You don’t need to trim your pottery?

That is correct, if you don’t want to trim your pottery you can use this push foot method. Make sure to remove any extra clay at the base of the clay before you remove them from the potter’s wheel and at the leather-hard stage, roll the edge and push the bottom of the pottery in with the palm of your hand. This is my push foot method. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. But if you do want to trim check out the trimming video to see one way to trim the bottom of a piece of pottery.
