I have American friends that says that listen to Sweds talk to each other’s is like hearing two people sing. Swedish is a language that has a melody in it self so yes it’s made to sing in. And all the different accents is made for different kind of music. Like Peps you reacted to before, he is from the south and here is reggae and blues and Latino more in the flow of the dialect.
If I remember it correctly he wrote this song (a rendition if Auld Lang Syne) when his grandmother died of cancer. So this song was used for a campaigne to cancer awareness. The stentence ”if I close my eyes we’re together again” always makes me tear up, I lost my little brother to cancer 14 years ago and I miss him.
Yes this performance got famous and the song was on radio a lot, so beautiful! My favourite from this show is Benjamin with Monica Mac, you will love it. Also, i highly recommend reacting to Swedish sisters first aid kit performing Emmylou infront of Emmylou herself at the polar music prize, so lovely
I love this song. This song is a re wrote version of ”tänd ett ljus” (light a candle). The og is about giving light over the cold darkness of winter in Sweden. It’s played often around christmas (Jul in swedish) where our land is the darkest. We use Jul as a holliday to light up our cold country and give light and hope in dark times. A perfect base for this beautifull song for the cancer prevention organisation (I don’t know what’s called in english. Sorry). That every street is dealing with something even if YOU are far away. This song can represent so much more. My little sister just got diagnosed with diabetes type 1. We did not know so she nearly died and had to be put in ER and then into the hospital. She’s home now but we still try to learn. She is so tired she cries some times, she’s my little fighter. I have struggled with kidney stone for 4 months now. Been in ER 2 times due to the pain.
The best thing for you is to learn Swedish, because then you would have cried to all our songs. People born outside of Sweden think we *sing* when we talk. It can contribute to our sad songs and lyrics. You react exactly as intended with the songs, even though you don't understand the language. Very good reaction!
Thanks for appreciate our fantastic artists from Sweden💐. I have 3 favorites to recommend. Ulrik Munther, jag vet inte hur man gör Darin, en säng av rosor Chris Kläfford, cold at the altar Have a nice day🎉 Love from Sweden
Another suggestion is to listen to Kent, especially the very well known song "utan dina andetag" (without your breath). It's hard to put into a specific genre. Some say (alternative) rock, other say pop. I would say at least this song is more of a rock ballad and that they seem to always put quite a lot effort into to good lyrics'. Here's a video with the English lyrics on screen: ruclips.net/video/UXYP7AaS64Q/видео.htmlsi=SB4V41jchEQv2rsw
I can really recommend the Swedes: Darin- Den sista sången (The last song), live performance from Musikhjälpen. Or Molly Sandén-Husavik (Live from Oscars) Both stunning performances! Always appreciate your reactions👏
Stenström is fantastic 🎶 Because you like this song I strongly Recommend you to listen to ”Strövtåg i hembygden” with Mando Diao. Another wonderful Swedish song and an amazing voice of the singer. Very different and beautiful. 🎶🎶 (version live at Skavlan 2012, there is also one other version with the lyrics in english.
He has another very popular song with a completely different sound, called "Slå mig hårt i ansiktet". I couldn't find it with English lyrics on screen, but I'm sure you can translate it as you usually do ruclips.net/video/qBB-HusEtps/видео.htmlsi=YhPqe6vjlX7E7Qrj

Love from Sweden
The swedish language have alot of synonyms or euphemisms and therefore it’s not a problem to make every word sound like it’s made for the song
You really like that song don't you? Very emotionell song when you understand swedish
This really hits very hard as a Swedish person 😢
In the background you can se Sara Larsson one of our biggest international artist to day.
I could also suggest Det stora röda huset with Benjamin Ingrosso and Kungliga filharmonikerna . So beautil!
Love from Sweden

The melody sounds so typical French/Canadian doesn’t it?
It’s more or less the goodnight Waltz
The melody is a bit of a copy of the traditional All Lang Syne (modern version here: ruclips.net/video/acxnmaVTlZA/видео.html)
Yes, he use that melody in a campagne against cancer.
In the original he sing one verse with the melody from All Lang syne.
That explains it! Sung every New Year’s Eve in the UK.❤
"Auld lang syne"
@@anita1499 *auld lang syne*
