This is probably the clearest video i've seen regarding a travel trip, very well planned out and your way of explaining stuff is very smooth and straight to the point. this info will help a ton and would really love to see more of these videos.
Thank you so much for this video series. As a viewer it’s always lovely to see your adventures but I think all the planning that is involved in backpacking is never really addressed by travel vloggers. Although it is so interesting!
I’ve watched this 3 times and today I finally sat down with my laptop making my notes, and I’m going to use all this for my trip at the end of the year. Thank you so much for this amazing video, you’re my favourite travel blogger and very rarely watch anyone else anymore
I'm literally in the Philippines traveling for four weeks right now and I keep coming back to this guide! Best video I have found on the internet. Absolutely love your channel! Keep up the great work! 😁
travel advisory usually discourage foreigners in visiting mindanao generally speaking due to experiences before or years ago..but if you check out foreign vloggers such as BECOMING FILIPINO, BRET MAVERICK, FINN SNOW to name a few then i hope that it might change your mind or for other foreigners minds as well.. there are parts in mindanao that is discourage for foreigners to visit but travel advisory just generalize mindanao as a whole..thanks for visiting the PHILIPPINES, hoping you might come back and have a change of heart about MINDANAO..
Watched this video and your video series in the Philippines over two years ago in lockdown and added the Philippines to the top of my travel list! I’m now watching again as I have finally booked my flight there!! Love all your videos, you inspire me to travel every day!!!
I absolutely love the passion that radiates from you in your videos! I can't tell you how much they have helped me with planning my next trip. Thank you 🙌
love it was so worth the wait the maps showing where the places are you were talking about were so helpful to get some perspective. amazing content Christianne xx
I've watched this video multiple times for my 3 week solo backpacking trip!! Currently in the Philippines and rewatxhing it haha, thanks soooo much for this informative video 😊
Now you know why it’s more fun in the Philippines!😊 Getting bored, lonely, or depressed are unheard of. So many things to do, so many people to meet, and so little time. Those who realize what a paradise the Philippines is end up retiring here.🏝😊
This was so so so helpful, the way you put the maps in was excellent, thank you so much I really love watching videos like this and love your Chanel. xx
Nice travel guide. I've been to Manila once, but I haven't visited other cities / islands in the Philippines yet. This video is very informative and helpful ..
Thanks so much for this!! Very helpful! I'm planning on going in December, i have limited time so doing a tour, but would like to stay longer so great to get some ideas! :)
Just a suggestion you should also do scuba dive in Camiguin, the two small islands have nice dive sites, specially Mantigue island havea lot of huge turtles. I really loved it there 🥰
You're the person I've found on RUclips that packs and travels most like me, so I love these travel videos detailing what you got up to! Amazing inspiration for the Philippines. Thank you for the hard work you put in. By the way I get a real laugh every time you mention partying, and I think back to whatever Philippines vlog it was that you kept trying to get some rest but ended up accidentally going out each night. So familiar. 😂 The woes of being an extrovert!
@@BackpackingBananas Yeah that was the one!!! 😂 Anyway, for real, thanks. I'm slowly building up a travel blog and teaching myself how to be in front of the camera so when I head to SE Asia and Australia this December, I already have a platform to work with. But I never would have been able to even think about starting without the inspiration from your channel.
Wish I had 35mins to quickly watch this before work but sadly I don't, thank you Christianne for all the effort put into this, it's going to help and encourage so many people!
You are the best and my trusted source for cost and activities for all the international destinations I have traveled to thus far. Basically I am bananas for your channel.
Yes, this was great! Just the type of video I am looking for with my upcoming trip to the Philippines next month. And I've added Port Barton to the list thanks to you!
This video helped me a lot to prepare my trip. Due to Coronavirus I actually ended up getting marooned in El Nido, Palawan for 4 months. I now know that town like the back of my hand, if anyone has any questions about going there in the future, let me know!
Thank you so much for this detailed video! Saved me tremendous amount of time researching. Straight to the point while also very informative. You rock!
Hi Christianne 😊 This is absolutely useful for those who are planning to visit The Amazing Philippines 🇵🇭 Thank You for visiting & showing our country to the world. We hope to see you back soon 😀 Mindanao is a huge Island & it's not as bad as how the news reports as I was born & raised there.. Siargao Island in Surigao where you went is actually in Mindanao, Davao City, Cagayan De Oro, & Gen. Santos City are safe to travel to. We have vloggers who choosed Cagayan as their home base like Becoming Filipino & Bret Maverick 😀
Perhaps I'll visit Mindanao one day, and I agree, I'm sure it's not all bad! I was taking the advice from locals I had met whilst there who advised me against travel as well as our travel insurers who do not cover us for that region.
Mindanao is a massive island and 80% of it is perfectly safe. Both Camiguin and Siargao are actually considered part of Mindanao, not the Visayas Islands. Siargao culture is closely connected to the people of Butuan, Surigao and Davao Oriental; while the people of Camiguin are closely connected to the people of Cagayan de Oro and Bukidnon. It doesn't suddenly turn into a warzone by crossing a few miles of water. The only area you _need_ to avoid is the autonomous Muslim regions which comprise only a very small part of the island in the extreme southwest (basically the area around the Moro Gulf as well as the Sulu Islands). It's easy to avoid those areas because even the locals avoid them too. That's my only nitpick.
Amazing video! You really helped me with planning my trip around the philippines! I loved that you were not only in the video but were showing the maps and some personal video fragments. :)
This is super helpful for planning a trip. Would be a biiiit more helpful if you just wrote down the names of the different places you mention in the video description. YT labeled the Siquijor section as "city hall" with time-stamps and had a hard time figuring out where exactly you were talking about hahah
Commenting per your insta request!!! Don’t have time to watch the whole video now, but definitely will when I get home! I’m sure it’ll be a great video (as all your videos are)! Love ya christianne!
I love your vlogs. so much information. And the views are beautiful. Now with the lockdown have you thought of maybe joining one of the sailing shows? You would be such an amazing addition to one of those crews. Thinking Sailing Doodles for you.
This is the best video you’ve made so far 😍 for your next video mention what you did for food please? As in did you eat out every day? Were there any supermarkets? X
Your content is just amazing. Love your voice! My youtube channel is far behind yours in terms of advices. My mom and I will be in the Philippines next February and we are using your channel as main reference and tips source!
Thanks for this very informational video! one of the most detailed ones I have watched and definitely helped me plan the trip. But I have one thing that botherd me and that was everytime you said "this was more expensive" or "that was cheap". I would really love to here exact numbers because I really don't know what expensive or cheap is in your eyes.😅 I know prices have changed over last 3-4 years but still, that would help a lot with planning :)
These are only a fraction of 7,000 plus islands and islets in the 🇵🇭.😁😆😂 Thank you for your great effort of putting it together. Love your adventure Christianne. 👍👌
It should be Metro Manila and specify Makati city, common mistake. There is Manila city and Makati city is different from Manila city. I've watched ur vlogs and it is encouraging for female tourists not to be scared to travel alone in the Philippines. Just like any other country and it is reasonable to be wary if ur not familiar to a particular place. Nice vlogs
This is probably the clearest video i've seen regarding a travel trip, very well planned out and your way of explaining stuff is very smooth and straight to the point. this info will help a ton and would really love to see more of these videos.
Yay 🤩 that's exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you ❤️
True! Love this and please make similar guides for your future travels like this 😘
Don't normally comment on videos, however I must say this one is really well done! Extremely informative, fun, and there were pictures!
Yay! Thank you for commenting 🤩🤩 I worked really hard on this one so that means a lot 😊
Thank you so much for this video series. As a viewer it’s always lovely to see your adventures but I think all the planning that is involved in backpacking is never really addressed by travel vloggers. Although it is so interesting!
It's my pleasure ❤️❤️ I'll try and make more planning videos like this!!
You are so naturally detailed in whatever you do!! Love it!! This is truly a holy bible for backpacking the Philippines. :)
Thank you ❤️❤️ I try to be! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Hallelujah Philippines.

The island hopping tour in Port Barton is the best I have done. Swam with turtles with no one else around besides my dad and the tourguide.
Your vid has convinced me I'm going to the phillipines 💜 solo female traveller excited for this trip xx
BB, you nailed it. I admire your knowledge about the PH. Napamahal ka na sa amin. You're always very welcome to come back.
best guide for the Philippines on the internet (I have have seen alot), specially with the maps.

I'm going back to the philippines next week. super exctied to go so thank you for all this information.
There are several travel RUclipsrs I follow that are fairly obnoxious, but you have always seemed a lot more laid back and "real". Love your videos!
Thanks 😊
Which are the obnoxious ones? 😂
Well I’ll be pulling this video out of the files when I get to the Phillipines one day 😍 Amazing work!
Hundy P 🤩🤩🤩
What an excellent overview! I'll have to watch this multiple times before heading out to the Phillipines!

@@BackpackingBananas It is defintitly worth it, just to have the visuals as well as you talking through everything as well😄😊
Your series are amazing, definitely taking note of your recommendation. Thanks for sharing.

My favorite was also the expedition from El Nido to Coron. I wish I had the luxury of time! (and money, really 😂)
Don't we all 😅
If you go back to the Philippines stay at alona beach for a few days. Its worth it for the diving it's the best place I dived in the Philippines.
Good to know!
