Word of advise, don't try to do it against Egyptian players. Unless they are not scouting you, your up against axeman/MU & priest and it's gg pretty quickly. Maybe in that case the toxotes instead of hoplites will increase your chances somewhat.
I would love to know how to stop it as greek? We get so few héroes compared to other civs, You just spam their respective héroes but as greek You can't stop this can You?
minator rush works only on greek enemies. Eggy has priest norse has hersir and atty has 1 click hero upgrade. So greek has not enough hero unit to stop tons of minators. I never ever do this strategy against non greek gods :( matter fact hoplite rush works better :D
I am so ass at this game compared to aoe2. I have no clue on units, which ones are strong, which ones counter. I'm taking 30 mins to finish a game on average! Vs moderate bots. Too engrossed in the graphics and units.
Yes it takes some getting used to regarding unit counters but that will come with more experience. Greeks are the most aoe2 like civ as the counters work in a similar way.
@@msrsamsri myth units do struggle if the norse player has gone heavy in to hirsir, correct. You just need to target those with the hoplites as best as you can. I have won more often vs norse but it is hard for sure. Restoration helps a lot in being able to reduce their troops numbers, when you have done that it’s easier to keep their troops number down and snowball.
@@MorleyGames1 I find that vs nords is way better to do only archers and hoplites, as the archers have advantage vs hirsirs since they are infantry. I dont even attempt to use myth units on them (until I get collossus, then I do collossus rush)
@@msrsamsri there is no colossus rush or smt in this game. montrous rage and colossus upgrades are so expensive they just 500 hp veeeery slow moving targets. But if ur eco booms like crazy yeah u can do that after 30 mins :D
@@LaughingCoffin-ub3oo I said rush but I meant, annihilation? 😂, what I am trying to say is going to mythic age asap and spam 4-5 temples with collossus with underworld passage, there is nothing the enemy can do, even with heroes, too many mobs. In classic this was easier true, bit still doable in retold, I have done it a few times, you do need underworld passage tho.

It was fun while it lasted, this patch (13/09/2024) did hurt for this rush, buffs to TC and nerfs to Hades and Minotaurs...

@@Erik1495 no, you can’t really stop it easily. Whilst greek heroes are very strong the enemy can focus them down

Why would u minotaur rush if u have Ares ?
He's being slept on for real Ares is better than Athena

The Cyclops' special attack has been nerfed while the minotaur's has been super buffed, also minotaurs are so much faster
