It’s so sad that Chael has to point this out himself- everything he says here is 100 percent true and has zero to do with ego. And he’s right- if he doesn’t point this out no one else will. Chael was really the first guy that truly understood how to promote himself in mma and use his words COMBINED with his skill to do so. The fact that he laid out the blueprint on how to defeat the “unbeatable” Anderson Silva in the era where Silva was so dominate is a massive accomplishment on its own not even mentioning all of his other accomplishments which he was forced to bring up in this video because no other media source does. Just because he can promote himself well doesn’t mean he isn’t an amazing fighter- these two things are not mutually exclusive. Chael- I’m rooting for you to win this tournament and become heavyweight champion! What an absolutely amazing accomplishment that would be as a career long middle weight!

Even if I don't agree all the time , the rap sheet he has in MMA speaks for its self. 1v1 combat sports are so under appreciated and it starts with the understanding of the little micro games people play with each other before they get in that cage. We will never get the praise we feel we deserve. But we can get negative attention fairly easily... That's the sad mentality of the media. They don't care about the mini macro things going on in the sports that actually make a difference. From weight cutting to PEDs with usada. And then just overlooking some of the greatest just for numbers. Bring back Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris how much will that sell ? Who cares anyone's records or careers. It's just about numbers.

I've also been frustrated with all of the bashing of President Trump by these "journalists" during their MMA talk. I only just recently learned that all of those sites: BloodyElbow, MMAMania, MMANation - all the SBNation sites are all owned by Vox Media. Vox Media is run by none other than Ezra Klein, former Washington Post "journalist" - and I use that term very loosely with him. It's awesome to be able to listen to intelligent MMA-related discussion on your channel. Thank you for being a sane, TRUE journalist. These videos are all great!
