Loved your Ferrari reference. This one sealed the deal for me, but I was a little concerned that she would shatter my eardrums, so I turned the volume down a bit. Even though she is pushing it towards the end, it is still my favorite version of this song by her. And I don't mean pushing in a negative way. I mean, having the guts to not let up, even as the song keeps building and taking more out of her. Yes, she keeps perfecting it in tone and quality as she gets older, but nothing compares to the energy in this performance for me.

Angelina never 'over-sings' a song but if a song calls for belting, yes, she can belt with the best of them. Examples: Feeling Good and I'm Still Holding Out For You- age 10; Lovin' You - age 11; I'd Rather Go Blind (one breath 16 sec. belt), It's a Man's World and The Show Must Go On - age 12; IHN - age 13; and more as you progress through the years.
The songs you mention above is a must.

Hey, man, great reaction! This was a phenomenal undertaking for Angelina at age TWELVE! And she pulled it off brilliantly & beautifully! NOW, fast forward four years later, and listen to her version of the same song at age 16! Just as beautiful, but radically even more powerful and different nuances, depth, etc. Last summer 2022, she did both a studio version (actually, it was in an antique shop setting in L.A. where she had also done "My Funny Valentine") and an outdoor stage performance at the "Alsang pa Grensen" Music Festival on the Norwegian-Swedish border during her Norwegian concert tour last year. In both venues, she sounds AND looks like a Grecian goddess! Please check them out! Thanks!

I'm with you!! I SO appreciated all of her nuances and sensitive interpretations that seem to reveal the true message of each song - and I LOVE that she doesn't throw in belting and runs just to show off what she can do!! However! Somehow, I DID feel like I wanted to hear her do a song that "required" belting, just to experience her gift in THAT area! And this one DID that!! The lead-up bars to those places where you know it's going to go to another level just have you holding your breath in anticipation... and then the pay-off comes! And her "belting" not only satisfies what you're holding your breath for, but exceeds it!! WOW!!! -And the EASE with which she does it is just amazing!! 12?!!! REALLY?!!! Unbelieveable!

Way to go Daniel....glad you got to this one. As the title says, Angelina's tribute to one of her idols...Whitney. She is not trying to be Whitney, she is simply giving her respect to one of the greatest vocalist of our time, by the soon to be greatest vocalist since then. Loving the journey, it is a long one, but well worth every second. True Artists do exist Daniel, here is one of them, the mundane music industry just doesn't know it. I think current generations are dazzled and distracted by all the production flair, scantily clad singers and dancers, vulgar lyrics and auto tuned crap that real and talented vocal artists get lost in all the smoke and mirrors so to speak. I have to believe that the reason Angelina's fan base is older and more mature folks is that we are not "distracted" by all the fluff and appreciate true artists and talent..... done ranting...😁😁. You are absolutely correct Carl. This is exactly why Angelina is struggling to get the fame she deserves on her own. Which is why then you need a record label to help you. And a record label might be on the good side or the bad side (meaning a record label ask for something from the artist, it could be anything from bad to good and in return they help her to get to the fame). Now Angelina obviously has her family protecting her and it might also be that Republic records are on the good side, but you never know. These things are true and there are a lot of artists that came forward to speak about it. Check out Loren Allred when she was younger starting with a record label, she was asked to do certain stuff for the record label to help her. So thinking about what I just said imagine all of todays artists and the way you described them Carl, imagine what they went through to get the help and fame they got to. That's why they turn so dark and have to do the music they are asked to do. So if Angelina made the deal to have complete control with what she releases, she might not have to full help from the record label. I'm not saying that Republic are on the bad side (nobody knows for certain) but for now Angelina looks like she has complete control, lets see what the future holds for her when her family might not be around always to help her. The industry is a scary place and you need to be strong to survive it and be the artist that you really wanted to be when you were younger.

Certainly Angelina has powerhouse in her toolbox 🙂🙂 She just never priorities it, as long as the song and lyrics ask for it. To be completely honest this song doesn't ask for it. But it was how it was made famous. Imagine this song with no belting and is sung in a softer tone like a proper love song, it surely makes more sense. But I would say that this was a tribute so she stuck with Whitney's decisions. Great reaction Daniel God Bless

12 yrs old, this was an amazing tribute, I have never heard anything like this from anyone much less a 12 year old little girl. I first heard her do this 4 years ago and it still blows me away. written and performed by Dolly Parton , this is a cover of a cover, Whitney's version was the most popular but she wasn't 12 she was 28, simply amazing
