Stuart Matthewman writes the majority of the music while Sade writes the songs. Stuart also has his own band Sweetback. This is because Sade doesn't tour or release records often enough to keep the band members busy. When she does release another album I'll be waiting. I saw her in 2004 at the Florida Panthers arena in Broward County (near Fort Lauderdale, FL). I could not get over how tight that band is. Sade is a living legend.

I have attended many concerts. Her's was one of the best in the world. Helen Fosade Adu aka Sade Adu was one of the best in the world. Truly worth every cent, mentally and spiritually.

I'm 65 and grew up in San Diego, in good old San Carlos 92119.
SDSU is a skip hop and a jump away, there at the 'open air theatre' I also saw literally dozens of concerts.
Sade was there twice, watched only once,BUT, what a concert!

...fan since '84. Was just reflecting - I'm not sure the band has released a sadder, darker or more haunting song than "Jezebel". And there is quite a list of deep blue to dark songs.
"Jezebel" is quite simply an exquisite song drenched in despair, and the delivery here (by the core band + guitarist) is spellbinding. No point in waxing lyrical about any member of the group - I take the view that they are a gift to us.
Can't wait for the next dates - yes, I know, long long wait, etc. We are used to it.
