      I was surprised at its capabilities, I wonder how it will compare to my new CO2 Laser that's still I the box.

    One of the best things about your videos, apart from the information provided in a clear and unbiased manner, is your outright enthusiasm for what you are doing ... absolutely brilliant 👍
    Maybe one of these days I'll save up enough to buy one of these machines, but I'd need to start a business I think to make it worthwhile, otherwise it'd just be an expensive toy.

      Thank you. Yes if you can make some money on it makes more sense. Instead of investing into a branding iron for example you can use the laser for. Cutting out Christmas ornaments, personalising items for sale etc. There is few possibilities 👍

    I have the same laser when engraving an image I change my speeds, but the laser does not seem to move faster or slower. Can you give me advice on what to do. It’s only like that with an image.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  Месяц назад

      Try it 500mm/min and then 10000mm/min. You should see a difference. Most likely the speed will be affected more by dpi.

    I see many RUclipsrs doing laser, cnc’s etc and lightburn seems to be a main software but we never see anyone designing anything on it and showing how to get the image to the laser to cut/engrave it. May make a good video. Like the speed and feed charts you keep cutting out.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  8 месяцев назад

      I could do a video on that no problem 😊 I'll add it to my list of videos 👍
      I don't tend to make my designs in lightburn - I just add final touches in it like text. For 3d projects I tend to use sketchup/ Inkscape for vector projects. I'm more comfortable with those. Lightburn does give you a lot of options but still I find it limiting in some areas.

    Jak wysoko od materiału znajduje się laser podczas cięcia? w moim atomstacku jest problem przy krzywej sklejce, łapie ją i rusza cały projekt :/

    i think it's better to upgrade the entire machine, the difference in price it's marginal. and myself i "bought" the 30w version but the fellows from banggod didn't shipped to me, even this day my order it's still in process (two weeks already in procesing)... very bad services from their part

    Great bit of kit. Not sure if to pull the trigger but seeing that the UK is outside the EU I fear we could incur a 20% vat hike which kills the deal for me so It’s a no no.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  8 месяцев назад

      Yes that could be a problem unfortunately. You can drop them an email to check how they operate and if that is the case, maybe they have a warehouse in the UK. Longer is a biggish company

    By any chance you can cut a 12mm birch plywood? They all fail on that wood....

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  8 месяцев назад

      Hmm not sure birch ply is very dense. I don't even have a pice to test it out. I think I have a normal ply 12mm I could try if you want? If you do just drop me an email and I'll tell you the results. Otherwise I will forget 🤣

      I need to use the birch one for strength and design restrictions unfortunately but thanks for the answer@@CasualDIY

    With the cost of the module you are better off selling the existing B1 and buying a new 40w model.
    B1 30w is £700 new, B1 40w is £950.
    40w module on its own is £785.
    Sell the 30w for about £500, add £450 and you have a B1 40w and have saved over £300.
    Buying the upgrade makes no sense.

      Expensive? 36watt ikier k1 is the same price almost...
      For 48w laser this is very good price.

    Looking at their web site that have only lasers with square frames. Too small for any meaningful work. Spending additional money to have longer rails (And throwing away the short one?) make no sense because it is raising the price to acquire one unnecessarily ($150). This is like punishing consumer for doing business with them, They should wake up and stay up.
