Thank you so much!!! Guess I have a lot of work for the next few weeks! I had stop pedalling because it was a mess😁! Especially at the end of alfred's 2 where you have a lot of pedalling! Hope a lot of people are going to find your channel through this video because we have few videos that don't explain it well! Thanks again!
Thanks for your very useful tutorial. So in your example there, you’re pedaling based on the bass cleft (left hand part) and not the the right hand part… is that always the case or is it because of the slur? Also, will this work on digital pianos with a single very basic on/off sustain pedal? Also, do you have a video that discusses the technique of “half-pedaling”?
Well presented and very educational video. Now just need to get my foot to cooperate with my brain… Thank you.
this is a very nice video .You hardly find any decent videos on how pedal works and how to properly use it
You are so clear - many thanks !

It will work on digital too, will sound a bit different but will work. Pedalling doesn't depend on either hand, it usually depends on harmonic changes
Thank you! Is it okay to use the sustain pedal to play a tie? (I just watched your tie/slur video and this question basically asked itself in my head)
No because you would still hear the note twice. The pedal doesn't substitute a tie. You could use it instead of slurs
@@pianotips2623 Thank you!
Your pedal down, but your first note when you play , how come you never lift your hands? Thanks
Yikes! It's like juggling eggs, chainsaws and fire while rubbing your belly and patting your head all at the same time!
That's exactly what I feel when I have to drive a car 🤣
