After all, it is a tribute to the best female vocal artist of the century.
But, in the secret of my mind and heart, I say it, believe it and hold it sicerely as the all times most fascinating rendition of a cover, a masterpiece!.
May the gods of vocal music forgive me!

I think this is a great example of why Angelina is so good now at the age of 15. Many people are afraid and restrictive about everything. They say to themselves: I can't do this, I can't do that, nobody can top Whitney, or my voice is not enough, I'm not talented enough, I'm not ready for the stage yet, what would others think of me, I'll do it later,...
But Angelina on the other hand made progress at the speed of light, why, because she was fearless, she tackled everything, she tried many different songs in many different styles, she didn't care what others think of her, she never thought she wasn't ready yet, she always did what she loved to do, she didn't wait for a 100 takes, she left it at 1-2 takes (quote from her former guitarist), she performed on stage since she was like 7 years old, ... and now look at her, she performs like a pro at the age of 15 already, because she's got all that experience. And moreover, she proved that age doesn't matter when it comes to moving people with your singing.
Just don't forget to thank God in your prayers for a gift like Angelina if, you believe in God that is

Whitney was 29 years old when she recorded the original of this in a major recording studio, with all the bells and whistles of modern recording technology, and probably done in several takes. Angelina was 12 or 13, in a small recording studio or a room in her home, with only her, the microphone and the backing track…..and done in one take. Astounding!
One take, but she has probably sung it hundreds of times before. After all, she was singing Whitney at age one and a half. You can find the video on-line. She has been a fan of Whitney's from a very young age. Angelina is my favorite singer ever and I'm in my 70's. But, no need to overreact. Yeah I saw the interviews with her 2 guitarists and it's amazing that most songs are done in 1 or 2 takes. But this one, she probably sung herself to sleep singing it many times. Peace.

In addition to this beautiful rendition, Angie had the privilege of the composer of the song, David Foster, accompany her on the piano when she sang it at a charity event in 2019. David has known Angie since she was about 9. I can't imagine how thrilled she was having him accompany her, and he must have been blown away by her cover.

ANGELina allegedly did this tribute as a nod to those who've said she didn't have much of a vocal range....
Think she's proved over and over that you don't have to ruffle your feathers every time with huge runs, volume and range over 5-6 octaves to deliver a song in an epic way... But it's ok to know that she can do that too... ;)

Magical. She kills everything. This was around Angelina's 13th birthday. Whitney was 29. I truly believe Angelina can listen to a song and instantly create her own arrangement then sing that new arrangement in one take and move on to the next. We have NEVER SEEN anything like Angelina Jordan Astar before. She truly is MAGIC.
I have turned 180 degrees on my thought process concerning Republic Records. I have been critical of Republic for not promoting her first two singles. I now like to think Republic has given Angelina and her family what they desired and that is the freedom to create without interference AND allow Angelina to finish her schooling before having her career explode. We angels need to be patient and in the meantime, I will work harder at helping my neighbors which is so important to Angelina and her family. I will be requesting reactors to support a charity or find other ways to help those in need.

I have watched many performances of Whitney Houston singing this and have not found any live version where she is hitting those high notes, like Angelina does. It's like WH didn't want to risk it during a live performance. There are a lot of "Yes, but..." comments out there trying to point out little notes, breathes, etc. where they think Angelina is not quite at WH's level. Anyone who really thinks that, please send me a link to a live performance by WH where she hits those notes. I can't find one.

Ultra-impressive! Angelina is really pushing her limits as a twelve year old here, bless her. To me it is 95 % of Whitney’s professional studio recording at 29 - a recording that I don’t think Whitney was ever able to recreate live. She would usually lower it one or two steps, and add a lot of pauses. Angelina truly is a fearless performer, and for good reason...
Lots of music in my family, and I have favorites, but I appreciate more then one group or artist, because most top artist have one or two unforgettable performances and a few have several. With that being said. Angelina Jordan has as many unforgettable, making people cry & turned upside down emotionally, that you search for reason. It's insane! On top of that, she did this as a child, years ago, and she is still just a teenager! It doesn't stop there, no, no, she keeps delivering quickly and you don't get desensitized because she's that amazing. That's why I say "She is" and "Next Level Event" because this is new to the world, hearts have been touched and walls knocked down. and she is at the same time has created a new vocal effect no one talks about! She somehow keeps her larynx open while she slides with vocal fry and it's something else! No name for all of this!

This is a very beautiful reaction, thank you. She chose a song that isn't easy even for an adult singer with an extended vocal range and incredible belts, yet this little girl, she alone with her mike, no autotune and no interruptions, gets something extraordinarily beautiful and unique, even with the limitations due to age and the voice that has not yet fully evolved. I highly doubt that at the same age as her, Whitney herself would have been able to sing this song this way. 😁❤️

There are seasoned veteran singers that won’t dare attempt to cover this song. Thirteen year old Angelina Jordan had the confidence and conviction that she could pull it off. She not only pulled it off, but she blew the doors off of the cover. I’ll guess that there are a great many seasoned veteran singers that have a serious case of envy right now.

Love the reaction! I've always wondered about the lyrics of this song. "I'll never ask for too much, just all that you are and everything that you do." Huh? That sounds like a lot!
Anyway, there was only one Whitney and there will never be another. That said, I've seen several videos of Whitney singing this song live. While each is special in its own way, none are really as good as the original studio recording. I can't know how many takes, or what post production was done on that original.
Angelina's tribute lacks some of the power of Whitney's more mature voice and there is a point where Angelina seems to run short of air near the end. But a 13 year old girl with a microphone and a backing track from Sing King: ruclips.net/video/CS1Xf9hfUCk/видео.html is astounding!

Hi, I watch all your Angelina Jordan reactions. But if you do not mind can I give you some tips on your video quality. Your sharpness setting is a bit to high. So you picture looks a bit to hard. Also when possible try to put your light a little further away. then it will look a bit smoother and is nicer to look at. Have a nice day and good luck up to your 10,000 subs

This is the all-important "enhanced version" (thanks to Boris Palenovski). Many comments out there suggesting Angelina sing the next Bond film song.

There is one note slightly off-key and her voice cracks a touch towards the end. However I have screamed like a banshee to Whitney’s version on many occasions and realise what a very difficult song this is to sing. At 13 she sings this amazingly and by 18 I’m sure she will be singing it even better than Whitney. She is truly talented and I adore her but this is my least favourite of her covers 😔💕💕
