say all the right things but when a better offer is presented you are gone!
    These words and terms are like a revoling door.
    Loyalty meant something years ago !
    Lastly blind loyalty follow and lead blindly ,dumped on while others move past you with less knowledge experience while you are appeased with words like hard worker dedicate goes the extra mile only watch the parade pass you buy.
    You are loyal to those and others that show you the same and respect that you have demonstrated and shown towards them

    Clark had to rely on a whole team Leaf scouts who do the leg work.

  • @robm9999
    @robm9999 3 месяца назад +1

    So where’s the draft picks coming back to Toronto for patching Clark? Why is it that the Leafs have to pay former teams, or are unable to use like Tre at last years’ draft, unless the Leafs pay draft picks or something?

    • @CrimsonicStorm
      @CrimsonicStorm 3 месяца назад

      What? That was never a discussion that the Leafs needed to give CGY draft picks before they would let Tre be at the Leafs draft table. Who told you that?
      Teams can poach staff from other teams for free, the team gets no compensation.

    • @robm9999
      @robm9999 3 месяца назад

      @@CrimsonicStorm never meant Calgary other than he couldn’t be at the draft table. I am referring to the requirement to ask permission tot speak to an employee under contract and the past practice of having to pay compensation if you poached an employee from another team. As far as I know Clark was still under contract.

    • @CrimsonicStorm
      @CrimsonicStorm 3 месяца назад

      @@robm9999 You dont need to pay compensation in terms of draft capital, to teams for poaching staff. It does not exist whether they still have a contract or not. All that happens in this case would be Wes Clarks contract with the Leafs gets destroyed, and he now is on the contract that the Pens have given him. He gets no more paychecks from MLSE and no gets them from the Pens.

    • @robm9999
      @robm9999 3 месяца назад

      @@CrimsonicStorm yes I’m aware. It used to be the case you paid compensation. Oilers paid to hire a fired Peter Chicarelli, leafs did to hire both Babcock and Lamorillo. Other examples out there as well. But you do have to ask permission to talk to them if they are under contract, which Clark was. And if Dubas asked before the draft then I think is fair to question if Clark did the Leafs dirty at the draft or not given the relationship between Dubas and the Leafs. Either way, it’s a fair question to ask if Dubas and Clark were communicating prior to the draft. That would be tampering.

    • @CrimsonicStorm
      @CrimsonicStorm 3 месяца назад

      @@robm9999 Hes not in a high enough position for anyone to care. I also highly doubt tampering occurred, even if going to Pittsburgh was talked about at the draft, he still had obligations to the Leafs and drafted the best D man available. I also doubt that he "did the Leafs dirty" at the draft. He has an entire staff, along with Tree and Shanny who are in on drafting players, hes not just making picks all on his own, so it wouldn't be possible to throw the Leafs draft. People would ask questions "Oh, why do you want him Clark? I thought we wanted that Danford kid or X, Y and Z?" It would be impossible, he doesnt even get the final say on who they draft, its a conglomerate effort. Not only would it be impossible to do (screwing the Leafs draft) but it would be unprofessional and would look terrible on his resume when going to a new job.
      Also, lets not act like Clark was a god, he made countless odd draft choices that sometimes worked out and sometimes didn't. Did he ever draft a player that people thought the Leafs would pick? If working for Daddy Dubas means so much to him then bye bye enjoy being with a mediocre team that wont make the playoffs again until they rebuild. Leafs will replace him and be fine.

    This GREAT news! Clark was using 1st round picks to build his little skilled defence such as Rasmus Sandin & Timothy Liljegren while the rest of the NHL was going after big mobile defensemen. Matthews & Marner were no-brainer picks but other Leaf picks were weak. Clark & Dubas were clearly on the same page. Look at Dubas' first signing in Pitt. - Erik Karlsson which was a disaster. Good riddance Clark. He and Dubas deserve one another.
