Man. I am currently in drug treatment. 39 days clean from fentanyl. You hit me straight in the heart talking about how the brain should not have the power in deciding every decision we make. That's something they talk alot about in recovery. Thank you for always wearing your heart on your sleeves brother. You help more people than you probably realize. Gang Gang

@@igo0di I am 203 days clean off fentanyl. Had a relapse in April of this year. Only took 1 slip. Woke up 6 days later in ICU. Grateful to be alive.

@Its Ant I was clean for over a year then relapsed. Got clean again for 6 months. Used once and woke up in ICU after 6 days on life support. I will have a year off fentanyl on April 23rd. It's one day at a time.

Bro this video hit me at the perfect time. I've been stirring around trying to make a change in my life, and this story is what I needed to hear this morning.
I had a friend die of an overdose few years ago and now my best friend is using. I remember talkin to a therapist about it and just the thought forming that sentence absolutely broke me down. Listening to Theo talk about this with so much empathy and sensitivity is truly beautiful to me. Its nice to hear other ppl be understanding of how fucked up drugs are

I just typed in "nothing changes if nothing changes" and Theo Von came up #1 wow... thank you for these words cause I've been living in some shadow of something... my former self... my pain... the darkness and pain outside of me that I see and fighting that it not come inside and dictate to me that all is lost, you know? Thank you so much.
Going through rough shit right now and discovered that all the people I thought were my best friends are actually new family, they're supporting me through it and I even discovered 2 new people who jumped at the opportunity to help. They're an inspiration to me, to get my shit together enough so I can help someone else when the time comes.
11 months sober this weekend. you're an inspiration in how you articulate the knowledge of self. Your naked honesty outside the cold shell of cynicism is a true sight for sore eyes.

Needed to hear this. I’ve been down on myself so bad lately. I’m a motivated guy driven by passion, and by every metric people look at me and feel like I have it all together and I’m just lost beyond belief and feeling so down. I’m 24 and working in a job that pays well but I don’t see where my future is taking me, and I want to be doing more and impacting people more. I was seeing a girl who I was crazy about, thought she had it all and then she ghosted me. It’s been really hard to stay positive, but I never want to act like a victim with all that I have to be grateful for, and I know that things will all work out. I think I just struggle a lot feeling like every year that passes my life doesn’t change all that much, so I get down on myself. Still no gf, still in the same job that I don’t love, etc. I ask myself all these big questions and feel like I’m searching for the right answer when in reality all that does is paralyzes my decision making. Nothing changes if nothing changes. We win or we learn.
Holy shit its like ive written this myself. Also 24, also in a job that pays well, also ghosted recently by a girl i was interested. Sometimes I wonder if its not just age related, too many dudes out there going through similar stuff. But hopefully were gonna make it.. one day were gonna make it

It is a blessing ,once in a life time opportunity but it had also curse I felt an outsider,awkward,unworthy, feel like I’m living inside a transparent orb that separate me from the people and life around me.Sometimes when i listen to you i feel like Home , you make laugh and question and inspire me to actually Be good to myself by changing what i can change . much Love man !

Just over a month ago now I applied for a new job that I was interested in but didn’t have much experience. I was honest with them and told them I was willing to learn. They gave me the job and I feel the same. I’ve gotten out of the rut.
I always go back to this video. I keep reminding myself of I need to make a change if I want to make something change.
Theo, I only discovered you about 6 mos ago. But brother, you are the truth. You are the “normal guy” I can relate to. You have the power to change and motivate people without even trying to. You are a positive dude but at the same time you doubt yourself. Stop doubting yourself brother, you are the person you think you are when you are at your “high points”.

I’ve never been in a 12 step program or heard that phrase before, but I heard him say it a coupla episodes after Jeanie Buss was on the show. I’ve shared that with a lot of people just because. Not because I saw they needed it but just because. It’s a good motivational piece.

damn. As an addict and current addict I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. It really is a sad thing and the worse thing ever. There’s always more fight left. I think knowing how many other people are alone and suffering with addiction can give you a little more fight to go on. Feel a little less alone
