I don't think I'm frustrated just because we lost, I think it's because we lost to the Clippers. Like the fact that Luka's 0-2 against them and then the series started off like THIS just makes me so frustrated because I don't want them to lose to the Clippers again.

Luka shoot selection was too bad in the Game 1. If shooting wasn't good , you should figure out how to let your role player to do but not enforce perform shot attempt

As the series progresses, Harden will eventually dissappear rendering THJ capable of guarding him.
Josh is everything the Clippers aren't: young. Always ready to disrupt, scrap and run. He WILL cause a ruckus. And especially when confidence and team esteem is down, those qualities are preferable to tenuous streak shooting and dubious d.
I would play Green over Hardaway. We need to be more physical on D and play faster. Other than that I think the Mavs shouldn't overreact.

THJ does nothing right
Luka needs to stop looking to facilitate if he’s on single coverage. They need to force the double and play 4 on 3.
They need to increase their intensity and physicality. This game was a fluke but it got there because of momentum and that was the Mav’s fault. They need to be intentional on their close outs and defensive assignments.
I’m a Mavs fan I have Mavs in 5 and I had the Clips winning game 1 because Clippers are comfortable and they have more experience.
If Mavs win this series then they will be in the WCF. They need this challenge early and I’m happy the Clippers test them in all facets.
Let these dudes elevate their level and not take anything for granted.

I think that's the problem with the Mav's; you guys are over looking a better Clippers team. Especially from a depth standpoint. Mav's fans are suffering from recency bias. You guys closed the season good, but playing against mediocre talent.
Big Time Mavs fan. first and foremost. Let's keep in mind that this team is young very inexperienced when it comes to players that have never played in a playoff series. Not to mention they've only been together for a couple of months. And we're going against veterans that are hungry for a championship. James harden, Westbrook etc . These are very experienced playoff players that have yet to win a championship. Yeah not one bit surprised of the outcome in game 1. And honestly I can see the Mavs losing this series. And it will be great experience going forward into next season. The Mavs can very well win the series and moves to the next round. First half was not a fluke. Mavs stars haven’t played 10 days. Last two games of the season were blow-out losses that destroyed the reserves self esteem. They entered the post season in a bad way.

Luka Doncic was never in the area code of the player he was supposed to guard. They scored maybe 70 points on him. Harden when he saw Luka just shot the ball all go to the basket. If Luka continues being Luka this is 4:0
Luka throws the ball directly to the other team and doesn't help on D: no reaction. Luka makes potentially nice pass to Kleber in the key and doesn't connect: Luka throws fit. I sure hope Luka's talent outweighs his lack of leadership skills. Winning is subtle and involves comprehensive self-esteem. Btw Isaac: Coonsquad/ Dune lifer. I think this team plays much better and more free with their backs against the wall, they will bounce back. They weren’t themselves yesterday, Luka wasn’t even passing well, and the one lob he tried to lively wasn’t even smooth, Gifford missed 3 fg including a dunk, Tim missed a layup, Kleber bricked all his 3’s. On the other side PG and Harden were making some ridiculous 3’s. None of that shit is normal, Mavs in 5!!!
This has been a problem all season. As good as Luka is, when his shoot is not falling or he’s losing the ball, and it happens often, he really hurts his team and puts his team in a hole.
Everyone, outside ofLuka and Kyrie, are playing scared and they are not ready. Also, why is Kleber still on the team?!
I was worried Mavs rested everyone last 2 games because they should have focused on staying in rhythm. Also I think Mavs fans have always been delusional about Luka vs Clips narrative. The mavs have been winning since Kyrie took a more prominent role hence why the clippers were attacking Luka all game. they want Luka to be more ball dominant to force him to be easy to attack on defense force him to bad 3s and overall make him tired and force quick decision making. The more ball dominant Luka will be in 4 quarters the better chance Clips have of winning. Luka should play a bit more off ball for scoring and on ball for playmaking. This way he isn't being attacked on defense and isn't forcing bad 3s.

LOL that's the stupidest thing ever after losing and not making any adjustments at all and reasoning out that it's a fluke? If there's anyone who doesn't need to make adjustments it's the clippers until dallas can prove they can win against them then that's a sure fire way to lose the series! Losers adjusts winners don't have to change anything that works and not the other way around! And the first thing to improving is recognizing that there is a problem to begin with and not be in denial and blame it as a fluke it's like relying on luck/chance instead of being confident in your skills?!

The Clippers overall are just a better "team"; Luka is a stud! Irving is an awesome star, but after that who else do you have? PG13 (My GOAT) was average on offense, the Mav's did a great job playing good D on PG13. So if you have PG13 having only 22 points and playing average, Normal Powell played bad, scored 5 points, and no Kawhi?? How objectively do you guys see the Mavs winning this series.
Man I know that I'm a Clippers fan, but right now I'm not picking us to come out of the west. I said it before the series, Gafford is "to" small. Throughout his career he's always struggled against bigger centers, "always", in Washington, and Chicago. Lively is awesom!!! but he's a rookie.
Sorry guys , although Luka normally dominates the Clipps, we are ok with letting him get his. You have to know that the Clippers are in Luka's head, more than any other team. psychologically Luka is affected mentally by the Clippers.
