Stock car with plenty of fire suppression material, cars normally don't just crash and catch on fire. Also a long sleeve t-shirt and long pants that is the minimum requirement at most track days isn't going to do anything more to protect you than a t-shirt and shorts. Sure there is a risk the car could catch on fire and he could be passed out and not be able to get out, but highly unlikely. There is always some risk, no organization requires fire suppression on street cars nor do they require a fire suit. Would it make it safer? Sure, but not necessary IMO.
