Very nice guitar and great video, and yes we've all had to sell gear for life's planned and unplanned events. 95% of gear financed a cross country move that included new furniture for the family. BTW... I still have too many guitars...lol...
Your talking about having to sell your guitars because of circumstances that happen. We all know how that goes!! And that's why we don't have 50 or 100 grand guitars now!! Ha Ha Ha!! It goes for other things too!!
I’ve been in similar situations self employed (I’m not self employed currently) where I’ve gotten rid of nice instruments for the good of my little family and the Lord always provides other great instruments. So glad you shared that detail. That 000 sounds so good. Seems like I would enjoy recording some hymns with a guitar built by him.
Love it! I have a soft spot for 00 guitars. I learned to play on a 1947 00-17 Martin that has been in the family a few generations. Two questions: What is the significance of the sheep head? What inspired the color of the top? Not a critique, I really like both choices. Just curious.
This is great. I had my dream guitar, a classical model, built by another Dutch wunderkind luthier, Steven den Toom. It was his 23rd guitar, built in 2022, when he was 25 years old. It is exactly what I wanted and the whole process, the whole conversation with him was an amazing experience. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
Love the old look and crisp sound. What a talented young man you are Rasmus. Use it well Jeremy.
Sides bent with a curling iron… 🤯🫡
You will go far, young man!
Great story. Seems like a lovely instrument. Congratulations to both Rasmus and you!
seems like we have some great guitarbuilders overhere in holland
Seems like a cool guitar. Don’t know if I’d have the stones to commission a guitar with a 17 year old and his 2nd build but what do I know

It’s like a very old Martin

I've always liked sheep imagery connected to being a Sheppard/shepherd. My nickname from high school was Jimmy Sheep so it's always been my motif
Makes total sense! Really makes the guitar unique and personal!
what is the small black circle pickup he's using at 4 :26
It's a tuner, it's on the bottom of the sound hole so you can see it when you look down, through the strings.
Wait is it mammoth ivory like the prehistoric extinct animal? Actual ivory from a mammoth? How do you even get that???
Yes. He got it from a vendor in Europe. It's certified to have come from an animal that's come out of the permafrost.
That is the coolest and most insane thing ever
Heads up, knife builders often have cuts of it they can’t use in a knife build and will sell it reasonably priced
