Ever since those shit managers left our team we have been rebuilding out of a textbook, Chicago will eventually succeed through their youth and Kyle Davidson knows that. With good drafting and development we could easily become a contender, just give it time.
Finally someone understands that this team needs patience. Half of this hawks fanbase have been complaining about every single thing that KD did wrong. We will be back in the playoffs but it’s going to be tough for the next few years. Bedard will be a Blackhawk for his entire career. Our prospect pool is so much better than before. I’m so confident that this rebuild will be successful.
True, but Toronto having Ballard as owner nullified any chance of a competitive team for 20+ years. Even Stavros wasn't a big spender, so all that time the cap free advantage was never really utilized.
The last time Bedard won a league championship was back when he was 14 playing with west van lol, he’ll be fine sticking with the hawks until they are contenders.
That really depends if progress is made during that time or not. The human brain is still developing until 25 years of age. If during the 18-25 years of age no forward progress is made (think decade of darkness for the Edmonton Oilers), it can have a lasting and negative impact on the psychological make up of the player to just not work as hard because it doesn't matter.

Just remember: a recent fellow number 1 pick, this guy named Nate MacKinnon-you might know him-basically said the same thing. And then they won the Stanley Cup. A pissed off superstar is a thing to fear. Also, trading away Panarin and Hagel was the stupidest fucking thing in NHL history in terms of what they got back.
MacKinnon is faster and way more talented than Bedard. What a terrible comparison. You know the reason why analysts don’t talk about Bedard’s speed? It’s not there. He’s a below average skater. A lot of analysts have changed their mind from using the word generational after a couple of months seeing Bedard play. Why do you think that is?
@ yeah I know, but they could’ve made room ELSEWHERE. They should’ve kept Panarin. He’s overrated as an actual goal scorer but he’s good at everything. He’s great 2 way, he gets a lot of assists; they shoulda found a way to keep him.
As a Capitals fan, I'm really excited that on top of our current group of players, we have Leonard and Cristall coming up next season to join the team (likely meaning that Mangiapane is gone after this season). If Strome, McMichael, Protas, Dubois, Roy, Chychrun, Sandin, and Fehervary continue to be solid players, and guys like Miroshnichenko, Leonard, Cristall, Parascak, Hutson, etc. mostly pan out (and maybe even Lapierre), the Capitals will be able to achieve the extremely difficult feat of retooling and staying a good team during Ovechkin's last season (next season), and beyond, without ever having to tank for a lottery pick. We just need to figure out our goalie situation long term, and we need to see if we can keep Chychrun. It's really difficult to do this. Almost all of the top teams had to go through some rough years to get a good young core, and the Capitals might manage to do it with just a #8 overall pick (Leonard) after one bad (but not horrible) season, and bouncing right back into the playoffs the following season.
I will never leave a lime Rob! Nor will I ever do something stupid like leave a comment to support your channel and the algorithm.. pfft, these West coast Canadians!
Anyone who thinks this season is over for the hawks isn’t watching them. Every game bar 2 was a 1 goal game and even those that weren’t were close. Also they only have 1 goalie while the other can’t save a thing yet they still win even with him. They definitely still have playoff hopes. Also good job only talking about last season.
Playoffs maybe....maybe next season. This season? Just not happening. This is from a Jets fan. A fan that saw everyone expect the Jets to be trash last season, but I knew otherwise. This time? Nah. They're right. Blackhawks won't sniff the playoff bubble this season.
The Hawks need a coaching change. I've never seen a team when on defense they collapse so much yet never cover anyone, free shoots from the point all game long and never clear the crease. Puck watching, puck chasing, bad passing and why the hell is Bedard on the point on the power play?! He needs to be in the high scoring areas where his shoot is most effective, not down low as he's not a greasy goal scorer. So many times he's in the offense zone with or with out the puck a skates right to a teammate who either has the puck them self's or he should be passing too. The system is not bad it's horrible.
Luke has to go. He’s not gotten enough from the players. There’s no effort during games. Players seem uninterested in winning and if Richardson can’t fix this team and have them at least good enough to play hard every game. Then he has to be fired.
Oh great, que the: "Bedard to the Leafs for Marner & 3rd" rumors... Bedard has been fine and well on his way to becoming as advertised... I don't see anything concerning at all... Bedard is the real deal.. He could work on his faceoffs but other than that he's been a treat to watch and he's only going to get better.... BTW, the kid put up 3 assists vs the Ducks the other night.. As a Hawks fan and lifelong hockey fan of the last 45 years - serious question - what do you want the kid to say?? Bedard is on the way to being among the new faces of the league - and almost-certain next captain of the Hawks - yet the kid being "frustrated" indicates something?? I'm sure he is frustrated, who wouldn't be?? no one is happy after a loss... I mean, what do you want him to say?: "yea, we're going to suck for a while - but in order to be good you have to be really bad first - so please be realistic with your expectations"?? Look, outside of honesty - what message is that, what player would EVER say that - let alone - the face of your franchise??..

Kane's and Toews are gone because they needed to clear any leadership out of the locker room for the "Bedard Era" . Simple as that. You want a Cup in Chicago? Kane HAD to be gone. (5-7 years....its in the process....). Also, could you imagine the defensive liability with Kane Debrincat and Bedard? It's why Detroit will miss the playoffs and Kane will ask out by mid March.
@@adventurefilms I’m not imagining that because I don’t care about the oilers or the leafs. Bedard will have that opportunity to play with but it’s going to take time. Plus it’s his second season and overall he’s very talented enough that he can create scoring chances by himself.
As a hawks fan this is a really good assessment of what is going on/where we are in the rebuild. No one on the other team is concerned with anyone but Bedard and you can see bedard adjusting his game to that fact. He has been generating a lot of rush chance and seems to be consciously prioritizing that because if he isn’t the one making the zone entry the opponent is making sure he has no space. On the few occasions he does get some space his team mates aren’t good enough to be in the position to get him the puck. He isn’t getting the chance to shoot as often as you would like because of this and is falling back on his playmaking to compensate. Ultimately, we still need more elite forward talent before we can compete. Frank Nazar has promise and has been producing very well in the AHL, but the rest of or forward prospect pool we have a lot of Middle 6 type prospects. The good news? We will very likely be finding that top6/first line forward prospect in this years draft. With the excess of middle six prospects we have the ability to trade our way to top 6 help in the next few seasons. And Chicago seems to be a attractive FA destination due to the history/facilities and city. We have a lot of advantages as a historic team in a major market, that other franchises would kill for. We should not let those go to waste, but I think we also need to be realistic with this rebuild timeline. They were never going to be a cup contender in year 3 of a full rebuild. Next year we should at least be setting a goal for playoffs and that is something to look forward to
I don’t think bedard should be talked about like MCDAVID or Crosby… he’s a rookie, and the hype is/should be dead around bedard until he proves himself
I don’t think the hype should die but I think the expectation should. Fans and media should not expect Bedard to win a cup in a few years. He’s his own player. We can’t compare him to any other 1st overall player because he’s not on a good team yet and he has not played at his peak yet.
Idk about bedard, but id be bummed with the team I was drafted to. That trade history is hilarious. Personally I’d want out but I feel like stars always stay with their draft teams till muchhhhh later
Not to be that guy but… a dynasty is widely considered 3 cups within a certain period of time/ with the same core. The only teams in the past 30 years that are dynasties are the Blackhawks and Red Wings. LA, Tampa, Pittsburg etc are not because they have only won 2
Look at it like this: Crosby had Malkin Kane had Toews Chicago made a HUGE fumble not taking Demidov. They could have picked him, let him play another year in Russia, and have another top 3 pick that they could have used to take a defenseman next years draft. I could be wrong, but I don't think the Hawks will get a better player at this upcoming draft than Demidov.
Bedard is also way smaller than those other big 4 (OV, Sid, CM, AM). He needs to grow, and grow a lot or he will get pushed around his whole career and probably risk a lot more injuries.
Kane, Debrincat. Marchand, Marchessault, the late Johnny Gaudreau....all considered small and most under 5'10" . The game is still made for the small guy...they just have to stay feisty. None of these guys gets pushed around and a guy like Marchand even does the pushing around. also 'a lot more injuries..." He had a broken jaw, skated himself off the ice, and probably would have had his skates on the next day....he did have them on in a week. Bedard is far from as 'soft' as you want to make him. Maybe watch a few more Blackhawks games. Bedard has already had a couple of scrums....He also has Sids, hockey IQ, McDavids moves, and AM34's quick unorthodox release. Give credit where it's due...

Bedard is a great players but i'm no where near sold on him as a generational player
Maybe Bedard can take inspiration from that player who people called a generational talent, but only got to taste playoff hockey ONCE with his team during his first SIX years in the league. After that, said team not only became a mainstay of the playoffs for ages but might also have won a "few' cups if memory serves... The kid was a Québecois named Mario or something, I think... Who the kid was isn't important; I mean, it's not like he became known as the most talented hockey player of all time, even by the Great One's own admission, or some shit like that :P ... All jokes aside, hockey players are smart kids nowadays, Bedard knows full well that it will be a long rebuild. It doesn't mean that he won't say it like it is in the meantime. I don't think it is "impatience" toward the rebuilding process of his team, it's just wanting to win like any of his peers in the league, and saying what any other player top player and leader would say, no? Still, I think the Blackhawks should give his line better support (like a Toffoli or two), have proven 2 way center guy on a second line (e.g. a Danault type guy) to help remove some of the pressure on the first line, etc. Otherwise the kid might not have a body anymore in 5 years... I am the farthest thing from a Hawks fan that one can be (they should rot for a long long time imho; no need to elaborate as to why I don't think), but any ACTUAL fan of the SPORT of hockey should wish success for the future star players of this league in general; It's them that will keep our sport alive for yet another generation.
When Mario entered the league, he was a top three to top five player. Bedard’s not even a top 10 player. Just stop. When Mario played, there was NEVER another big man with soft hands that could skate and deke like that. There is NOTHING that makes Bedard number 1 in any skill set in todays league. @@ojibwe_86 Hmm. Bedard doesn't even appear on the radar; almost ALL teams have AT LEAST one player that's better than him right now, including rebuilding teams lol. I mean wtf are you even referring to? Have you seen what the video is about? It's about the difficulties, for star players in particular, to stay patient during a rebuild. That's the point I made : if FREAKING LEMIEUX managed to be patient playing for a rebuilding team, no other player in similar shoes should get over themselves (doesn't mean it's not normal to be frustrated; all hockey players would). Either you didn't read my comment, have reading issues, and/or worst, can't understand the simplest of context cues kid...
Being punished for drafting and developing well is the biggest crime in sports. There should be some sort of protection / subsidy involved when it comes to these types of players in an organization to reward teams for drafting and developing well, not punishing them by forcing them to have to trade or let go of players because they priced themselves out.
Bedard really needs another top top player on the team. MacKinnon, Rantanen, and Makar; McDavid and Drai, Crosby and Maklin, Kucherov, Stamkos, and Hedman as recent examples.
Part of the reason the Kings were able to rebuild so quickly was some good fortune. A couple of times they got top 5 picks jumping ahead of some awful teams. Also, the fact that Anze Kopitar still plays at a high level. Because Villardi, Dubois, and Trucotte (somewhat) hasn’t panned out. If Kopitar had regressed passed 34 as expected, Kings would be a completely different team. Forcing Byfield or Turcotte to play 1C or 2C right out of the gate. I still think the Kings won’t contend for the Cup until Byfield, Clarke, and Portillo become the core of the Kings
I know Chicago was still rebuilding and bad but I expected them to at least try and get a wild card team put together as soon as they drafted him. I can’t find a reason why they decided to just do nothing special after getting him
I would be so happy that they made the wild card last year and this year. However this rebuild can’t be rushed. If they stay patient and keep drafting players they can be a competitive team for a long time.
Toews had to have at least 2 other HOF players(Kane & Hossa) on his team to win his first Cup in year 3. Bedard has a loooong road ahead of him unless they sign top notch free agents or trade for great players. Crosby and Malkin agreeing to get traded there would help…
As a former Hawks fan who now despises this team, I hope they lose Bedard. There was a time when I would have been over the moon to see the Blackhawks acquire this kind of talent, but now I hope that he requests a trade.
Sid started to play with Lemieux even though he was already at the end of his career, but he could still learn from him.The Kings won the Cup in 2012 with the acquiring of former Flyers(Richards, Carter, Gagne). The Hawks were rebuilding since 2003 till they won their first in 2010. Bedard will have to go through some pain like Sid and McDavid when they started out.
Crosby doesn't belong in this discussion. That roster in his second season (when he first made playoffs) was quite good. Miles better spot than the Hawks right now.
@SpookyGuyRL Exactly. Who can Bedard learn from? Toews and Kane aren't there anymore. The Pens back in 05-06 and 06-07 had a lot of veteran and young prospects on the roster.
Bedard comes across as a bit spoiled from what I've seen. He loses his composure and whines on the ice frequently. I have a bad feeling his ego is so large that this could break him
Too much money and not enough heart. These guys (owners and players) are overpaid and don't appreciate what they have. Sid makes his money and still remains team friendly, but than you get guys like Swayman who think they are worth record breaking contracts that only hurt the team and their legacy.
If there’s anything I’m taking away from this video, its that the panthers are set up very nicely to stay relevant for years to come after the majority of the team took cap friendly 8 year deals this offseason
if there was no salary cap then the Chicago Blackhawks would have won all the stanley cups from 2010-2020. Imagine never losing Panarin, Saad in his prime, Sharp, Laad, Debrincat, Buff, Brad Richards, Tuevo, Hjarlmassen, Leddy, and a host of other depth players that are still in the NHL playing decently. ***I listed all of this before you posted your Blackhawks breakdown lol.***
The fact of a rebuild that few people seem to consider is how much losing sucks. Buffalo is probably the best example of the worst case scenario. That team has had plenty of strong rosters, just they've been so beaten down by years of losing that the players get dragged down or gtfo. Even Tage Thompson went from 94 points down to 56 while only missing 7 more games, that sort of crap wears on people more than we like to admit. At least Tage sems back in form so far this year though.
Bedard and the Blackhawks will be more than fine. That team has a wicked deep talent pool, probably top 5 in the league. They'll be a big problem for everyone in 4-5 years.
Fun fact: I actually hated that Brandon Saad trade when it happened because he had been imo THE guy for Columbus, I'm glad i was wrong though.. even if we only had bread for like 2 years, he was phenomenal in Columbus.
As a Blues fan, I was ecstatic to see Bowman take over as GM in Edmonton. We're ready to trade him Saad for McDavid. History tells us he might even throw in couple draft picks & retain half of McDavid's salary. We might take Draissaitl but Bowman will probably have to cough up a 1st.
Crosby had Malkin, McDavid had Draisaitl. Bedard needs a second line center of a similar caliber to compliment his game/ give teams something else to worry about
Good take on the Kings . Culture and leadership builds contenders . If not for Chi i think they could have won 4 Cups . I feel for Bedard but thats the nature of the business now .
He also wanted no part in being traded to Kamloops/Kelowna to contend for the Mem. Cup. Would have rather played in the play-offs with the Pats, says a lot about his character imo..
@@greasygod93 I'm almost positive Danny Wirtz has done something extremely similar for his family in his short time in CHI. Big money will talk and create loyalty. This league is a business after all..
Would you add the caps to that dynasty? I know at their peak they were eliminated early, but for many years there they were eastern conference/president trophy winners.... Some how they have managed to stay sort of relative many years after their peak 2008-09 dream team
I'm an Isles fan so I know plenty about losing frustration lol and as much as Id love to see the Isles tank this season (with Barzal, DuClair and Pelech hurt) just to compete with San Jose to get Hagens as the #1 - Id also LOVE to see Hagens and Bedard on the same team for 10years....so Im rooting against Chicago all season to make that a reality. That could end up being one of the best duo's in NHL history.
This is what buffalo has been doing to players the whole playoff drought. I hate it as a buffalo fan, but we keep losing players that win the cup after getting out of buffalo
We need to get rid of the salary cap the teams from the 90s were awesome! NHL should do what baseball does and make teams that pay above the cap pay a tax that helps out the smaller markets.
I wanted Columbus to draft Bedard, they at least have a potentially bright future, where the hawks are just gonna be garbage for the next while. I would have loved to have seen Gaudreau and Bedard playing together, I think they would have made a killer line. I guess ultimately it wouldn't have worked out either with Johnny's death (RIP).
The Oilers traded away 2 firsts to get Ekholm which was one of the best trades in franchise History. Not quite "keeping picks and drafting bust players"
Of all the players Chicago traded away, only Hagel is still with the team the Hawks traded him to. And on the right side of the graph are a lot of good young players now in Rockford, Chicago's AHL team. And Bedard is just under a point a game right now.
I guess the stories moral can be summoned this way : It's better to be a very good team but lose to the Cup (at least you keep your team intact) Than to win the Cup but ( to after lose almost all your players) cause they become too expensive to manage.

Edmonton sucked first 6 season with Mcdavid in Playoffs.
He’s been expressing his frustration on missed play opportunities…love the channel but this one’s a stretch in regards to “breaking Bedard”
Bedard knew as a top pick he wasn’t going to a good team and he seems to have the maturity to understand the process…salty Vancouver fan much? Haha
More like Bedard is breaking the team. He's their #1 center and he refuses to backcheck, leaves the zone early, floats, and leaves his line playing shorthanded. Dude is a big part of the reason the Hawks suck.
@@Borodin410 No, the defense is a big part of not stopping the other team. Bedard's job is to score, else he would be playing defense. Bedard also didn't want to play for the Hawks has they have no future and the kid want to win.
Vancouver stuck in yo head
@@Traumatreejust because there’s a position called “defenseman” doesn’t mean defense isn’t a 5 man job. yes a forwards job is to score, but what are they supposed to do the other half of the game when they don’t have the puck?
@@leeharrison5718 They do just like Bossy was doing: waiting for the puck to come out and go score a goal.
He'll be fine. Patience is key. Look at Landescog and Mack. It took them several years before they were contending and winning.

@ haters gonna hate
Toronto has always been a large market, refresh my memory how many pre-cap Cups do they have in the last 50 years?
True, but Toronto having Ballard as owner nullified any chance of a competitive team for 20+ years. Even Stavros wasn't a big spender, so all that time the cap free advantage was never really utilized.
The last time Bedard won a league championship was back when he was 14 playing with west van lol, he’ll be fine sticking with the hawks until they are contenders.
Holy damn the use of Goldeneye Nintendo 64 music!!!! Epic choice!!
Love the goldeneye backing track
Not being ironic, itll build character while hes young. If he has a frustrating early career then he'll better understand just what itll take to win
@@darrenh6169 True, but you have to think that he's going to make huge strides in his own game over the next 6 years. I think players of this caliber have undying belief in their ability
He can always contact Austin Mathews if he feels the need to vent about not winning the Stanley cup or even a conference final or even playing in a final.
Losing becomes a habit.
@@darrenh6169 yeah that’s what Im afraid of, he came last year untamed and it showed, now he’s kinda too timid, i don’t think blackhawks is going as good as other fans say, it’s not that bad either but i feel like the team has no passion, maybe cause most of the players know they’re temporary, but that’s just my take
Just remember: a recent fellow number 1 pick, this guy named Nate MacKinnon-you might know him-basically said the same thing. And then they won the Stanley Cup. A pissed off superstar is a thing to fear.
Also, trading away Panarin and Hagel was the stupidest fucking thing in NHL history in terms of what they got back.
Absolutely. These years will help him to develop that dawg
@@ojibwe_86as far as I’m aware bedard wasn’t known for his speed but rather his powerful shot.
Well they didn’t have a choice but to trade panarin due to you the salary fucking cap. Hagel trade was bad tho
@ yeah I know, but they could’ve made room ELSEWHERE. They should’ve kept Panarin. He’s overrated as an actual goal scorer but he’s good at everything. He’s great 2 way, he gets a lot of assists; they shoulda found a way to keep him.
He wants in on the Canucks JUGGERNAUT. Who are we to deny him?
😏
Bedard is gonna have alot of success with the hawks but the playoffs this season is a stretch
@ I said hopes, even I’m not dumb enough to think it’s likely, but the only wild card race in the west is looking pretty weak this year
Playoffs maybe....maybe next season.
@@Stzu-s2bt55 yes too much of a players coach and his system is just horrible.
Did we watch the same 13 games this season? He will be fine, he's just had some bad puck luck and should find his groove soon.
I agree he needs someone to play with. Imagine if Kane was still at Chicago...
It’s good that Kanes not with him, I like that the hawks are doing everything they can to distance themselves from the 2010 team even if Kane wasn’t involved
I’m a hawks fan and I do not want Kane on the hawks unless we are contenders. I want Kane to win another cup.
@@Stzu-s2bt55 fair enough, I was just using it as an example, that if Bedard has someone to feed him or someone that he could feed, then interesting things could happen... jusy imagine if Bedard was sent to Edmonton or the Leafs, that would be interesting.
Next year we should at least be setting a goal for playoffs and that is something to look forward to
Twisting and turning, your feelings are burning!
You're breaking Bedaaaaaaaaarddd!!
I think him and the Hawks will be okay. They're showing some fight since the bad start. Let's see how the rest of the season goes.
Canucks should trade Pettersson for Bedard.
Then he would have a worse chance of winning and make less money; no one wants to play in Canada.

Not to be that guy but… a dynasty is widely considered 3 cups within a certain period of time/ with the same core. The only teams in the past 30 years that are dynasties are the Blackhawks and Red Wings. LA, Tampa, Pittsburg etc are not because they have only won 2
Pittsburgh won 3
@ 8 years earlier with a completely different team should not count. It doesnt fit the criteria that I understand and that is commonly agreed upon
The Chicago Bedards are breaking Connor Bedard?
Never thought I would see that
Look at it like this:
Crosby had Malkin
Kane had Toews
Chicago made a HUGE fumble not taking Demidov. They could have picked him, let him play another year in Russia, and have another top 3 pick that they could have used to take a defenseman next years draft. I could be wrong, but I don't think the Hawks will get a better player at this upcoming draft than Demidov.
Just remember they have a big prospect pool. Even if they passed on Demidov there are plenty of young players that can become elite players.
"Begging the question" does not mean the same thing as "raising the question".
Too many people can't understand what begging the question means.
@@shanemannruff5166 if size is so unimportant why is it mentioned all the freaking time? Good for you you can name 5 short nhlers, there are more than 5 good players in the NHL. Bedard is a great players but i'm no where near sold on him as a generational player
Some good points about how his points come off the rush. Been saying that. Once they can sustain good pressure he’ll be putting up huge numbers
Exactly
Maybe Bedard can take inspiration from that player who people called a generational talent, but only got to taste playoff hockey ONCE with his team during his first SIX years in the league.
After that, said team not only became a mainstay of the playoffs for ages but might also have won a "few' cups if memory serves...
The kid was a Québecois named Mario or something, I think... (:
(not to be confused with Mario "Forever Young" Armia).
Who the kid was isn't important; I mean, it's not like he became known as the most talented hockey player of all time, even by the Great One's own admission, or some shit like that :P
...
Absolutely terrible comparison.
@@ojibwe_86 Hmm.
Stop projecting your BS dude; I never mentioned a single word about such a ridiculous comparison, nor do I remotely think that these 2 players are and/or will ever be in the same league.
Lemieux is the most talented player of all time FFS lol (I think we can take Gretzky's word on this).
Losing can become a mindset that is hard to break.
i love your vids man
Maybe Bedard should quit the NHL and look at becoming the regional sales director for a paper company
Being punished for drafting and developing well is the biggest crime in sports. There should be some sort of protection / subsidy involved when it comes to these types of players in an organization to reward teams for drafting and developing well, not punishing them by forcing them to have to trade or let go of players because they priced themselves out.
2:27 salary cup really lmao
Bedard really needs another top top player on the team. MacKinnon, Rantanen, and Makar; McDavid and Drai, Crosby and Maklin, Kucherov, Stamkos, and Hedman as recent examples.
The fact that Kaner isn't playing with Bedsy is CRIMINAL
That line would have a brutal GA%
Two guys not playing defense…
Major defensive liability. Someones got to back check. That's besides owning the locker room that anyone who knows about a rebuild will tell you.
The nickname ‘Bedsy’ is criminal. WORST EVER. ✌️❤️🇨🇦
Crosby and Malkin agreeing to get traded there would help…
ever occur to anyone that Bedard is small, and what your seeing is about right until he grows up a bit more?
As a former Hawks fan who now despises this team, I hope they lose Bedard. There was a time when I would have been over the moon to see the Blackhawks acquire this kind of talent, but now I hope that he requests a trade.
Imagine Bedard goes to Minnesota and play alongside Kaprisov that's a good idea 💡🙀
Great video bud… but even better background music 😂
The last point about the Kings rebuild is exactly what the Flames are going for!
I really hope they stick to that plan
Insightful
If there’s anything I’m taking away from this video, its that the panthers are set up very nicely to stay relevant for years to come after the majority of the team took cap friendly 8 year deals this offseason
Bedard should of became a red wing
A team that is in their ninth year of a rebuild and still isn't close?
we need a star goalie more than a star forward
I was hoping for an obvious nod to Breaking bad but this is good too 😂
Panarin and Bedard would be a dangerous duo
This is a stupid video. The Blackhawks have won the cup 3 times since 2010. The Leafs haven't won since 67.
the alex debrincat typo at 4:45 had me questioning my sanity
When your first overall you dont go to a good team
Unless you are going to the rangers. Those guys went from a good team to a one or two year tank/rebuild back to being a good team.
I couldn't believe when the Hawks got rid of the Cat and Dach.
golden eye music. Auto like.
Clarke and Byfield as "stars" is a stretch I'd say. They're good, sure. Stars? Let's see.
if there was no salary cap then the Chicago Blackhawks would have won all the stanley cups from 2010-2020.
James Bond...I get your musical subliminal message...it takes someone as good as James Bond to win virtually alone.
Love the James Bond theme 👍🏼
Upset we passed on demidov so we can redeem ourselves this year with another top 5 pick hopefully
Goldeneye pause theme goes so fkn hard
Bedard and the Blackhawks will be more than fine. That team has a wicked deep talent pool, probably top 5 in the league. They'll be a big problem for everyone in 4-5 years.
Chicago Blackhawks management is just shocking
It's a deep rebuild we will be okay but damn those trades sting.
Rangers - montreal model is really the strongest one. Rangers have been a contender for a couple of years now
It'll be another 2-3 years before the Hawks get Bedard any real help. He can handle it, mentally.
Crosby had Malkin, McDavid had Draisaitl. Bedard needs a second line center of a similar caliber to compliment his game/ give teams something else to worry about
007 video game music! N64 this is my childhood lol
The disregard for the LA Kings and their sustained greatness during a rebuild needs to be studied
Good take on the Kings . Culture and leadership builds contenders . If not for Chi i think they could have won 4 Cups . I feel for Bedard but thats the nature of the business now .
Bedard will hit 70 goals before Matthews.
He'll also get to the 3rd round before Matthews.
No worries about Bedard.

This is what buffalo has been doing to players the whole playoff drought. I hate it as a buffalo fan, but we keep losing players that win the cup after getting out of buffalo
We need to get rid of the salary cap the teams from the 90s were awesome! NHL should do what baseball does and make teams that pay above the cap pay a tax that helps out the smaller markets.
you forgot to include s.boisvert on your list. boisvert's pick was obtained from the islanders via the hagel trade w/ tampa.
Bedard should come to Vancouver, Chicago is gonna be in a rebuild forever. Also that's crazy how much they lost for him.
Imagine if the Hawks paid some money to, oh I dont know, Patrick Kane, to play and mentor Bedard
Actually, Tampa has 7, Ryan McDonagh is back on the team
And Bedard is just under a point a game right now.
rob talks bullshit.
I guess the stories moral can be summoned this way : It's better to be a very good team but lose to the Cup (at least you keep your team intact) Than to win the Cup but ( to after lose almost all your players) cause they become too expensive to manage.
