- Unboxing the Nokia 8.3 5G, which is finally on sale from October 8th for a price of £499 in the UK. Here's a full tour of the quad-lens camera and features, plus a look at performance, specs and that stock Android UI. My full review will follow shortly as I've already been using the Nokia 8.3 5G as my full-time phone for a week.
Now, several mid-range 5G smartphones have launched in 2020 for £300-400, including the OnePlus Nord and Realme X50 5G. So is this Bond Phone as tempting as it once was, vs those other options?
Well, it should be just as good at gaming on the likes of PubG and Call of Duty Mobile, with that same 765G Snapdragon chipset. You've got a gorgeous 6.8-inch HDR screen (still bright and punchy, although not an OLED). And the camera features will be ideal for pro photographers and anyone who wants to shoot cinematic style video. In fact, this could be one of the best cameraphone releases of 2020 alongside the Xperia 1 ii. Stay tuned for a full review of the optics to see how it fares.

I am using this phone and I can say that it is elaborated and well balanced which is better than a phone that has better specifications with weak elaboration and alot of issues.
What I like about this phone are:
1. Sharp and good color display.
2. Long life battery.
3. Great strength level in receiving wifi and mobile data.
4. Easy to use.
5. Service is good all the time.
6. No lagging.
7. Good for gaming.
The phone is good overall. I enjoy using it.

Why do Indians love Nokia? Its a European manufacturer and us Europeans have abandoned nokia decades ago. They sell over priced poorly specced phones.

It's dropped in water two times...and drop in hard floor that's uncountable....it has only 2gb ram but till PUBG as well as CALL OF DUTY,,till am not facing any heat or lagging issue...now say which mobile company gives to you that much after i-phone ??

Cheers for the review mate, was quite fun and you have a particular style to it that just clicked with me. Regarding the device, it's a shame it took so long to be released, although understandable. Lots of nice features in a premium package. I like the evolution and general idea HMD is trying to make with Nokia Mobile. Personally I would love they returned to the design language used for the 7 Plus and 6.1, that whole matte black aluminum feel was just fantastic.

Waiting for the 7.3 and 6.3. The Nokia 8.3 5G seems to expensive for what I need a smartphone for.
My €1200 Samsung note is 3.5yrs old did not fancy forking out the same again. Just found this I'm so thrilled as I was always a Nokia chick. I have a fab nokia through the ages collection. Hopefully I wont be disappointed and maybe nokia will have clawed back customer of old. Great review going to hit the subscribe button 👍👍

Well the specs looked great on paper but it's seriously lower than the expectations and the competition pretty much beat Nokia to nearly every punch. 6 months is a really long time to wait for what looks like a upper mid-range phone that's trying too hard.

The Motorola G9 Plus looks comparable and it will sell for 300€.

We expect this kind of build quality From Nokia, instead of polycarbonate they use in5.3 or some other handsets. Nokia is well known for its durability, reliability, sustainability and craftsmanship. It should continue its legacy.
have u noticed nokia rebranding and quality depriving, we blame poco for rebrand, but in nokia 5.3 is 2020 worst ever rebranding nokia 7 plus, then nokia 7.2, same processor nokia 5.3, i don't know nokia y nokia is stuck with snapdragon 665

I liked the original Nokia 8. I could actually reach all the way around that display with one hand. I'm currently liking the look of the size of the Pixel 4a and hope that more manufactures follow suit and start making smaller phones again.

Really needed to focus and so I thought we are so many different people watching this video some aware of a vast reality but still wanting a good phone so we get here every now and then when a you want to check up a phone.. while others are just consumers, fans of this reality nothing else but loyal brand buyers :D Takes time to un-program and relearn the true way of life

The whole problem with Nokia phones is the pricing. It's got decent hardware and the Android One running in it, but it's constantly selling at a slightly higher price of the usual mid range phone.
This phone is virtually identical to the Motorola Edge and it costs $60 less than the edge. So i disagree

I know its little bit costly as compare to other brands. I am nokia mobile user and from last 2 years there is no single problem in it. That's the difference between nokia and other brands

Sorry to say HMD, wanted this one from when it first appeared, but I took the slow boat to China, and they missed it, so I fell for a NORD instead, which, according to the Spurt Report, was a good move! I'm not buying a 500 euro phone with IPS panel in 2020 Nokia... :) Just get an OnePlus 7 Pro around that price.
Also it seems like the black spots at the bottom corners are still there like the nokia 8.1 (which i own right now)
This Nokia phone is basically the same as the Motorola G9 Plus which will sell for 300€ or less (on sale). And it's not like Motorola is forcing ads into the OS like Xiaomi to reduce the initial price.

It seems Nokia made the chin so big just to fit the branding. Someone should tell Nokia that even Google is moving away from big chin and forehead for its phones.

@@totomaiden08 This should have come in April to early May at a maximum for 450 and drop price today for 380 to 370. at the mid. range right now the Oneplus Nord is far a better choice.
