- We are getting alllll the farm jobs here in Cumbria done to get away to the royal highland show tomorrow. Stuart from eternit came over to talk all things air flow and shed design. He was such a help and had helped us realise what NOT to do when designing calf housing. We got all our jobs done so we can get up to Scotland
in 2009 i had no experience of farming or the realities that came with it. That soon changed when I met my other half Roy, I had a job as a carer and in every spare moment threw myself into farming. I had only ever driven a Nissan Micra and had experience with horses, I learnt the hard way as nobody had the time to show me and soon after arriving I found myself mothering on calves to three quarter bred limmy cows. We spent every available moment on the farm between our day jobs. Fast forward to 2016 two children later we moved into our very own farm overlooking the northern Pennines, Laitha.
we are in a transitional period at present and will finally be milking cows and making the final switch later this year, after years of planning and implementing infrastructure we will be milking 120 Jersey cows on two Lely robots. This will be a huge change and a steep learning curve

I am overjoyed to be a farmer. I feel so fortunate every day to wake up and do what I love and even better share it with the world and hope it inspires more young people from Preston to spread their wings and think outside the box the world doesn’t need more childcare workers or hairdressers it needs more farmers.

Hi Charlotte what do you do with all the rainwater off the roofs you should be able to catch hundreds of gallons in storage tanks to reuse to feed the life stock and save you a lot of money but knowing the planning in Britain they won't allow you to and say it's bad for the environment .Roy
Oh we have a HUGE tank to collect it but it’s not in the ground yet :)
... Idea .... leaf blower to dedust cabs ... do it on a windy day, even better .... where you checking to see if the kilt wearers were properly attired .... thx for the share ... as always .... never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans .....

Hi Charlotte, another interesting video, just finished spraying liquid fertiliser all night as its to hot during the day and watched your video, you certainly cheer me up after along day with what you get up to, always looking good too, whether your farming or out and about. Try to pop down to this neck of the woods (Ely) as we're only 10 miles from RAF Lakenheath where those F15E's are based, over 50 of them plus 30 plus F35A's. You may find it a tad difficult to control yourself at the end of the runway!

I know I have noticed this you wouldn’t believe you can’t see it when your editing and then only pick up on it when you see it uploaded on RUclips, I had a read through some comments sections on the Adobe website and it’s a common thing
