I hope the Sgt actually reads these comments as he seemed very polite but understandably interested and concerned. Clearly he was fishing for information but at the same time he was friendly in his approach. Its really funny how different forces act so very differently in how they interact with you. Police: 9 times out of 10 they jump at you full attack. This instantly makes them look bad. Fire: 9 times out of 10 it looks like they want to just bring you inside and give you a cup of tea. Military seem very hit and miss. Some just want you to go away, others seem to want to have a chat.

The only place where "I arrived by parachute" phrase can't be used - at the parachute training regiment. They'd get you to prove it and take you up in a plane and throw you out and see if you can really parachute. :-)
Yet again a brilliant post and the guy in the glass box was a nice guy and understood what you were doing same with guy at the end... Happy to chat and gave lots of helpful information in a non intrusive way... top man the guy at the end... even gave a heads up on open days.... lots of respect to these guys and what they do... even if the people they doing it for are bad people... the soldiers are just trying to do the right thing.... I'm from a military family and know only to well what this world is like to live in as a kid growing up....

They aren't here to stop the uk getting invaded....They are being used to steal oil, diamonds, land and other assets for the elite....That's why the USA went into Vietnam, diamonds for the elite. Being from Aldershot the roads are definitely owned by the mod because they have rails with the council over how much the mod pay and how much the council pay. Even need mod permission to put diversion routes down that road at end with the Sargent

So let's cut them some slack, as I think AB did. The police do expect this as part of their roll and get the training to deal with the public and the law. Luckily we live in a country so tolerant. Can’t see too many Middle Eastern countries being so accommodating if you were filming their military establishments.

Aldershot Garrison was most probably held as the last memories of home for many, many young people who fought the spread of fascism in our world and paid with their lives. As a local, I give massive respect to our Serving soldiers and to AB for the genuine silent respect you paid to all those people today, alive and passed..

Unfortunately he passed away earlier that day after serving in iraq and tripped over an ied. Rest in peace, he will be missed.
