If you love some real piano, you are watching the correct performance. The pianist is the Studio Director for UMG, the owner of her label (Republic). This and 2 other of her recordings were done here, in his LA home studio.
It's so utterly wildly fantastic!! She's just sitting and singing this. It's so OUTRAGEOUSLY great, there practically are no words.
As much as I love Adele, she writes beautiful songs that are right in Angelina’s wheelhouse-and Angelina kills them just like this one. You haven’t reacted to A Million Years Ago or Someone Like You both of which are beautiful songs written and sung by Adele. Angelina just nails the emotion, and her voice has more texture and warmth than Adele’s. You will like those better than the originals-guaranteed. One of my absolute favorites is Angelina’s cover of Rihanna’s “Stay”. It’s just stunning, with Angelina (sitting down, by the way) and a great acoustic guitar backing her. You need to hear that cover.
And as another commenter mentioned, one of the most amazing sitting-down performances you’ll ever come across is Angelina’s cover of Etta James “I’d Rather Go Blind.” That’s one you’ll remember for a long time. Angelina reaches into her vocal toolbox and brings out a voice you’ve not heard before. Her range of styles is really incredible.

Angelina is Really cool. She's one of my triple AAA SUPER TALENTS. The other two are the very young classical awesome super soprano Amira Willighagen and the also very young stunning composer, violinist and pianist Alma Deutcher. I know there are many great talents worldwide. But these 3 for me are the cherries on the cake. You should react to them to. They will blow your socks off. Have fun dude.

My friend, how did you feel inside while you were listening to Angelina sing to you? Everything about her performance was near perfect and included runs which raised your eyebrows and made you smile. Her overtones were bouncing all over the room. But, how did you feel inside? The emotional roller coaster she put you on captivated your attention? Were you aware what she was doing to you while she sang?
Right now at 15 years old and still on the upward climb I would match her up against anyone in the world and I believe people would choose to listen to Angelina sing to them before anyone else. That decision is based on her musical genius and her soothing, soulful, jazzy delivery accompanied most times by only a guitar or a piano. That's enough right there, yes? But, wait. Her personality, so humble, so gracious, loving and caring, respectful and having the ability to touch someone's heart when she sings is something that cannot be produced. It has to be genuine. Sometimes our minds can be tricked but not our hearts. The heart knows in an instant what Angelina is bringing to the table and it's wow! wow! wow! So, what does your heart do? Here come the goosebumps, here come the tears, the inability to speak correctly. Yep, with all the attention focused on how literally great a musical artist she is your heart is making sure she's never leaving you. She's sending you love and inspiring you to share that love with others. She wants to make the world a better place to live, especially for those who have never experienced true happiness in their lives and the best way to start this gigantic project is for all people to begin to love one another.
Is it happening already? Well, test yourself. Do you seem "nicer" since you've known Angelina? Are you more caring? Are you less confrontational?
What about worldwide? How can she handle that? She has no boundaries: Gender, age, color, religion, language, doesn't make a difference. People who become aware of Angelina feel her love and they become an "Angel". Right now there are thousands and thousands (maybe millions?) of her "Angels" all over the world so, yes, I believe it is happening right now.
Last thing and it's very important. Is there any kind of pressure on Angelina to fulfill her dreams? No. Absolutely not. Angelina is not orchestrating a crusade of sorts which will dominate her life to a degree which will tie her up. No. Angelina is here for all of us and it's up to us to get the ball rolling. She will inspire us because of who she is, not because of who she is trying to be. I believe she is well aware of how we feel about her and that doesn't make her feel nervous. Instead, it brings a feeling of great joy to her. A great feeling of love for humanity.
Angelina will continue to sing to us, write music, inspire us, love us and when asked to she will give of herself to aid people in need, particularly children. I'll go out on a limb and say a day will come when shoes will be available to the children of the world wherever they are from. I don't know how but, can't we all agree that, somehow, Angelina's influence, and love, will be in the forefront.

Angelina has covered many artists, songs, and genres of music. And she has rearranged these to suit her own style usually. I am 78 years old and I have never in all my years listened to an artist who became the song, revealing the emotional content so realistically! And this besides the original works she has begun to release. I used to replay songs because the had a catchy tune or phrase, but with Angelina I replay the songs over and over to experience the emotion of the story she tells in song. It is not just an addiction, it is food for the soul-calming and enlivening at the same time. I am not one easily given to listening to emotional stories, but when Angelina sings/tells the story in song I am swept away, captivated, every time...thanks for your reaction, again...

I too went to listen to the original after hearing Angelina sing this, because I never heard it before. I didn't last half way through the song until I turned it off. Angelina owns this song now. This performance made it hers.

@@kevingood4644 There's something to this. I believe that it partially stems from the fact she started listening to and singing jazz from birth. She developed the ability to store songs in her brain, preserving every little detail, then she taught herself to reproduce those nuanced musical sounds, almost like speaking a language. Then her musical gift kicks in and she is able to add her own takes on the songs.
In your journey with Angelina, you’ll find out there are many rehearsal covers better than the original. 🌺

I did just that, I went and checked out Adele, I had never heard that song before. I was impressed with what Angelina had performed, more like shocked at the feeling I had experienced. My favorite singer does it again IMHO. Angelina is a force working her way slowly into the hearts of the world. Thumbs up again.
Her latest original, 7th Heaven, just came out with a live video version, as did MJ's Heal the World. Both in this same studio. Both brilliant.
No doubt in my mind you will say there are dozens of covers she completed which are far superior to the original. Angelina is a once in forever musical artist.
I have turned 180 degrees on my thought process concerning Republic Records. I have been critical of Republic for not promoting her first two singles. I now like to think Republic has given Angelina and her family what they desired and that is the freedom to create without interference AND allow Angelina to finish her schooling before having her career explode. We angels need to be patient and in the meantime, I will work harder at helping my neighbors which is so important to Angelina and her family. I will be requesting reactors to support a charity or find other ways to help those in need.

What's great with Angelina is the fact that she is here to entertain us with her voice. She doesn't need all the theatrics that most try to do to impress us , her voice is all she needs and most times , she doesn't have a ton of instruments accompanying her. The voice is the instrument.

Hey - you just made my day. Love your reactions to Angelina and you seem to have quickly got her spot on. I loved Adele and her music but I agree that this particular one is far better sung by AJ. People comment ( in some places ) and also friends tell me ( well they were friends !! lol 😉) that Adele has more passion and emotion because how can Angelina, a 15 year old girl with no real life experience. Most of her covers are better than the originals. The reason why is because she is able to connect with the emotions expressed in the song far better than most of the originals, making us feel those emotions. And let's not forget that even though it sounds like she went through those emotions, she couldnt possibly have due to her age (except the loss of her grandpa). When I was listening all I could think about was a time travel AJ Whitney duet. That would be epic.
More often than not Angelina does her home produced covers sitting down.
She has always had amazing breath control and can produce controlled power sitting down, no problems at all.
I would like to see her accompanying herself on the piano which, of course, would mean singing sitting down.

I'm a little late catching this one, but I'm glad I did - that was a very good reaction. Angelina has that warm velvety tone that differentiates her from Adele.
One thing you said really caught my attention - you asked "is she an empath?" - well I had the same thought, way back, then I bought her book - from her diary entries as a 6 year old she told the story as an 8/9 year old, it is there in black and white, the perfect description of empathy, she saw the world through the eyes of that poor street vendor, she was moved by the experience - this girl is not your average child, we are so lucky to have her in the world and that she shares her experiences with us!
