Other reasons for why I'm moving to Mexico that I didn't mention in the video: I have always had an affinity for Mexican culture, I love how hard-working and warm Mexican people are. Also it's still the same continent as my family and the cost of living is a lot lower. Beyond that, I just picked Mexico because of a feeling.
Hope you enjoy living in Mexico. Just say you should try Atole that’s one of my favorite drink on cold days
A feeling is probably the best reason to do it.
Good luck and be safe ! I’m Mexican try all Moles they are all different ! And watch your weight haha.
People, colors, food, traditions a lot to experiment.
I'm born in Mexico, moved to NY 20 years ago. I love both cultures!
Keep up the great content and be very welcomed to my country. :)
You are going to be successful Nath, I have no single doubt about that. You are so young and wise for your age!
Wow Chloé, I'm touched. Thank you for all of your wonderful encouragement.
Lol right? I can't believe this guy is 21
I became an expat and moved to Puerto Vallarta Mexico last November ... so happy I left the USA ... I’m happy here !
I'm Mexican and I love you (no homosexualuzko)
YOU ARE NOT AN EXPAT...you are an immigrant ALIEN....
Johannes Eckeström i do not now why...
Good... stay there please. Bring people with you if you can.
Orion Star You obviously don’t know the definition of an expat. Also what makes you so sure he did it illegally?
You won't regret it!! Bienvenido a nuestro México !!!
I already love this country. Muchas gracias!
Yes he will!

Man... you are going to love Mexico so much that you will never wanna go back to the States.. Good Luck and Welcome to Mexico Hermano :)
Haha..as an American who lived in México for 6 years, I can agree with that! I miss it everyday and can't wait to go visit.
moved here as an exchange student and I completely agree. i enjoy myself here more than back home in Canada, its such a beautiful country with amazing friendly people
I'm Mexican from Mexico City. Not living currently in that city but if you need information don't hesitate to ask me.
Alejandro Déctor I was born in the US and my parents are from Aguascalientes and Guadalajara. I’ve really started to not like living in the US due to a lot of political and social pressures and the “need to grind” and constantly get money and success and things like that. The pace of life is too fast here. I’ve been thinking about moving to Mexico after graduating high school next month but my parents keep telling me I would be better off here. My main reasons are because it seems like the values and priorities in Mexico are very different (and better), and I’d like to perfect my Spanish (even though i’m fluent) and understand where I come from more while also living a different way of life. In your opinion, would it be a bad idea? In Mexico City, would it be hard for me to get a decent paying job with just a high school diploma while also being very fluent in English? Overall, would it be a hard transition? Anything/any information would be great!
Verenice Rodriguez Look for me in Instagram.
Verenice Rodriguez
In my personal opinion if you want to get a high paid job in Mexico you should get a degree in the US. Nothing too fancy just something that shows that you have the motivation and you’ve put the effort into learning something after finishing your mandatory education. My dad told me to get a degree and I could go to Mexico and work in places where they need English. Such as schools and airports. Again it’s only my opinion.
@@itxy4283 is not necessary to get a degree in the US, you can get one in Mexican schools like Politécnico or UNAM.
I'm about to finish my junior high school in Politécnico and enter to UNAM. You can also learn English or any other languages by taking extra courses.
To get well paid in México you just need a good curriculum, a good interview and look and approach the opportunities.
@@fernandaroger7589 the classes in Mexico are better in teaching than. The u.s I think.I know people who know more than me and I studied with good students in the u.s and as long as you show skills it doesn't matter where you studied.
what a brave young man you are. I wish you the best of luck. You will go far.
Thank you!
@@nathanieldrew if your adventures and plans ever bring you to Costa Rica, let me know. I'll be able to give you a few tips to move around here ;)

I understand. My affinity was with Europe. I have been living on the Mediterranean for twelve years and treasure each day of it. Bon courage mon ami.
Life is a playground! Bienvenido a México! 🇲🇽
Congrats! We are moving to Spain for a year with our kids for the same reason. You never know what it will lead to. We actually spent a month living in Mexico two years ago and we loved it. It’s a beautiful place to be. 💗
And Sew On check out Lisboa
I do greatly believe that success will come to you. Your content is excellent and I will definitely be an avid watcher of your videos. Regardless of any outcome you've at least given me an immense amount of motivation I needed to continue on my own somewhat "non-traditional" journey, so thank you! To be able to inspire people like this is an extremely powerful thing, so keep doing what your doing. Sending love and respect from Jamaica 🇯🇲
I'm seriously thinking about moving out of the US and I'm really leaning in the direction of Mexico, good for you!
Just do It !! you won't regretted
I can really relate with what you're saying Nathaniel. I'm moving from Italy to Canada to create english content (with 1.6k subscribers). This video was really, really helpful and it's impressive how many thoughts we have in common right now. Your channel blew up and I'm really happy for you, I'm still working hard to get to that point. But anyway thank you for this video!
I'm watching this video now before moving to Mexico City myself in 3 weeks -- looking for the same kind of experience. Dude, you posted this comment with 1.6k subscribers? Just clicked on your channel and see you have over 600K now! Ottimo lavoro, davvero impressionante.
YOU ARE AT ALMOST A MILLION OMGGGGGG
Over a million so cool
And now you and Nathaniel have over 1 million subscribers!!
You are going to be successful as a content creator. What you are doing and sharing is powerful and full of real meaning. People are starving for real, truthful content like this man.
Thanks Dan, that means a lot. I'm just going to keep my head down and continue putting myself out there.
Having been living in Tulum, Mexico for the past 10 Months I can totally understand your move. It’s an amazing country and culture. You rock. Keep being brave and follow your heart 💖
I am from Mexico and move at age 8 to USA to study, I am 21 and I still miss the lifestyle in Mexico
Well done, Nathaniel! Moving abroad at age 20 was the best thing I ever did. 10 years later I have no plan to ever go back to where I started. Live life, learn from it, expand your horizons!
wow just turned 20 this year. it's inspiring seeing all these people around the world who do this because where I'm from not a lot of people are into this idea of exploring and expanding the self and acquiring new experiences. living in another country is not a realistic option for me now but i do want to be able to do this in the near future. i guess I'm writing this to say thank you for the boost of inspiration and energy today. power to all the explorers of the world ✊
Best of luck mate. Really enjoying the thoughtful insight you give to your videos.
Your attitude is contagious!!! SUBSCRIBED 😍
Just found your channel, you couldn't pick a better place to start your journey, you are being divinely guided. Cant wait to see more of your videos, loving the content, so genuine and honest is refreshing. Bienvenido a Mexico.
it's not easy making such a decision, mad respects for your bravery.
I can relate because I am going through a similar experience of being stuck at a desk job.
just decided today to resign to pursue and work for my RUclips more, and it was perfect time to see your video, it gave me more push.
best of luck, Nathaniel.
Wow man, that's a huge change, good luck with that! I will check out your work.
@@nathanieldrew thank you, by the way my content is mostly in Kurdish language. There are English subtitles fot some them however, I also have English channel which isn't so active (AydENjoy)
You are so genuine! Just discovered your channel and I love it. Keep it up!! Looking forward to your new videos👍👍👍
Honestly your videos are amazingly eye-opening. I've been binge-watching your content and I can't get tired of your storytelling, it's too good!
WOW! So inspiring. You have a drive that will take you to very far places. You are so young and have time on your side.
Take good care of yourself and I can't wait for your next video. Hasta Luego!
That's really inspiring, good luck with it. Bienvenido a México ☺
Best of luck in Mexico, man. Sometimes it feels like this city can be quite chaotic, but it's got a lot to offer. If you're ever in the mood, hit me up and we'll grab a drink.
Just found your channel! Love it! Also in a life transition now, moving to France! Would love to meet you one day! Sending hugs and support! Enjoy Mexico 🥰 Kinga
Oh super cool! My single biggest piece of advice for living with the French: learn the language. If you speak French so many doors will open up for you and it will be a 1,000 times easier to make friends and meet people. Good luck!
Nathaniel Drew thank you! I do speak French 😍 best regards ☀️
I know this video is not a relatively recent one, but I just watched it and you insipre me so much. I'm exactly at this place in my life right now and I literally paused the video and wrote down what you said about life being a playground and trying to change something if you're stuck. You got me motivated to get my project started that I've been thinking of for months. Thanks!
This is exactly the video I needed to see today! I’m excited watch you grow from this journey! Can’t wait for your new content from Mexico!
Welcome to Mexico and I hope everything goes well with you. Saludos!
otro estupido que no sabe lo que dice....despues que ya tengas que ir a comprar tus tacos a Taco Bell sera muy tarde para arrepentirte.
I found your channel with your how to learn italian videos and this video makes me so happy! My family is from Mexico, I live in the U.S, and the culture and people there are the best!
Awesome, Nathaniel! I just discovered your channel, and I'm really glad I did. We are in and out of Mexico often and teach Spanish online. It'd be awesome to meet up in CDMX sometime. Congrats on your recent channel growth! Un saludo. -Jim
Thank you very much my brother, I am also a new RUclipsr and your words really motivate me. I wish you success and happiness.
Dude I love your videos! I've literally been binge watching all of them since you poped up in my recommended videos! Keep on doing what you are doing, VERY INSPIRING x
I appreciate your channel so so much. I connect to you on a lot of levels and am also looking to live an unconventional life. I'm starting my full time travel journey in just a few months and I can't wait. It's a huge leap of faith without an online job lined up but I know everything will fall into place. And I will also be stopping in Mexico for a while! thank you for the joy and inspiration you bring and keep making awesome content!
You are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing. From Montréal, Canada.
Nellie Q I am moving to Montreal next year !!!! I am French and I will study at udeM
I was looking back on some old videos of yours for some inspiration, and I happened to stumbled upon this gem. More than a year has passed, and see just how far you've grown as a storyteller and as a man. I'm glad that you allowed us to join you in this roller coaster of a ride, Nathaniel. Cheers to your future!
That's so great know you come here, I will be so gland if you come to Puebla state. The most success for you.
I've watched a handful of your videos today, this is the one I connected with the most. I love your adventurous, curious, and can-do attitude. And your outlook on the future and its uncertainty is something I needed to hear.
Have fun in Mexico and good luck!
You're such a breath of fresh air and it's nice to know people like you exist. Good luck and hope you get as much experience and life lessons in your present journey.
Hello ! I will miss the forest but I'm happy for you and can't wait to see your next videos in Mexico ! See you soon !
Excellent! Your attitude about life and the future is just the best. You've got a ton of positive energy, and i'd encourage you to monitor that, using it as one of your "guides" directing you in ways that maintain and even increase it. I am posting this about 2 months since you left for M.C., so will try and catch up on subsequent stories from your travels.
Just discovered your channel and find you and your thought process quite captivating. Subscribed and looking forward to seeing what you got :)
I did the same thing. I lived in Mexico City for a year and I love and miss México so much. The most amazing country, people and food.
Wuuu!! Yes!! Come to México!! I will be so happy to see Nathaniel videos in México
Fantastic my Man. I'll be heading to Guadalajara in two months and cant wait. Best wishes to you and your journey!
Maaaaan! Amazing! I hope you are having a fantastic mexican time! Mexico is always a GOOD idea 😉 I really LOVE how you glow 👍🏼
I literally just found your channel and I already love it, besides the fact that you decided to move to my country makes me love you even more ❤
¡Bienvenido a México! It took me a while to adapt here once I came from the usa but I’ve learnt to admire the pros and cons. I love it here, I believe you’re going to the capital city, try exploring other states and pueblos. I’m sure you’re gonna like it, and always remember to keep your head up difficulties come in the long run but everything is possible 🤠 y puro pa’ delante.
I appreciate the advice. I will definitely try to get out of the capital whenever I can. I know there's a lot to see!
@@nathanieldrew yes, I'm in Guanajuato it's dope here.
Just found this channel. So glad I did. Love the sincerity. Looking forward to the Mexican adventure.
yt recommended your channel to me today; three videos in and i already adore you. I'm excited to hear more about mexico city in future videos too. this channel will definitely have huge growth this year.
You did it very very well!!! Congratulations for dont give up!!! Im watchin you!!!!!!!
🙌🙌🙌🙌 love the message and am so happy to be around to see your path! I believe the same is important to see the journey as well because that’s inspiring for all of us 😊
Good luck on your journey Nath! We have to try, experience and learn before we can judge whether e.g. traveling, cooking, vlogging is something we like or dislike. Just remember that there is no loss in the path of life experience. You can only win.
Amazing dude i just love your positive perspective of life congrats
Bienvenido a Mexico! De verdad sé que te irá genial aquí, súper amigo ..adelante
Bienvenido a casa! Gracias por tus increíble mensaje. Este es un gran canal. ¡Muchas felicidades!
Muchas gracias. Estoy emocionado para descubrir México y todo lo que puedo crear acá!
Your perspective is so frickin awesome. It's inspiring to see another young person working towards the things we all sit around and talk about all the time. Relocation--pursuing alternative experiences and education--demanding a little bit more from life. Just avoiding the blueprint. Hoping Mexico is treating you well!
seeing that your channels definitely on the rise, I can already see your success in the near future
Greatly inspired, thank you Nathaniel Drew, very curious to see more from Paris: welcome to Europe!
Good luck with your new adventure! I adore people like you who embrace change. Change makes us better. Change makes us healthy. Change makes us learn how to handle calculate risks.
I watched this many months ago before moving to Mexico .. and you really helped give me a positive outlook on my move .. I've been here about 3 months now and I just wanted to say that I really appreciated you making this video.
OMG Im crayin’ with this video! This man make’s me think about my life.

Enjoy the best food ever!!! Bienvenido a México! You gonna have so much fun!!! México is the best playground
Good stuff. I commend you on being brave. I enjoy your style and way of being. May you be very successful.
This is why I am moving too! 😭 I don’t know why but this videos brings comforts to me because a lot of people doubt you.
I discovered your channel through the Italian learning one. Keep up the good work. Me and my best friend are also on a quest to become digital nomads. It's really cool to see how many people there are that are into minimalism and digital nomad culture. I think this will be one of the defining features of our generation.
I just moved to Mexico and made a vlog about it .. this video has given me a better way of looking at things.. thanks for it!
I’m am so in love with the way you view life. Also love your channel and I’ve only seen two vids lol.
You’re such an inspiration to so many people. I love how open minded you are, it’s beautiful to look at life in a positive way everyday! Endless blessings
Hey! I've been watching some of your videos and when I clicked on the first one, I actually thought you were from Mexico. You put out this vibe you're talking about that reminds me of some people I know here: driven, hard-working, thoughtful and warm. I just wanted to mention that. By the way, if you're missing the forest, you should go to El Desierto de los Leones, its a little woodsy place that's actually in the city. I don't know if you've been but it's really beautiful!
Thank you Nathaniel for sharing your journey. I’ve moved to other countries (USA and France), and at 52 years old, my journey continues. Thank you for inspiring me today.
YES! haha I'm late but I'm feeling the excitement for you. Good Luck
Preach!!! I loved living in Mexico City! I needed this message. I am moving back to Egypt (not from there, but was in grad school there.) I am scared as hell, especially about money. Your words are truly inspiring. Can't wait to see more of your videos!

Good luck, I'm looking forward to your future videos and I'm sure everything is going to be great for you! Enjoy as much as you can the time you spend there 😊
Thanks, I sure will!
The way you talked about the experience, an opportunity to learn and grow by yourself rather than it being a success or a failure, is really positive and realistic at the same time! I think it's the best approach to embrace change and new places and possibilities, and I definitely want to focus more on the growth than on the good or bad of new experiences in the future.
Congratulations Nathaniel, and good luck on your journey! I hope you accomplish all you hope to. :)
Thanks Natalie. I can't wait to share :)
Cool Nathaniel, you won't regret living in mexico, there are so many things to see and experience. Tu historia me ha inspirado a optar por un camino diferente. Yo igual vivo en la CDMX así que, cualquier cosa que necesites, sólo dime :).
