I like everything but the silencer changes. Having a silencer already reduced the mv but now unless you double down and reduce the mv even more, you’ll basically be heard. It eliminates the choice of being silent and using custom ammo. Atp you’d be better off using a bow or crossbow at short-mid range because it does more damage and is way more silent
some of those are a little questionable. making everything fire so fast is... not a choice i like. faster specter, faster reloads on guns with traits to make it even faster. super fast semi auto crossbow. the event saw blade launcher is fast. reducing spread of fast firing traits like fanning and levering i am generally super excited for it! but maybe we shouldn't speed the gunplay up too much imo Edit: As others mentioned ofc, another cyclone buff as well to add to the list
100% agree, just the buffs brought to the cyclone, lever or even the exposure of semi-automatic weapons, make the fight much less interesting.I am really disappointed with the way this is going.

The subsonic ammo is going to be much more than that for most weapons, since the speed of sound is so much slower than most rifles' standard MV
So a lil thing. In the acknowledgement of the speed of sound. Some silencer weapons saw a muzzle velocity increase most noticeable on the sparks which is now 460. So watch out for headshots
Somethings that were not covered about the repeating crossbow are that if you use the fire or explosive bolt is that you don't seem able to recover them and when using the explosive bolts, you have less ammo in the mag from 10 to 5.
the speed increase is a bad sign. I mean. Ghost face and post malone were a bad sign but those were cosmetic. Mechanical changes are what's truly worrisome.
What doesn't make sense is that some guns still have default stats being subsonic and some suppressed guns like bornheim iirc has below subsonic speed stat with standard ammo on a silenced version, so it's not supposed to break the sound barrier but it does 1865 carbine should be quieter than standard guns because it has 340m/s velocity which is below the speed of sound for an example I honestly theorized that 1865 will get muzzle velocity buffed and 340m/s will become its subsonic ammo speed since it got an aperture modification, but no, the muzzle speed still sucks and now the devs expect us to snipe with a lens sight with 340m/s velocity and the modification doesn't even give reduced sway so sniping is worse than with any other aperture variant
I don't like the silencer changes at least for compact ammo weapons. Why would I want to pay for a special ammo that is extremely limited to resupply and makes my velocity even worse than it used to be? That's a scam. It also made the silenced Vetterli catch a stray with its already slow velocity of 280 m/s. But since it's in the game I doubt they're gonna walk it back, and now there really is no reason to take normal ammo or poison.
Here are my 2 cents on the recovery shot: I think more ways to recover bars are good in a running game (emphasis on running) because after a fight where they lost some bars, people are more inclined to stick around knowing they have ways to recover them... Which leads to more interactions with other players... aka gameplay!!! As for the recovery shot, I think because of the 140$ pricetag together with one less consumable item is a bit much in terms of what you get. I think in most cases a grenade that kills someone for example is worth a lot more than an empty bar that doesn't directly keep you alive. So no, I think what the recovery shot will be used most often is to get extra skill points for new hunters. If money isn't an issue for you, you might as well spend 240$ on a new hunter instead of 100$ and get +2 points. This ups your average points from 9 to 11. You can already get hunters with 14+ points, but it depends on luck. Sometimes you have to reroll half a dozen times or more to get one with high value traits, now you have a consistent option that is (most of the time) far more cost-effective than rerolling anyways. If you're willing to spend 380$ on a new hunter, you can lock in 13+ points every time. It only costs you 1 or 2 consmable slots, depending on how many more points you want to start with and the requirement to begin the game with some empty health... which a visit to any supply point at the start of the game, a random medkit inside a compound, or a random medic grunt will remedy for you. So not really a downside. About half a year ago, or whenever they changed legendary hunters again, people were whining that legendaries were too powerful because they had too many points. I say this is the same thing here, it just costs more money, that's all. And we all know that money isn't a problem for most people. At least it isn't for me... Instead, they should make pledgemarks a standard mechanic of this game and accommodate this change by adding recovery medkits to compounds like they did in Bounty Clash. Of course, not every compound needs to have one.
Good observation. I agree. I think legendary hunters come with too many trait points. I don't think you should be able to guarentee a quartermaster, fanning or doctor every game. I think they should be capped at 5. That way you can get your playstyle perk (iron eye, scopesmith, etc) or one other mid-level perk (grayhound, witness, etc). Those high teir traits no longer feel special.
I wanted to test out the new stuff in the shooting range, but I couldn't find the Chu Ko Nu, is it just absent from the range or did I miss it? I couldn't find fast fingers in the range either
I’d imagine he just bought all the stuff in the battle pass so he has it by default then individually brought stuff in and using the magic of editing made the transitions smooth lol.

Dang I’ve watched a few update videos now and this is the first time I’ve heard of many of these changes. Btw fast fingers makes your reload noticeably faster, but it takes a while to put more cartridges in your off hand (you press your reload button as if it’s a multi shot rifle to do it)
1 per macht kind of dont sum up as these weapons always will be carried on to new matches and mostly never dissappear, so there will be more and more over time with the update.
There are guns like the winfield silencer or the bornheim silencer and a few others I think that already are slower then 343m/s sometimes even well below it. So my question is are these guns quieter even though you don't put the slower bullets in? What about when you get below the 343 when you put fmj in and so on. The nagant silencer is already at 280 m/s that is even slower then some of the subsonic rounds so by logic it should be more silent. No?
I think the event is one of the better ones but also introduces some of the worst elements. The game is moving to a faster gameplay which is why so many people fell in love with the game to begin with. Crytek are introducing way too many mechanics without properly balancing them while also ignoring bugs that have been present for years. Although I still enjoy the game, I'm enjoying it less and less.
I noticed something odd with the Sparks Pistol Silencer. It doesnt suffer a damage range penalty like all the other silenced variants. It deals full damage within 30m just like the regular sparks pistol. All other silencers in the game reduce the damage range by 10m compared to their non silenced Version, but not this one. Bug or Feature?

Im not very much a fan of celebrity themed events, everything themed pm feels odd, as would much with other celebs / pop culture to me. Im not gonna claim "It DoSNt FiT THe GaME" because the devs did a incredible job of making it fit the world. However celeb tie-ins, no mater the game always feels like "hey, dont you love rich person number #364! dont you wanna give us money because we also love rich person number #364?" Otherwise the new weapons, items, balancing and mini compound look quite interesting, i look forward to more of what crytek does, but i just hope we dont see something like "Nicki Minaj's massacre mountain"
I didn't know who post malone was before this event, so I really don't care one way or the other. I get people's concern in general. Ghost face didn't sit right with me, but this one I don't mind. If it was just about post malone being in the game without the effort to make it fit, i'd be more sour about it. I don't care about celebrities/collabs, but i realize they drive marketing. I've just gotten used to rolling my eyes and moving on when they show up in stuff i like.

I wonder if it could be used for upgrade point farming. Drop chunks for upgrade points, enter a mission, shoot up white stuff, beeline for the exit and repeat.
@@E1nsty I doubt that's a concern for them. Having excess upgrade points is hardly useful. You are also dropping $140 per shot. I wouldn't want to waste so much time loading in and out of matches for 4 measly points. It might be useful if you want to squeeze a couple extra points out for a trait you might want on a new hunter.
I would say it still will be a little rare. It's a consumable you are mostly only going to have going into a match. This takes up the slots for regen and stamina shots, and even ammo boxes. having 4 restoration slots is hardly op if another consumable could keep you from getting downed in the first place.
Is it just me or did they boost the damage of silent weapons? Like I got a new PC and a better monitor so maybe it's just that plus the iron sight change to the Winnie silenced has really improved my aim so I'm hitting more heads which I have hit more heads but even that still isn't quite feel like it accounts for how I'm like two tapping people with the Winnie silenced with at most three tapping them if I hit them in like the leg or the arm was one of the shots... Like honestly it makes running the subsonic ammo not even that big a downside if you ask me especially at most importantly with the trait that I feel needs to be a base game trait quite frankly being poltergeist because it really is the key that helps make solo play far less fucking annoying without needing to bring back necromancer because even old necromancer which minds you I think the change to it to make it a burn trait with a bad choice but even without that poltergeist lets you open up all the doors in a compound as well as trigger sound cues all over the place forcing the enemies to have no clue where you're going to be coming from with also the changes to Lightfoot and subsequently also just the general value of silence now for solo players with poltergeist means that you can actually legitimately sneak around and open up an entire compound's doors and they'll have no clue where you're coming from as you can then actually sneak in and actually use the Winnie silence to its best advantage and take out people with a not even knowing where you took the shots from as I've had dudes walk right in front of me cuz they didn't realize I was down the opposite hallway and they were just looking at where their friend died
please don't do ads for key resellers, they operate by harming game devs by things like stolen credit cards and abusing regional pricing please buy directly from developers where possible, especially indie devs need every dollar
The fact they are makin faster reload times for guns with a trait is questionable. It’s going to make the sparks and single shot guns meta if it’s a fast reload. Also, making a trait that reduces sway is just to notice new players who can’t aim and punish people who put time in. After this update it looks like they keep trying to make the game easier and easier for new players, this is what happened with cod. Then the post Malone event and skin, I feel like they are going that route and this game will be ruined in a year if they keep going this route, which they probably will bc they just seem to care about numbers now
You should play the game before guessing. It’s definitely not OP with the fast reloads. Just a tiny buff and really cool looking is all. A plain mosin still beats them
It takes a trait slot, and that matters a lot. No one uses those guns unless they're on a budget anyway, and one trait isn't going to change that. Hasn't the game been "getting ruined" for so long now, it's a joke to hear that thought at this point
This is going to get toxic very quick with trans running all explosive crossbow and just spamming it and everyone bringing 4 ammo boxes. Why do we need more explosive ammo. Why doesn't sub sonic not also do more damage, I feel like with such a hit to muzzle velocity it should also hit harder or have less damage drop off
i just 1v3 a whole team using a bow because of blademancer, I literaly land a shot then dark sight and its insta kill, its actually very depressing from someone whos been playing this game since it launched, it feels like its a clueless corporate overlords milking this game or something like that, I dunno, but truthfullly that got me angry even though I won a 1v3, just doesnt make any sense im so mad right now... right now because of that trait, the bow is basically an unstopable shotgun, its like do they even play test their own game....

Specter needed it. Was always goofy with how slow it cycled. Irl you can cycle all of these weapons very fast if you’re remotely skilled
You still need a trait for fast fingers, and considering every trait slot is valuable, I think it's a fair tradeoff.
They did change where shooting just a couple of times in succession deafens now. It occurs much quicker than before it seems.
I'd like to point out that they said subsonic would reduce velo by ~15% but some guns like the krag reduce it by >40%
I thought it was that silenced weapon variants would have about 15% less velocity with base ammo than base weapons with base ammo.
There’s a reduction for the silenced variant and an additional reduction when subsonic ammo used.

That's because subsonic ammo is designed to be shot below the speed of sound, causing it to be quieter.

Like honestly it makes running the subsonic ammo not even that big a downside if you ask me especially at most importantly with the trait that I feel needs to be a base game trait quite frankly being poltergeist because it really is the key that helps make solo play far less fucking annoying without needing to bring back necromancer because even old necromancer which minds you I think the change to it to make it a burn trait with a bad choice but even without that poltergeist lets you open up all the doors in a compound as well as trigger sound cues all over the place forcing the enemies to have no clue where you're going to be coming from with also the changes to Lightfoot and subsequently also just the general value of silence now for solo players with poltergeist means that you can actually legitimately sneak around and open up an entire compound's doors and they'll have no clue where you're coming from as you can then actually sneak in and actually use the Winnie silence to its best advantage and take out people with a not even knowing where you took the shots from as I've had dudes walk right in front of me cuz they didn't realize I was down the opposite hallway and they were just looking at where their friend died
please don't do ads for key resellers, they operate by harming game devs by things like stolen credit cards and abusing regional pricing
please buy directly from developers where possible, especially indie devs need every dollar
The fact they are makin faster reload times for guns with a trait is questionable. It’s going to make the sparks and single shot guns meta if it’s a fast reload. Also, making a trait that reduces sway is just to notice new players who can’t aim and punish people who put time in. After this update it looks like they keep trying to make the game easier and easier for new players, this is what happened with cod. Then the post Malone event and skin, I feel like they are going that route and this game will be ruined in a year if they keep going this route, which they probably will bc they just seem to care about numbers now
You should play the game before guessing. It’s definitely not OP with the fast reloads. Just a tiny buff and really cool looking is all. A plain mosin still beats them
It takes a trait slot, and that matters a lot. No one uses those guns unless they're on a budget anyway, and one trait isn't going to change that. Hasn't the game been "getting ruined" for so long now, it's a joke to hear that thought at this point

This is going to get toxic very quick with trans running all explosive crossbow and just spamming it and everyone bringing 4 ammo boxes. Why do we need more explosive ammo. Why doesn't sub sonic not also do more damage, I feel like with such a hit to muzzle velocity it should also hit harder or have less damage drop off

i just 1v3 a whole team using a bow because of blademancer, I literaly land a shot then dark sight and its insta kill, its actually very depressing from someone whos been playing this game since it launched, it feels like its a clueless corporate overlords milking this game or something like that, I dunno, but truthfullly that got me angry even though I won a 1v3, just doesnt make any sense im so mad right now... right now because of that trait, the bow is basically an unstopable shotgun, its like do they even play test their own game....
