Now that I have owned a few of these G 425 hybrids for a bit I gotta say I really like the feel of the way the ball comes off of them. Ping did a tremendous job on these.
Yes. 11 months have passed since this video. High handicapped golfer here who was playing dire golf but was introduced to the g425 clubs this month. With a very slow swing speed, I eventually got the driver in the 12 degree loft plus half a degree added and the 3 hybrid plus one degree added. I can now say that I am now playing an average game of bogies each hole. Can't wait to get fitted for the 425 irons soon!!!!
I’m currently carrying the 2 hybrid lofted down to 15.5* (replaces my 3 wood) and the 3 hybrid lofted at 19* (replaces my 3 iron and/or 5 wood), both at 41” long. With this setup I don’t lose any distance and have more solid strikes. Have always liked the fact that PING woods and hybrids have such shallow faces and flat bottoms for tight lies. 👍🏻 Keep up the good reviews and congratulations on lockdowns ending!
Nice review Andrew. Always love your work! I recently updated my woods in this series. I purchased 5 & 7 G 425 Max Woods. Gosh they look awesome and hit well too. Hybrid or Woods Ping did a fine job on this series. Best wishes from the states as always Andrew! Joe

@@josephdubiel7129 Howdy Spider, I'm struggling with my arthritic hands at the moment so have changed all my clubs to Jumbomax Grips. So far it seems to be helping, apart from that I'm good thanks, hows you doing?
The truth: “turbulators” made no difference to clubhead speeds and put some people off the clubs. They’ve hung around on the driver more as an alignment aid. Great review. Nice clubs
Nice review. I'll be in the market for new hybrids/fairways after I get new irons this summer and know what my gaps are. G425 definitely on the short list based on this and other reviews - they look great and seem to perform really well.
I love your reviews, you just get to the point. 7 hdcp here and I just bought the 6 hybrid. My iron swing speed is not very high around 70-75mph so I got the regular flex. My driver swingspeed is around 85-95 and I use stiff shafts in my driver,3 wood, and irons. Regular/low torque shafts in my 5,7, and 9 woods. I got the Alta 70 gram ping shaft in R flex. I have not hit it yet. Do you think the torgue numbers are low enough? What is a better shaft with low torque numbers that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Thank You

The G425 iron is one of the very best at the moment.

Hi, think you need to hit the reg flex, see how it feels, is the shot pattern, trajectory to your liking then go from there.

Hi Peter np more expensive than the Callaway, Taylor Made or Titleist. Great Hybrid, worth a try.
Ping says the wrap around face takes care of the air flow, making turbulators unnecessary.
