You can hear other guitars sustaining when Mick is hitting the whammy bar at the ends of phrases. Then if you look at 3:27 Mick is just playing the pedal on the A string even though you hear the chorus riff. His left hand is adjusting something around his face...yet there is the riff (Which is a series of 4ths on the D and G Strings).

mick is a cool dude, he has alot of ties to terre haute Indiana and visits often " well used to" and I saw him often. just a laid back dude that you wouldnt think had much money, hes incredibly Ill though and it's kinda sad, but he soldiers on...hes a great guy.
Mr. Mars is absolutely brilliant, can't believe he's still around, disease and all. The man rocks harder than most... and that full sound with only one git is amazing. Very very underrated player. I'd say no other player could carry this band. Looking forward to see him on tour this year
Fucking A ....im 62 and the dude still kicks ass playing ....fucking amazing guitar player. I met Tommy and P.A. once in Malibu ...they come riding up to Paradise Cove where a group of us was eating lunch. Both were wasted drunk...Tommy gave me his autograph signed on the cocktail napkin. When they left he fell over trying to start a yellow Harley chopper....and two of us helped him get the bike up.....and hold it till he got it started. What a dude.
At 70, I'm more of a Jeff Beck fan - but these guys just played at the NFL draft here in Kansas City, MO (my home turf) a couple of weeks ago and I was curious to see their show. Lo and behold, I discovered John 5 (John Lowery). Holy cow! I have to say, I had NEVER heard of him before and I have to say, he acquitted himself quite well - precise, effortless, spot on and definitely can shred. Pleasant surprise to find new artists! Super humble, modest and has some great stories. I daresay he is more than capable of shouldering the load. His best advice to ANY guitarist? Play what you love.
If everyone believes Mick is underrated, that defeats the purpose of something or someone being underrated because everyone acknowledges and loves Mick's guitar playing. That makes him very well known and well appointed. I consider him one of the king guitarists of our world. Even when crue would make a bad song, mick's guitar playing would always make it better.
As a person with permanently disabling spinal disease I get what it must take for Mick to get up there and. Just kill it every show!!!!!. I do not know how he can do it??? He has one hell of a love of his music to make it on stage each night. I am amazed by his fortitude!!! He is the the one and only lead guitarist of Motley Çrew! We all love you Mick. I don't have a situation quite as bad, but it will dam sure keep you down, limited activites only, unless you want to try and break through the pain, which is not going to happen, even with medicine! I have to keep myself from being a recluse, I just suffer the pain. I have to plan everything I do to make sure my main objective happens, then count on 2 to 3 days in bed recovering! It really sucks, my brother is in the same condition, hereditary, just like Mick's condition which is "by medical statements" is worse vs. what I have. I am amazed Mick was able to tour for 18 months. It's has to be a major PIA just to get on stage! Plus have his guitar strapped to his shoulder for several hours. I don't care if he was on meds, when the Sciatic Nerve is involved, no med's work!!!! I am posting so maybe I can learn something, plus Mick is an inspiration to me, and I am damn proud he finished the tour! His condition is one reason the band signed the contract making it their last tour, ever! I believe also Mick is in his upper 60's. I am pretty sure he is the oldest in the group! I can't imagine living with his disease since he was a teenager, he might have been in grade school, but it definetly was diagnosed during his school years. I have studied up on it a little just trying to understand my condition and his! Hereditary diseases SUCKS!

Watch Mick only use his left hand sliding up the neck while his right hand is not yet there is audible strumming by a rythm guitar playing chugging palm muting chords. Vince actually sounds amazing notwithstanding the enunciation. Mars is just a "god" on the lead/rhythm. He sounds like a "wall" of guitars. Sixx and Tommy Lee ( love your snare sound!!! Always have!!) are solid as always. Great bad, great sound...amazing band. The last concert at the Staples Center 2015/16 "The End" is just an amazing showcase of what these guys were all about. They'd put their contemporaries to shame on every level.... To me Vince sings like he's never done since I saw them in 1989. Just breathtaking....for all the years and successes.....they are rock icons!!!! Want to hear "embarrassment"? Listen to DLR and Van Halen post-Sammy Hagar.....

I got rescheduled tickets for The Stadium Tour tour for 2021 in Cincinnati, Cleveland Ohio and one has a meet & greet! I still hope it happens and if it’s pushed to the fall or next year I’ll just keep my seats and go when it happens! Mick is an absolute guitar legend! Just try to play them riffs, it ain’t that easy! A single guitarist pulls the band along with such a strong presence! Vince actually sounds amazing notwithstanding the enunciation. Mars is just a "god" on the lead/rhythm. He sounds like a "wall" of guitars. Sixx and Tommy Lee ( love your snare sound!!! Always have!!) are solid as always. Great bad, great sound...amazing band. The last concert at the Staples Center 2015/16 "The End" is just an amazing showcase of what these guys were all about. They'd put their contemporaries to shame on every level.... To me Vince sings like he's never done since I saw them in 1989. Just breathtaking....for all the years and successes.....they are rock icons!!!! Want to hear "embarrassment"? Listen to DLR and Van Halen post-Sammy Hagar.....

I love ❤️ Motley Crue and there music 🎶 and when I see them live I want to Nikki, Tommy, Vince & Mick, they are Motley Crue, the band is so tight and they sounds just amazing and I’am not going to pile on Vince here, of course what I hope for Vince is for him to get healthy and in better shape for himself so he can be here a long time with his family and his friends and all the fans that love ❤️ him! I got rescheduled tickets for The Stadium Tour tour for 2021 in Cincinnati, Cleveland Ohio and one has a meet & greet! I still hope it happens and if it’s pushed to the fall or next year I’ll just keep my seats and go when it happens! It’s still a great line up for this tour and still going to have a lot of fun, even if Vince ain’t perfect, I really hope he gets healthier, I think his fan’s would love to see him that way and sound at his best!🤟🥰
Mick is an absolute guitar legend! Just try to play them riffs, it ain’t that easy! A single guitarist pulls the band along with such a strong presence! Comparable to Mal Young, James Hetfield, same level of a guitar God. Yet...as said here, sooo under-rated! God bless u Mick, you made so many people so happy and you are a rock legend!
