Great explainer. After buying the 0289 kit I found the older unboxing video linked from the product page of the website. It confusingly mentions two old sku's without explaining the difference. So glad this new edition clears that up!

Any plans on putting those Flex era 4 on a light bar? I have 4 flex eras. 2 spot on my bumper and 2 combo as a ditch light. They are exceptionally bright!

you are not going to Outrun your light anyway, doesn't matter how fast you drive.
the light is in front of you by a couple of feet and the faster you go, the light will go that fast also because it is still in front of you traveling the same speed you are.
I do want to get the Flex Era 4 combo with additional Amber cover for my JLUR corner mount on bumper.

It’s an expression used in the racing world meaning the light distance available to you is not sufficient enough for the speed you are traveling. For example, if a light is only 10ft in front of you, that is fine if you are crawling at a couple mph but if you are traveling 60-70mph that light might as well be off as relatively speaking you’ve outrun it! But yes of course unless you’re traveling faster than the speed of light you can’t outrun your light! - Jacob
