These regions are mostly influenced by Cholas and Pandya kings of south india, who explored Malaya, java, Sumatra, combodia, lavos, Vietnam upto philippines. As per legendary chola Emporor married the Prince of these region, saint Kamboja married local naga prince Maya and her son became king & same was Khemar dynasty.
Champa kingdom and South Indian kings had matrimonial relationship with these regions. Pandya king must be married this Champa prince, so PON Nagar (gold city) (As per Dravidian languages- Tamil, Kannada, PON or Ponnu or Honnu are similar to call GOLD, the same is Suvarna in sanskrit )
As I observed temple, by looking at Temple architecture, its not similar to Dravidian style but it similar to Odissi style. Bcz in Dravidian style iif Shaiva temple- infront of Shiva, Nandi must be kept, if Vaishnav- Garuda pillar must be kept.
I think, Agama shastra experts from Archaeological Servey of India (Indian govt agency for conservation of monuments ASI ) is best people to do research on these issues.
    Thanks for sharing wonderful architecture.

I don't think the Vietnamese recognise or realise that it is a Hindu temple. Maybe the Hindu past has been forgotten.

I think it's only the top of the iceberg ( flood)
"Red bricks - some of the world's cheapest and most familiar building materials - can be converted into energy storage units that can be charged to hold electricity, like a battery, according to new research from Washington University in St. Louis."
    Atmospheric energy from Aether !
