I got a 2019 Street Bob with a stage 1, setup with some MX bars, 6 inch risers, Saddlemen seat, and a 13.5 inch rear shock to lift the rear for extra clearance. My bike is setup to be a shredder and I can honestly say, I have had way more fun on my Harley than I did on my Rebel. The way my bike is setup along with the sick torque, it almost completes everything what I look for in the way I ride. Im a guy who enjoys more on the low end than the high end.
I’m not surprised that you came to that conclusion because stock Harleys are rarely ever kept stock because they suck most of the time. The one thing I miss about the rebel is how much lighter it was but that’s about it. I’m 25 years old.

The 107 m8 street Bob is so good for around town and occasional freeway hopping. Plenty of torque but really nimble for what it is! I did think about trading it in for a LRS but I find it overkill for how I ride daily. I rarely ever do long trips or commute far with my Bob so I didn’t find what the LRS offered was necessary. I bought a 2021 on a whim, like not had a bike in 13 years and that was a CBR150, then this, its insane power has no comparison, i'm not talking power ranger bike power 200mph 200 bhp stuff, im talking out right grunt at 28mph and still pulls in 6th gear, its so forgiving and wow the grin factor and looks you get, now more since stage one and V&H mini grenades are on. I totally get you though if you have not been into this style and got used to power ranger bikes which will give a grin factor on the edge style grin, i personally get to 85mph then i'm done, its the enjoyment of the ride for me, even at 40mph behind some slow driver, i just enjoy the motorised meditation that comes with it. Good video and some valid points keep it up, stay safe and enjoy the moment on 2 wheels. I also have a Ducati Monster 937 2022 which is rumbly and gets hot near legs in summer and the 2022 Yamaha XSR900 which is way smoother than Ducati also just feels nicer except the harder seat and tight turn circle but they kick arse, good fun and brutal if you want, but if i'm honest the Harley has real soul power torque & comfort, different strokes for different folks, or have 2-3 different bikes so you can chose your moment and set off in whatever floats ya boat.

I've come from a history of riding sports bikes and Sumo's (CBR600FX, two R1's, Fireblade and a DRZ400SM) and went onto a modern classic T100 Triumph and decided to try something totally different on Monday by picking up a Street Bob 107. Got to be honest, I'm loving it so far! A lot of people seem to complain about the stock seat but it felt absolutely fine for me at 6ft 2 tall and with the Vance and Hines and Stage 1 tune it pulls so nicely, I never feel lacking in power at all and was actually surprised by how well it manoeuvres on the backroads.

The bike isn't a couch on wheels especially when cutting corners on twisted roads, change out the stock mufflers and now you got something to get your "juices" flowing and it can do it with a 60lb sea bag full of gear for moto camping and still be able to do 110mph ( I have the new 114 with 14,000 miles on it. Also it's supposed to be bare bones it was supposed to be a bobber off the factory floor. And if you play with the buttons more you'll see the bike tells you a lot more info in a very minimalistic screen.

So there may be something to be said for your comment about it being an "old man's" bike. These days, it's better for me to simply enjoy the ride more than it is to push the line. Harley's comfort and torque are a big plus.
Regarding the clunk that you hear, I consider it a benefit. Really like that mechanical feedback from the Bob. The same goes for the higher foot shifter. It's more likely to avoid accidental shifting. I consider them pluses.

The street bob def has the looks and from what you say regarding power, it doesn’t bother me. However for me the make or break is the heat coming off that engine, I have a rebel 500, the only time I have felt any heat coming off that bike is when I leave it on neutral as I park it. How bad is the street bob heat when at a stop light?

Different strokes for different folks. You didn't love it. That's cool. But then again, you did just come off the sportster 1250S. I have both and they are radically different bikes. The 1250S is an absolute terror, the street bob is a thug. An MMA fighter vs. a pugilist. Also two things, the street bob stock exhaust is Waaaaaay too quiet. A set of slip ons is mandatory. Second, it does have a tach. You hit the mode switch and it scrolls the data display to different things.

I drove a 2021 white one and it instantly became my dream bike. Absolutely my favorite Harley in the modern lineup by far. Stonewash White is the color I just wish it had the black annihilater rims like the other color options have. Also the bike was very quick to me but im used to driving a stage 1 Iron 883 which I feel is pretty quick for its size and love it. But the street bob felt signifcantly more powerful. Also the one I test rode had cobra slip ons and sounded great although my Iron sounds better to me. Sound really does contribute a large portion of the experience for me and stock just is too quiet to add much to the overall experience of riding a Harley. It's partly why ive been so content with my Iron 883 cuz its plemty of power and very torquey low end with beautiful sound and looks so sweet but obviously it isnt the quickest bike by far. But I like to cruise back roads and mountains so 0-80 in a stage 1 Iron is very satisfying but the Street Bob has alot more and can be much more comfortable on highways than the Iron which is tolerable but not for enjoyable on a highway. Im hoping to get that white 21 Street Bob after next season if I can afford it but if economy stays like this and costs of everything remains double than there is no future for me owning that Street Bob cuz my wages are not rising with the rise of energy and goods and insurance etc.

If you wanted to see your rpms you should of pressed the button above the horn. Got rpms, trip a/b, clock etc etc lol wish I was there to tell you, bugging me haha. Great review, I own a 2020 softail standard which is basically the same besides not being blacked out and have the 107 instead of the 114. A lot of people who ride a harley with the 107/114 said the 107 feels quicker or more twitchy on the throttle. Probably because of the gearing. I got my license in 2019 I think yeah and my first bike was a 2019 HD iron 1200 which i got from that same dealer, then I traded in for the 2020 softail standard, got my standard before they announced they were putting the 114 into the street bobs instead of the 107 but I kinda figured they'd do that. I guess since you've ridden much faster bikes I don't really have anything to compare because I've literally only rode 2 Harleys lol but my standard feels real quick to me. I've got my standard built into the "club style" look. Pull back risers with some dirt bike handlebars shorty levers from 1fngr and a stainless steel 2-1 bassani road rage shorty exhaust with a saddlemen step up of course. Wanna get some legends suspension front/rear for some better ground clearance. Once my warranty is up I'll probably do some engine stuff

I think you may be right in your thoughts and feelings about the bike. I feel cramped too in that stock form; I dont like that seat; not enought padded for the price. I don't like the air filter case touching my right leg. My stomach gets compressed; I can't antecipate a bump in the road; no way to lift the ass; knees are too high. I feel I should lack seat mobility in a longer trip. I feel too exposed to air; the arms in the air and projected at shouder level (although mirrors may be in a good position) makes me uncomfortable. A Harley is not cheap in Europe; must i spend even more in acessoires so that it fits me if there are in the market some other bikes fitting me? No. Besides the tank has reduced capacity; I enjoy going far. I'm old ; on the 70's ( 5.10").I don't complain about power nor torque, but It's not the bike, due to ergonomic and functional issues. And I ride bikes since 1968.

I differ on the engine though. I think it's plenty spunky for what it is and I like to ride smoothly. Being smooth is being quick. The HD has great fueling and plenty of low end power to enjoy pulling it out of corners. I can understand that it isn't the shiz for stop light bandits though.

It's why the air-cooled Sportster died, couldn't be sold in the EU. Ferraris don't even sound like a Ferrari anymore with the mandatory particle filter.
Just for reference, the Camaro ZL1 1LE doesn't pass EU laws because of the front splitter. They say it's too high and can seriously injure someone's leg. Land of the Free has to cater to the EU and Biden's fear of Greta Thunberg.
