- David Byrne - One Fine Day (Ride, Rise, Roar)
"Filled with great songs and some really bizarre, energetic and sexy dancing...a downright beautifully shot and edited concert film." -- Wired
"Ride, Rise, Roar" is a live concert film featuring David Byrne that blends riveting onstage performances with insightful behind the scenes sequences of the creative collaborations that make the music and the performance happen. The film was shot before and during the 2008/09 concert tour that blended David Byrne's intelligent, articulate and beautifully crafted pop music with the very best of modern dance. Between the songs the film follows auditions, choreography sessions and rehearsals and there are interviews with the key participants.

A song better than any prayer❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Probably one of the most moving songs I’ve ever heard. Thank you, Mr. Byrne.
I feel like I've experienced this song rather than listened to it over the years. I appreciate the work that Byrne and Eno did on this, and I hope that they were well rewarded for it.
I enjoyed every second of this video.
Great song.
I'm convinced Mr. David Byrne could successfully sing the phone book.
His voice is strong and melodious or as he would sing "same as it ever was"
Tx.
You have to love him!!!!!
Outstanding song. Love it.
I interpret it as a transition to a new life. Or the Afterlife.
Introduced to this amazing song through the TV show Resident Alien last week! When I looked up David Byrne, I discovered he lived in Canada as a child, in Hamilton, and just a few streets over from me! As I walked past his old home yesterday I wondered if we wandered the same pre/elementary school hallways, albeit decades apart.....
No David, it was not torn down for condos
Resident Alien also brought me. Such wonderful music on that quirky, lovable series. The quality the soundtrack and how relatable each song is to the story can make the difference between just ok, or unforgettable. The writers and music director knock it out of the park every week.
BRILLANTE BYRNE BRILLANTE !!!!!!!!!
Sublime x
Awesome song. Is this about the afterlife? It’s a beautiful song.
Edwin, good question, but I think about it as about the beautiful finitude of what we have here on earth.
I think he's singing about his last day on earth.
@@bpatrickhoburgI like that word.. finitude
@@RataStuey It is a fine word, finitude, because we genuinely only have a little bit of time on this spaceship earth. I personally feel grateful everyday I’m alive, despite all of the turmoil. We ought to be happy we are alive.
Saw the wanderin' eye, inside my heart
Shouts and battle cries, from every part
I can see those tears, every one is true
When the door appears, I'll go right through, oh
I stand in liquid light, like everyone
I built my life with rhymes, to carry on
And it gives me hope, to see you there
The things I used to know, that one fine
One fine day
In a small dark room- where I will wait
Face to face I find- I contemplate
Even though a man- is made of clay
Everything can change- that one fine-
Then before my eyes, is standing still
I beheld it there, a city on a hill
I complete my tasks, one by one
I remove my masks, when I am done
Is it possible to get tired of listening to this? If you thumb-down it, get some help.
