Hi Tacktishion! As stated in the descriptions of my videos, I only produce videos for beginners or hobby machinists. Sorry to see you go, be safe and happy machining. Marc
Unnecessarily rude Tack and presumptuous to speak for other RUclips watchers. I'm a fairly accomplished hobby machinist and find Marc's videos both entertaining and informative. For example, we can all learn something about good manners from Marc's reply to you.
Haha! Lets subscribe to HUSTLEBUSTLECNCTIMELAPSE! I guess machining just is agonizingly slow, sad fact? ... more than a year, V-block not even started ... ruclips.net/video/HQJWIyDCx4E/видео.html Justin Bieber vs. Selena Gomez and Cats vs Dinosaur are to advanced for my little brain, so I have to stick with basic elementary level.
Another good instructional video. Thank You Marc. Ignore the Trolls - even for us guys that have been doing it for a while - can learn something. Please keep the videos coming.
I am from Pakistan I need details about cast iron propertys and benefits of different types of cast iron . I want now about which type of cast iron for flywheel of truck and finger part and also for breaking dram and disks
Really glad to see you posting again. Your videos are always so informative and helpful for those of us who are trying to advance our skills to a higher level.
So pleased to see you back and well. Always enjoyed your videos when I started out on hobby machining - I continue you gain much from my viewing - always a good tip or 2 or 3. My grateful appreciation with very best wishes from Fleet in the UK.
It did something like that for my dad but a rotary disk with for drill guides made from harden bolts with different size holes. He designed it and I just made it as he asked. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Marc, good to hear from you!! Good stuff in your video, always. What do you think about this sequence, if using the lathe: 1. Hold in the 4 jaw 2. roughly center by eye 3. face 4. remove the part, and hold it in the 4 jaw with the other end protruding 5. center the part properly 6. center drill 7. drill with the larger drill to depth 8. drill with the smaller drill all the way through 9. deburr everything Take care dear Marc, and please find some more time in the shop, and keep the camera recording... :)
Some explanations are required to answer properly so I will produce a short video on the subject, hopefully today or tomorrow. Thanks for a great question, thanks for watching and be safe. Marc
Sir, I'm so glad you're continuing to publish machining/fabrication videos. You do such a great job of explaining various concepts (that are often daunting to grasp). There is always something new to learn when watching your videos. Thank you for continuing to share your extensive knowledge and experience!
On the lathe, couldn’t you drill the small hole all the way through the part then drill the large hole from the same end. Then when you turn the part around you can face it off without having to have it perfectly centered?

Agonizingly slow.... Your videos are waaaay too elementary for most RUclips watchers... Bye, Bye.... Unsubscribed!!!!

@@THATLAZYMACHINIST Your videos are much appreciated by a large number of viewers. Please don't let the rude and ungrateful people get you down.
Many You Tube watchers need an elementary instruction. I personally don't but I still watch the videos and sometimes do get a good tip.

Those were some simple but ingenious and functional set up techniques. Thank you so much for the tips!

Aslam o alikum sir
Good to see you! Happy New Year. I like the drill press tick. Is the Vee-block one that you made? I like it functionality.
Hello Marc,
Really good video... Very good usage of the Vee-Block...
Take care.
Paul,,
Thanks for the tip, I have 5 drill presses that I rebuilt and going to put jigs on all of them
Take that spanner of the table,
Hey rattle gone. 😀😀🤔
Great lessons and use of a V block....enjoyed
Love yah Mark , gotta get back to watching EDUCATIONAL videos :)
Great video as always! Enjoyed the honest professionalism in the 3rd example. Interested in the V-Block you used, looks like a shop project.
Very nicely done... Good tips. Thanks for sharing, I do enjoy your videos and tips...

Very simple solution to stock binding at the saw stop, never thought of it, Thanks
Nice to see a video showing different ways to do the same job... but that's not very lazy. :)
Thanks for some ideas. You have given me a plan for a few new projects to get me through the lockdown. 👍
Marc, great tips , even for the somewhat experienced - every day is a school day in my shop
Now we will learn how to drill a hole in the center using the horizontal band saw... :D Wish I had seen this one several years ago.
Merci encore pour votre générosité. Santé et heureuse année 2021.
